Ribbon discharger where gas cartrige and charged gas are interchangeable

Disclosed is a ribbon discharger for congratulation where a closed portable gas cartridge and a charged gas are interchangeable to each other and being capable of being used in simple and safe manners and particularly used for all of users in a more effective manner. The ribbon discharger where a gas cartridge set and gas charged are interchangeable, for discharging five-colored paper pieces and ribbon rolls by using a pressure of gas charged, is characterized in that a firing pin for a back gas cartridge having a side plate and a stem of a gas discharging valve, a spring and an internal stopper to which a protrusion of the back gas cartridge is inserted in the named order are inserted into the front portion of a gas tank, a front stopper to which a screw type firing pin for a front gas cartridge is inserted is fixedly fitted on the front end of the gas tank, and the back gas cartridge whose protrusion is positioned backward and the front gas cartridge whose protrusion is positioned forward are charged into the space of the gas tank between the internal stopper and the front stopper, whereby the five-colored paper pieces and ribbon rolls are discharged by the selective exhaustion of gas.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a ribbon discharger for congratulation where a closed portable gas cartridge and a charged gas are interchangeable to each other.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] With the development of entertainment culture, a ribbon discharger is generally used to discharge a large amount of five-colored paper pieces and ribbon rolls in order to congratulate a hero or a heroine and at the same time raise an atmosphere of the congratulation on a party place such as a large wedding hall, a banquet hall and so on.

[0005] In recreation fields, recently, various congratulation events are held by using the ribbon discharger that discharges the five-colored paper pieces or rolls of five-colored ribbon, together with congratulation music.

[0006] A typical ribbon discharger used for the above purpose has the same structure as a known gas type air gun having an air compressing and discharging structure. To the contrary, it has a diameter of the barrel of about 50 mm and if the trigger pulls, a predetermined amount of compressed air is exhausted, thereby discharging the five-colored paper pieces or the rolls of five-colored ribbon that are retained in the barrel thereof.

[0007] However, the conventionally known ribbon discharger should charge the gas only on a legal gun store, whenever the gas is needed, due to the technically structural problem thereof. Or otherwise, an air gun charging gas bomb or an expensive compression air bomb used by a skin scuba diver should be purchased irrespective of its price, such that there occur some problems that it is not easy to continuously use, an economic load is increased, and an unexpected accident may be caused due to carelessness of a user. Of course, this results in the reduction of the use of the ribbon discharger.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide a ribbon discharger that is capable of being used in simple and safe manners and particularly used for all of users in a more effective manner.

[0009] To attain this and other objects of the present invention, there is provided a ribbon discharger capable of selectively mounting a gas charging valve stopper adapted to be opened for charging gas at a predetermined place, and a screw type firing pin for a front gas cartridge and a firing pin for a back gas cartridge which form a hole on the front and back gas cartridges, respectively, upon firing, to thereby discharge rolls of ribbon by the pressure of gas exhausted from the hole.

[0010] The present invention has the following two characteristics: First, the ribbon discharger of the present invention includes two capsule type closed portable gas cartridges each having a diameter of 19 mm and a length of 83 mm, and when in use, the two cartridges are mounted into a gas tank of the ribbon discharger; and Second, a gas charging method that is the same as the conventional known method is embodied.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0017] Now, an explanation of the construction and operation of a ribbon discharger for congratulation according to the present invention will be hereinafter discussed with reference to FIGS. 2 to 6.

[0018] As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, there is provided a firing pin 3b for a back gas cartridge 17′ on the front portion of a side plate 3a of a gas discharging valve 2. The firing pin 3b is adapted to pierce a hole on the protrusion of the back gas cartridge 17′ in order to exhaust gas from the formed hole. Also, an internal stopper 5 of a ring shape, which is supported by a spring 4, is inserted into the front side of the firing pin 3b, into which the protrusion of the back gas cartridge 17′ is fitted, such that the back gas cartridge 17′ can be maintained without any fluctuation.

[0019] Then, a front stopper 6 is inserted into the front end of a gas tank 1. On the center of the front stopper 6 is provided an external firing pin 7 which is adapted to pierce a hole on the protrusion of a front gas cartridge 17 in order to exhaust gas from the formed hole. The external firing pin 7 is fitted to the front stopper 6 in a screw-coupling manner and is finely adjusted in accordance with the position of the front end side of the protrusion of the front gas cartridge 17.

[0020] On the other hand, the ribbon discharger G of the present invention is provided with the gas tank 1 which forms a screw line on the inner peripheral surface of the one end portion of the both end portions opened thereof, a lever operating hole 1a and a fixed screw hole 1c to be passed through the side thereof on the portion where the screw line is not formed, and a gas discharging hole 1b on the top surface thereof. On the top surface of the gas tank 1, two coupling bolts 12 are vertically installed.

[0021] A gas discharging valve 2, which is provided with a valve stem hole 2c of an axial center, a fixed screw hole 2b and a gas discharging hole 2a, is fixedly inserted into the gas tank 1. And, a stem 3 of the internal firing pin 3b is inserted into the stem hole 2c of the gas discharging valve 2.

[0022] The gas discharging valve 2 is assembled to a hammer 8 having a spring groove 8a, a trigger locking projection 8b and a lever coupling hole 8c, a spring 9 and a handle 10 having a stopper pin 10b and a back stopper 10a in the named order, on the rear portion thereof. The hammer 8 is screw-coupled to a lever 8d from the outside through the lever operating hole la. And, the gas tank 1 is assembled to a trigger bundle 11 including a trigger 11a and a keeper 11b on the bottom surface thereof, and a bush 15 is inserted into the gas discharging hole 1b of the gas tank 1 and the gas discharging hole 2a of the gas discharging valve 2. The gas tank 1 is assembled to a molding 13 and a gun barrel 14, sequentially, by means of the coupling bolts 12, on the top surface thereof and then fixed by means of a nut 12a.

[0023] If the ribbon discharger G of the present invention is to be used, as shown in FIG. 4, a plurality of ribbon rolls 19 are firstly charged in the interior of the gun barrel 14 and the lever 8d pulls backward. Next, the front stopper 6 is drawn from the gas tank 1 and the back gas cartridge 17′ whose protrusion is placed backward and the front gas cartridge 17 whose protrusion is placed forward are charged in the named order. Then, the inlet of the gas tank 1 is closed by the front stopper 6 and the external firing pin 7 is turned in a clockwise direction, not to move the front and back gas cartridges 17 and 17′.

[0024] If the external firing pin 7 is tightened, a needle 7a thereof pierces the protrusion of the front gas cartridge 17, thereby forming a hole thereon. At this time, the gas 20, which is retained at a high pressure, for example, 150 kg/cm2, in the front gas cartridge 17, is exhausted and filled in the interior of the gas tank 1. Then, if the trigger 11a is pulled, the hammer 8 that has been compressed by the lever 8d is released and at the same time advances, thereby hitting the rear end of the stem 3 of the internal firing pin 3b. Thereby, the side plate 3a advances to open the gas discharging valve 2, such that the gas 20 charged between the gas discharging valve 2 and the internal stopper 5 is momentarily exhausted. At the same time, the internal stopper 5 is closed to compress the spring 4 and the internal firing pin 3b advances to pierce the protrusion of the back gas cartridge 17′, with a consequence that the gas 20 of the back gas cartridge 17′ and the gas 20 remaining while not being exhausted yet are all charged in the interior of the gas tank 1. The gas is exhausted at the time when the side plate 3a operates to open the passage of the gas discharging valve 2. Therefore, the amount of the gas 20 charged in the gas tank 1 is not discharged at a time and discharged by a predetermined amount each operation. This enables the use of about 10 times.

[0025] On the other hand, if the gas is to be charged from a separate gas tank, the front stopper 6 is detached from the gas tank 1 and the front and back gas cartridges 17 and 17′ are then removed. As shown in FIG. 6, a gas charging valve 18 is mounted on the gas tank 1, through which the gas is charged.

[0026] As discussed in the above, there is provided a ribbon discharger according to the present invention which is capable of interchanging the gas cartridges into which a predetermined amount of gas has been charged and the gas charged, when in use.

[0027] In addition, the ribbon discharger according to the present invention gives an economic advantage that gas of a relatively low price can be charged when compared to an expensive bomb type gas.

Claims

1. A ribbon discharger where a gas cartridge set and gas charged are interchangeable, for discharging five-colored paper pieces and ribbon rolls by using a pressure of gas charged, characterized in that a firing pin for a back gas cartridge having a side plate and a stem of a gas discharging valve, a spring and an internal stopper to which a protrusion of the back gas cartridge is inserted in the named order are inserted into the front portion of a gas tank, a front stopper to which a screw type firing pin for a front gas cartridge is inserted is fixedly fitted on the front end of the gas tank, and the back gas cartridge whose protrusion is positioned backward and the front gas cartridge whose protrusion is positioned forward are charged into the space of the gas tank between the internal stopper and the front stopper, whereby the five-colored paper pieces and ribbon rolls are discharged by the selective exhaustion of gas.

2. A ribbon discharger of claim 1, wherein said front stopper is replaced with a known gas charging valve, and the front and back gas cartridges are replaced with the gas flowing through the gas charging valve.
