Simple exerciser

A simple exerciser including an arched bar body made of resilient material. Two ends of the bar body are respectively provided with two connecting sections respectively connecting with two handlebars. Two handles are disposed at two ends of each handlebar. When certain parts of a user's body exert a force onto the bar body through the handlebars or the handles, the bar body is bent in a predetermined direction to exert a resistant force against the user's body so as to achieve an exercising effect.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention is related to a simple exerciser having an arched bar body. Two ends of the bar body are respectively provided with two handlebars for a user's hands or other parts of the user's body to hold or lean thereon. When the user exerts a force onto the bar body, the bar body is bent in a predetermined direction to exert a resistant force against the user's body so as to achieve an exercising effect.

[0002] FIG. 7 shows a conventional exerciser having a seat 81. A resilient bar 82 is disposed on rear side of the seat 81. The bottom end of the resilient bar 82 is fixed on the seat 81, while the top end of the resilient bar 82 is fixed with a shoulder pad 84 and a handle 83.

[0003] In use, a user sits on the seat 81 with both hands holding the handle 83. The hands of the user exert a force onto the handle and the body of the user cooperatively bends down and looks up and swings left and right to bend the resilient bar 82. Accordingly, an exercising effect is provided for the user's body.

[0004] According to the above structure, only the arms and upper half of the user's body can be exercised, while the legs of the user can be hardly exercised. Moreover, the structure of such exerciser is complicated and is manufactured at high cost. In addition, the exerciser has considerably large volume and will occupy much room when stored.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide a simple exerciser including an arched bar body made of resilient material. Two ends of the bar body are respectively provided with two connecting sections respectively connecting with two handlebars. Two handles are disposed at two ends of each handlebar. When both hands or other parts of a user's body hold or lean against the handlebars or the handles and exert a force thereon, the bar body is bent in a predetermined direction to exert a resistant force against the user's body so as to achieve an exercising effect.

[0006] It is a further object of the present invention to provide the above simple exerciser in which the bar body is arched so that when subject to a force, the bar body is always bent toward a predetermined direction. Accordingly, the bar body will not be repeatedly stretched and bent and thus the structure of the bar body is protected from being damaged or broken.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0015] Please refer to FIGS. 1 and 2. The simple exerciser of the present invention has an arched bar body 1 made of resilient material. The bar body 1 is coated with a foam sponge layer 11. One side of the bar body 1 directed to the curvature center is defined an inner side 101, while the other side thereof is defined an outer side 102. Two ends of the bar body 1 are respectively provided with two connecting sections 2 respectively connecting with a first handlebar 3 and a second handlebar 4. Each connecting section 2 is formed with a slot 21 forming a hold section 22. Two handles 31 are disposed at two ends of the first handlebar 3. Two pads 41 made of foam sponge material are respectively disposed at two ends of the second handlebar 4.

[0016] In use, referring to FIG. 3, a user can lean the pads 41 of two ends of the second handlebar 4 on his/her thighs with the inner side 101 of the bar body 1 directed to the user. Both hands of the user hold the handles 31 of the first handlebar 3. When the user's hands forcedly downward pull the handles 31, the bar body 1 is bent toward the outer side 102. At this time, the bar body 1 exerts a resilient resistant force against the user so as to exercise both arms of the user. Similarly, the upper half body of the user can depress the bar body 1 so as to exercise the waist and abdomen of the user.

[0017] Referring to FIG. 4, alternatively, both hands of the user can hold the hold sections 22 of the connecting sections 2 with the inner side 101 of the bar body 1 facing the user. Both hands of the user oppositely exert a force onto the bar body 1 to bend the same toward the outer side 102. This can exercise the arms of the user.

[0018] Referring to FIG. 5, the user can lean the pads 41 of two ends of the second handlebar 4 on his/her abdomen with the inner side 101 of the bar body 1 facing the user's chest. Both hands of the user hold the handles 31 of the first handlebar 3. When the user's hands forcedly pull the handles 31 toward himself/herself, the bar body 1 is bent toward the outer side 102. At this time, the abdomen of the user exerts a force against the pads 41 and the bar body 1 exerts a resilient resistant force against the user so as to exercise both arms and the abdomen of the user.

[0019] Referring to FIG. 6, the user can transversely place the exerciser between his/her thighs with the thighs clamp one handle 31 and one pad 41. Both hands of the user respectively hold the other handle 31 and pad 41 with the inner side 101 of the bar body 1 facing the user. Both thighs of the user exert a clamping force onto the handles 31 and the pads 41 and the hands of the user help in bending the bar body 1 toward the outer side 102. Accordingly, the bar body 1 exerts a resilient resistant force against the user so as to train the muscles of inner sides of both thighs of the user.

[0020] The bar body 1 is arched so that when subject to a force, the bar body 1 is always bent toward the outer side 102. Accordingly, the inner and outer sides 101, 102 of the bar body 1 will not be repeatedly stretched and bent and thus the bar body 1 is protected from being damaged in structure caused by resilient failure of the material.

[0021] The present invention has simple structure and small volume as well as light weight for easy storage. In addition, the present invention is applicable to various parts of the user's body in accordance with different requirements for exercise.

[0022] The above embodiments are only used to illustrate the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Many modifications of the above embodiments can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

Claims

1. A simple exerciser comprising an arched bar body made of resilient material, two ends of the bar body being respectively provided with two connecting sections respectively connecting with two handlebars, two handles being disposed at two ends of each handlebar.

2. The simple exerciser as claimed in claim 1, wherein each connecting section has a hold section.

3. The simple exerciser as claimed in claim 2, wherein each connecting section is formed with a slot forming the hold section.

4. The simple exerciser as claimed in claim 1, wherein the bar body is coated with a foam sponge layer.

5. The simple exerciser as claimed in claim 1, wherein the handles of at least one of the handlebars are two pads made of foam sponge material.
