Description
BACKGROUND

[0001] A standard toilet seat assembly presents difficulty for a small child for toilet training. Toilet training inserts cause difficulties as they must be handled often and stored, usually ‘out in plain sight’ in the bathroom. This invention allows for not only toilet training needs, but benefits the entire family in regard to sizing and sanitation. Neither residential nor commercial toilet seats currently being used fully address the sanitation issue of the toilet seat hinge assembly nor the toilet bowl top area that the hinge assembly bolts to.

[0002] Because of these sanitation and health concerns I submit my invention,

[0003] “The Everybody Potty”.

SUMMARY

[0004] Due to the design of The Everybody Potty and its ability to quickly and easily be removed from the toilet bowl, a high level of sanitation is achieved. This reduces the possibility of contact by the user with weeks or months of accumulated waste/bacteria build-up.

[0005] Commercially, the Everybody Potty may be removed, disinfected and reinstalled in it's entirety in virtually seconds, on a daily basis.

[0006] Residentially, the same may be done or on a weekly basis, if preferred.

[0007] The Everybody Potty would be especially advantageous in hospital and other medically-related facilities, retirement homes, schools, and various other institutions.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

[0008] FIG. A1—Plan views of both the outside and inside of the toilet seat lid. View A-A being the outside of the toilet seat lid view A-B being the hollowed-out inside of the lid where the child seat sits into the storage when not in use.

[0009] FIG. A2—Plan views of both sides of the child seat and more importantly, an elevation 3/A2 which clearly shows the hinge design.

[0010] FIG. A3—Elevation 2/A3 shows the hold down pieces, (2) which bolt down the toilet seat to the toilet bowl. Elevation 4/A3 shows the retaining pin which holds the lid, child seat and adult size toilet seat together and in line at the hinge assembly located at the rear of the unit. This pin turns clockwise to install and counter clockwise to remove.

[0011] FIG. A4—Illustrates Plan Views of the adult toilet seat, and an elevation view is seen at the bottom. The underside has a slide-resistant pad molded onto the unit at the front where it contacts the toilet bowl.

DESCRIPTION

[0012] 1. The Everybody Potty relates to multiple toilet seat assemblies and provides the correct size seat for each individual from toilet training age through adulthood.

[0013] 2. The Everybody Potty helps relieve the lateral toilet seat movement making it a safer unit than conventional toilet seats.

[0014] 3. The Everybody Potty consists of a 2nd additional child seat which, when artfully decorated can be interchanged with the standard child seat. The child may then choose which child seat they prefer to use, therefore maintaining the child's interest for the duration of the toilet training period.

[0015] 4. The Everybody Potty allows for the removal of the child seat altogether if so desired, at the successful conclusion of toilet training, and/or when the child has outgrown the child seat and is able to safely use the adult seat.

[0016] 5. The Everybody Potty would allow for the acquiring of replacement of parts if necessary, sparing the consumer the cost of re-purchasing an entire toilet seat.

[0017] 6. The Everybody Potty provides the ability to sanitize the entire toilet seat assembly including beneath and in-between the hinge assembly due to its easy breakaway feature. This reduces the possibility of contact by the user with weeks or months of accumulated waste/bacteria build-up.

Claims

1. What I claim as my invention is a multiple toilet seat assembly which not only accommodates adults, children and candidates for toilet training, but also provides a second interchangeable and ornamental child seat.

2. What I claim as my invention is a multiple toilet seat assembly which helps relieve lateral toilet seat movement due to its hinge assembly design that stretches completely across the back of the toilet seat unit, providing rigidity.

3. What I claim as my invention is a multiple toilet seat assembly which helps relieve lateral toilet seat movement due to its slide-resistant pad molded onto the underside and at the front of the adult toilet seat (Fig. A4).

4. What I claim as my invention is a multiple toilet seat assembly in which the entire toilet seat assembly may be quickly and easily removed for cleaning by removing the main retaining pin located at the back of the toilet seat unit, which releases the child seat, adult seat and toilet seat lid.
