Inspired

Inspired is a hair care product for daily use on the hair. It is to be worn on the head on top of the hair. The design is a scarf/bonnet for the purpose of hair maintenance. The words scarf/bonnet mean that it can be worn as a scarf or a bonnet, either really close and fitting for styles such as wraps or looser for curls to waves and other styles. The scarf/bonnet aids in keeping the hair in place especially during the hours of sleep. This is the time when hair breakage is prominent from the shifting and constant brushing of the hair against the pillow. So this scarf/bonnet unlike any other for nighttime use will stay on the head to keep the hair protected and fits comfortably on the head. The design of the scarf/bonnet comes in three characteristically different modifications, one for light sleepers, one mild sleepers or for those who considerably toss and turn and the other is for those that are heavy, hard (very active) sleepers. While the basic design—fabric of the scarf/bonnet is useful to retain hair moisture, allows the hair to “breath”, it reduces the occurrence/onset of hair tangles, and breakage that can occur specifically at night.

Description
DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING

[0001] The page listed with Arabic numeral 1, is the scarf/bonnet for light sleepers. The top picture depicts two strings (the pulling device) in the front portion of the scarf/bonnet coming out of individual holes (0.25 inches) that will allow a fit to comfort. Then the drawing directly under it shows the mechanism of how the scarf is kept in place by means of pulling, tying it into a simple bow. The page with Arabic numeral 2, following simply shows the back portion of the scarf/bonnet, no special features.

[0002] The page listed with Arabic numeral 3, is the scarf/bonnet for mild-medium sleepers who do an appreciable amount of tossing and turning during the night. The top drawing depicts two strings (the pulling device) in the front portion of the scarf/bonnet coming out of individual holes. Each individual string now has pieces of Velcro attached at the ends and there is Velcro placed (approximately 1 and ½ to 2 inches) along the outer edges of the scarf/bonnet away from the holes that the strings come out of. This allows a greater fit to comfort. The drawing directly below this one shows how the strings are taken and lapped/crossed over each other and the Velcro that is on the ends of the strings is snapped into on the front portions of the scarf/bonnet. The page with Arabic number 4 shows the back portion of the scarf/bonnet, no special features.

[0003] The page listed with Arabic numeral 5, is the scarf/bonnet for heavy sleepers. The top drawing shows the sectional views of the scarf/bonnet. Starting from the arrow pointing to the right (I). This section of the scarf/bonnet is the front section it is consist of two strings with a block/rows of Velcro along them (shading of dark solid lines). The next section with the arrows pointing from the left and right (II) is the side view of the scarf/bonnet. This portion has a loop and Velcro (shading of dark solid lines) is attached to the surface of the string. The last section of the scarf/bonnet is depicted by the arrow pointing to the left (III) this is the back section of the scarf/bonnet there are no special features. Directly underneath this drawing is a drawing showing what the scarf/bonnet looks like when it has been snapped into place for use. The arrow pointing to the right (I), the front view of the scarf/bonnet is basically overlapped/one string crossing the other. Next, the arrows going left to right illustrate the side view of the scarf/bonnet and how the stings with the Velcro/the Velcro in the front is taken and snapped into the Velcro on the side portion of the scarf/bonnet. This will allow a maximum degree of fit and comfort. Then, the back view denoted by the arrow point the left (III) is shown but has no special features.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0004] Inspired:

[0005] The body of the design inspired can be made out of either the fabric silk or polyester. Accordingly, the steps in the process of the design of the scarf/bonnet are as follows. A piece of silk or polyester is taken and measured to around 17×16 inches. Small holes 0.25 inches are put into the center front (outer) portion of the fabric that are 1 and ½ inch to 2 inches apart. Next, the edges of the material are rounded and another piece of silk or polyester or, of an alternate material is measured out as 9 inches or approximately 23 cm (this will be the string/the pulling device to give the scarf/bonnet a comfortable fit on the head). The string is taken and placed along the inner edges of the fabric and pulled through the holes that are on the center front portion. Then, the inner edges of the fabric are rolled up/tucked in about ½ inch and sown in place. The string is next taken and pulled to the contour of the head/to the shape of the head and tied into a bow in the front (Drawings 1,2). Then again, this last step does not occur with the string being pulled and tied into a bow instead Velcro is placed on each side 1 and ½ to 2 inches away from the small holes in the front of the scarf/bonnet. So there is a small hole on each side and, a piece of Velcro about 2 inches from it. The mechanism/manner of use is that the strings that have the Velcro attached to there ends in the front of the scarf/bonnet are taken and pulled, overlapped/crossed and/or tied and, simply snapped into the Velcro that is 1 and ½ to 2 inches from it on the front (Drawings 3, 4).

[0006] Alternatively, Velcro is still placed onto the ends of the strings but now takes up a larger area of the string (1-1 and ½ inches) and, is positioned on the side portion (view) of the scarf/bonnet (string) not the front. That is from the temple area to the area above the ear a band of Velcro is centered with a width of 0.5-0.75 inches, and a length of 2-2.5 inches is sown in place. Additionally, there are no holes that the strings come out of instead there are loops on both sides of the scarf/bonnet that the string is pulled through. Therefore, the string consists of the all portions of the Velcro (that on the string ends and side portions). The mechanism/manner of use of this design is that the string (still 9 inches) is taken and placed into the loops on both sides of the scarf/bonnet. It is pulled through and the strings that have the Velcro attached to there ends in the front are pulled, crossed, and then snapped into the Velcro that is centered on the side portion of the scarf/bonnet (string) with a width of 0.5-0.75 inches and a length of 2-2.5 inches (Drawing 5).

Claims

1. The scarf/bonnet for light sleepers (the pg/drawing listed with Arabic numeral 1) is kept in place by means of two strings (coming out of individual holes) that are pulled from the front portion of the scarf/bonnet and subsequently tied into place (a simple bow).

2. The scarf/bonnet for mild-medium sleepers (the pg/drawing listed with Arabic numeral 3) is kept in place, made to stay on the head by means of two strings (coming out of the front of the scarf/bonnet) that have Velcro attached to their ends. Which are taken and pulled, overlapped/crossed and/or tied and, simply snapped into the Velcro that is on the front portions of the scarf/bonnet.

3. The scarf/bonnet for heavy sleepers (the pg/drawing listed with Arabic numeral 5) is kept in place, made to stay on the head by means of a string (with Velcro attached to the ends) that is taken and placed into the loops on both sides of the scarf/bonnet. The string is then pulled through and the Velcro attached to/at the ends is pulled, crossed, and then snapped into the Velcro that is centered on the side portion of the scarf/bonnet (string).
