DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT[0025] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular, to FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, the preferred embodiment of the new and improved bathtub protection device embodying the principles and concepts of the present invention and generally designated by the reference number 10 will be described.
[0026] Specifically, it will be noted in the various figures that the device relates to a bathtub protection device for protecting a finish of a bathtub from becoming damaged during renovations. In its broadest context, the device consists of a plurality of leather panels and a padded floor. Such components are individually configured and correlated with respect to each other so as to attain the desired objective.
[0027] The plurality of leather panels 12 are positionable over the bottom wall, peripheral side wall, and upper peripheral wall of the bathtub. The plurality of leather panels 12 have a series of central hook and loop strips 14 disposed thereon to allow the leather panels 12 to be secured together to form a single protective panel. The plurality of leather panels 12 have a plurality of peripheral hook and loop strips 16 thereon corresponding with a plurality of hook and loop strips 18 that can be positioned on the upper peripheral wall of the bathtub. The hook and loop strips 18 can be secured to the bathtub by an adhesive. The mating of the hook and loop strips 16,18 allow the plurality of panels 12 to be held in place on the bathtub. The use of the hook and loop strips 16,18 will limit the amount of movement of the plurality of panels 12 to fully protect the finish of the bathtub. The use of a plurality of panels 12 allows the replacement of a single panel if it becomes damaged instead of having to replace the entire covering structure.
