Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a golf ball marker with a leveling function and more particularly to a golf ball marker with a leveling function to mark the current position of a golf ball and at the same time, to measure the horizontal state of a putting green as a leveler.

[0003] 2. Brief Description of the Related Art

[0004] In general, a coin or a disc-shaped synthetic product with an engraved sports maker's logo (symbol) or letter is used as a golf ball marker. These golf ball markers are good to mark the current position of a golf ball on the putting green, but inadequate to check the horizontal state of the green.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] It is an object of the present invention to solve the aforementioned problems and provide a golf ball marker with a leveling function to easily check the horizontal state of a green with eyes as well as to mark the current position of a golf ball on the putting green.

[0006] In order to accomplish the aforementioned object of the present invention, there is provided a golf ball marker with a leveling function which includes a leveler at a predetermined position of a marker body to measure the horizontal state of a green.

[0007] Also, the leveler is constructed with a transparent member to be fixed with an external circular side corresponding to an internal circular side of an insertion hole formed in the marker body and a material filled in the transparent member to flow the position of bubbles according to the horizontal angle of the green.

[0008] In addition, the material is filled with a quantity of liquid to get bubbles made in the transparent member and vacuum-sealed and to get the bubbles reacted to flow according to the horizontal level of the marker body, thereby measuring a difference in height of green.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0009] For fuller understanding of the nature and object of the invention, reference should be made to the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings in which:

[0010] FIG. 1 is a perspective view for illustrating a golf ball marker with a leveling function in accordance with the present invention;

[0011] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view cut along line A-A in FIG. 1

[0012] FIGS. 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d are plan views for illustrating various external shapes applied to a golf ball marker of the present invention; and

[0013] FIGS. 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d and 4e are plan views for illustrating external shapes of various levels.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to accompanying drawings.

[0015] The golf ball marker with a leveling function of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, comprises a disc-shaped marker body 10 with a circular insertion hole 12 at central portion thereof and a leveler 20 inserted into an insertion hole 12 of the marker body 10 to measure a horizontal level.

[0016] At this time, the leveler 20 is constructed with a disc-shaped transparent member 22 having an external circular surface corresponding to an internal circular surface of the insertion hole 12 of the marker body 10 to be fixed with an adhesive, thermally fused or fit with pressure, a predetermined quantity of a liquid material 24 filled in the transparent member 22, a little less than the internal volume of the transparent member 22 for flowing bubbles 26 according to the horizontal level of the green.

[0017] In other words, the material 24 is liquid, water or other flexible liquid, being filled and vacuum-sealed with a predetermined quantity thereof to get bubbles to be made in the transparent member, and simultaneously getting the bubbles 26 to be reacted to flow according to the horizontal level of the marker body 10, thereby measuring a difference in height of the putting green.

[0018] On the other hand, in the marker of the present invention, the external shape of the marker body 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d can be varied as shown in FIGS. 3a through 3d, and the leveler 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d, 20e can also be modified into various forms as shown in FIGS. 4a through 4e. Also, if necessary, various shapes of the marker body 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d and leveler 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d, 20e may be correspondingly combined for differentiation of a marker.

[0019] The golf ball marker thus constructed is used for marking the current position of a golf ball close to a player's hole to eliminate a disturbing element from others' golf balls which are laid far away from the hole before the other players putt their balls to the hole in the putting area. The marker gives the player a moment to remove any foreign matter attached to the ball and, at the same time, allows the player to measure the horizontal state of the green.

[0020] In other words, the leveler 20 is included at the center of the marker body 10. When the marker is placed on the green, the material 24 filled in the transparent member 22 of the leveler 20 mounted at the marker body 10 is reacted to flow and stop the bubbles 26 to measure a difference in the height (the degree of a slop) of the green.

[0021] At this time, if the bubbles 26 are positioned to the left in the transparent member 22 of the leveler 20, the green is measured to be higher at the left side of the green and lower at the right side of the green. The flowing direction of bubbles 26 as such can be revealed outside through the transparent member 22 to let the user to easily determine and recognize with eyes.

[0022] As described above, there is an advantage in the golf ball marker having a leveling function in that the leveler is included at the center of the marker body for two simultaneous functions of marking the current position of a golf ball in the putting area and measuring the horizontal state of the green.
