A sports equipment comprises a main frame including a first arm, a second arm, and a third arm connected to one another, and further including a first rod and a second rod which are laterally arranged at the front end of the first arm while said first rod is spaced from said second rod; a night and left swinging mechanisms having same construction, and each including a sleeve which has a lateral channel for insertion of one of the first and second rods to be pivotally connected thereon, a handlebar fixedly secured to one end of the sleeve, a link secured to the other end of the sleeve, a pedal pivotally connected to the lower end of the link, and a piston having one end pivotally connected to one end of the first rod and another end pivotally connected to the link; and a seat assembly including a seat fixedly secured to the first arm.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to sports equipment, more particularly, to a sports equipment which can achieve exercise of any part of the human body.

[0002] Sport is a very important activity for everybody. Thus, there is a variety of sports equipment available in the market. Most of such equipment merely exercise some parts of the body, such as the arm, leg or back, rather than an exercise of the entire body. Furthermore, such sports equipment usually has the disadvantages of being bulky as to occupy a large space.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a sports equipment which can achieve exercise of any part of the user's body.

[0004] To achieve the object mentioned above, the present invention provides sports equipment comprising:

[0005] a main frame including a first arm, a second arm, and a third arm connected to one another, and further including a first rod and a second rod which are laterally arranged at the front end of the first arm while said first rod is spaced from said second rod;

[0006] a right and left swinging mechanisms having same construction, and each including a sleeve which has a lateral channel for insertion of one of the first and second rods to be pivotally connected thereon, a handlebar fixedly secured to one end of the sleeve, a link secured to the other end of the sleeve, a pedal pivotally connected to the lower end of the link, and a piston having one end pivotally connected to one end of the first rod and another end pivotally connected to the link; and

[0007] a seat assembly including a seat fixedly secured to the first arm.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0014] Referring now to FIGS. 1 and 2, the sports equipment according to the present invention comprises a main frame 10, a right swinging mechanism 20, a left swinging mechanism 30, a pulley assembly 40 and a seat assembly 50.

[0015] The main frame 10 includes a first arm 101, a second arm 102, a third arm 103, and two lateral tubes 104,105. The first, second and third arms 101,102,103 define a triangular configuration. The lateral tube 104 is fixedly secured to the lower end of the second arm 102 while the other lateral tube 105 is fixedly secured to one end of the first arm 101 and touches the ground to support the main frame 10. In addition, two rods 106,107 are laterally arranged at the front end of the first arm 101, the rod 106 being spaced from the second rod 107. A block 108 having a bore 109 is provided at the lower surface of the first arm 101.

[0016] The right swinging mechanism 20 and the left swinging mechanism 30 are of same construction. Thus, only the right swinging mechanism 20 is described in this embodiment. The right swinging mechanism 20 includes a sleeve 201 having a lateral channel 203 for insertion of the second rod 107 for pivotal connection therewith, a handlebar 204 fixedly secured to one end of the sleeve 201, a link 205 secured to the other end of the sleeve 201, a pedal 206 pivotally connected to the lower end of the link 205, a short rod 207 fixedly secured onto the middle portion of the link 205, and a piston 208 having one end 209 pivotally connected to one end of the first rod 106 and an other end 210 pivotally connected to the short rod 205. Likewise, the left swinging mechanism 30 is pivotally connected to the other end of the second rod 107 in the same manner as described above.

[0017] The pulley assembly 40 includes a frame 402 having a threaded bolt 402 inserted into the bore 109 of the block 108 and secured thereto by a nut 403, a pulley 404 pivotally connected to the frame 402 by an axle 405, and a cable 406 passed over the pulley 404. One end of the cable 406 is secured to a thin rod 311 fixedly secured to the link 305 of the left swinging mechanism 30 while the other end is secured to a thin rod 211 fixedly secured to the link 205 of the right swinging mechanism 20.

[0018] The seat assembly 50 includes a base 501 and a seat 502 having a post 503 downwardly extending therefrom. Said base 501 is provided with a gap 504 defined by two plates 505,506 and a round bore 507. The gap 504 is disposed over the first arm 101 with a bolt 508 passing through a first pair of through bores 509,510 on the base 501 while the post 503 is fixedly secured into the round bore 507 by passing a bolt 511 through a second pair of through bores 512,513 of the base 505.

[0019] Referring to FIG. 3, when the left hand of the user gripping on the handlebar 304 moves in a direction toward his own body and his leg treading upon the pedal 306 moves in a direction away from his body, the sleeve 301 rotates around the second rod 107 in a clockwise direction and causes a resistance force formed by compressing the piston 308. At the same time, such an operation pulls the cable 406 and thereby cause the rotation of the sleeve 201 of the right swinging mechanism 20 in a counterclockwise direction. The short rod 207 thus stretches the piston 208. Referring to FIG. 4, the user with his right hand subsequently pulls the handlebar 204 in a direction toward his body with his leg treading upon the pedal 206 in a direction away from his body. The sleeve 201 consequently rotates around the second rod 107 in a clockwise direction to cause a resistance force formed by compressing the piston 208. Such an operation as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 causes stretching and compression of the two pistons 208,308 so that any part of the body is exercised.

[0020] Referring to FIG. 5 which shows an operational view of another embodiment according to the present invention, the pulley assembly 40 shown in FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 is removed. Therefore, the two legs of the user respectively tread upon the two pedals 206,306 to and fro in a synchronous or asynchronous manner to enable, the two pistons 208,308 to stretch and compress so that the two legs can be exercised.

[0021] While there is shown and described herein certain specific structures embodying the present invention, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modification and rearrangements of the parts may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the underlying inventive concept.

Claims

1. A sports equipment, comprising

a main frame including a first arm, a second arm, and a third arm connected to one another, and further including a first rod and a second rod which are laterally arranged at the front end of the first arm while said first rod is spaced from said second rod;
a right and left swinging mechanisms having same construction, and each including a sleeve which has a lateral channel for insertion of one of the first and second rods to be pivotally connected thereon, a handlebar fixedly secured to one end of the sleeve, a link secured to the other end of the sleeve, a pedal pivotally connected to the lower end of the link, and a piston having one end pivotally connected to one end of the first rod and another end pivotally connected to the link; and
a seat assembly including a seat fixedly secured to the first arm.

A sports equipment as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a pulley assembly, pivotally connected to the bottom surface of the first arm, and including a pulley and a cable passed over the pulley, one end of the cable being secured to the link of the left swinging mechanism while the other end is secured to the link of the right swinging mechanism.

A sports equipment as claimed in claim 1, wherein the main frame further includes two lateral tubes, one lateral tube being fixedly secured to the lower end of the second arm while the other lateral tube being fixedly secured to one end of the first arm and touching the ground to support the main frame.
