Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The invention relates to a domestic electric appliance, more particularly, to a portable vacuum cleaner with charging and discharging functions.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Recently, various portable vacuum cleaners have been developed and emerged in the market. Generally, these portable vacuum cleaners are used only for cleaning, and have no additional functions.

[0003] A “Potable Multiple-functional Vacuum Cleaner” is disclosed in Chinese Utility Model Patent No. 00 2 12924.8. In such a vacuum cleaner, a brush head can be provided at the entrance of the sucking tube of the cleaner to brush and suck the dust and fuzz attached on an article. In fact, such a structure of the vacuum cleaner can carry out adsorbing and cleaning out dust and contaminant only.

[0004] A “Vacuum Cleaner with function of sucking liquid” is disclosed in Chinese Utility Model Patent No. 99 2 55369.5. A tube is inserted into the dust deposit case at its front side to suck the liquid on the floor or table. Also, it can complete the cleaning function only.

[0005] Furthermore, in existing potable vacuum cleaners, a vent is generally provided at the rear portion of the side wall of the cleaner housing. The hot air discharged from the vent will continuously jet onto user's body when the user is in working with the cleaner carried on should or in hand, it is rather unbearable in hot summer days.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] In order to avoid above-mentioned disadvantages in prior art, the object of the present invention is to provide a portable vacuum cleaner with charging and discharging functions in addition to cleaning function.

[0007] To achieve the object of the invention, the potable vacuum cleaner of the invention comprises a housing being composed of front housing and rear housing, a electric fan, a dust deposit casing with a dust filter provided in the front housing, an air inlet formed at the head of the front housing, characterized in that a vent of the cleaner is provided at the rear end of the rear housing, and the size and profile of the air inlet and vent are matched with the interface of a connecting tube. Alternatively, the vent can be provided at a rear cover attached on the rear end of the rear housing. Furthermore, it is advantageous to form a grille at the rear end side to avoid a user to touch the electrical elements inside the housing. The air inside the housing can be discharged from the vent on the rear cover through the gaps on the grille.

[0008] The portable vacuum cleaner of the invention can be used as a common vacuum cleaner and as a pump. When a connecting tube is connected to the vent of the cleaner, it can be used for charging an air cushion bed, a pneumatic raft, and a large balloon etc. in a much shorter time then a common air-pump, and can be used for blowing off dust and impurities attached on an article. When a connecting tube is connected to the inlet of the cleaner, it can be used as a vacuum cleaner, and can be used for discharging an air cushion bed, a pneumatic raft, and a large balloon etc.

[0009] Furthermore, hot air exhausted from the vent is jetted toward rear direction of the cleaner due to the vent being provided at the rear end of the rear housing, so that hot air will not jet onto the body of the user.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0010] FIG. 1 is a view showing the structure of the invention;

[0011] FIG. 2 is a view taken from arrow A in FIG. 1;

[0012] FIG. 3 is a view showing another structure of the invention;

[0013] FIG. 4 is a view taken from arrow B in FIG. 2.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0014] FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 show a preferred embodiment of the invention. As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the housing of the portable vacuum cleaner is composed of a front housing 12 and a rear housing comprised of a left rear housing 4 and a right rear housing 5. A dust deposit casing 1 with a dust filter 2 is positioned in the front housing 12. An air inlet 13 is formed at the front end of the front housing 12, and the size and profile of the air inlet 13 is matched with that of the interface of a connecting tube. An electric fan 3 is installed in the rear housing, and the rear area of the chamber of the rear housing is formed as an air passage 6, which becomes narrower gradually from its front end toward rear end for speeding up the air flow. A vent 9 communicating with the air vent 6 is formed at the rear end of the rear housing. The size and profile of the vent 9 is matched with that of the interface of a connecting tube. A piece of filter 7 is provided inside the vent 9. In operation, when a connecting tube is connected with the vent 9, the portable vacuum cleaner can be used for charging an air cushion bed, a pneumatic raft, and a large balloon etc., or for blowing off dust and impurities attached on an article, and when a connecting tube is connected with the air inlet 13, the portable vacuum cleaner can be used as a common cleaner, and for discharging an air cushion bed, a pneumatic raft, and a large balloon etc.

[0015] FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 show another embodiment of the invention. A vent 9 of this embodiment of the invention is formed on a rear cover 8 connected integrally with the rear housing. A grille 11 is formed at the rear end of the rear housing, and serves as an obstacle for preventing a flash (such as a finger) from getting contact with the electric elements within the cleaner. A piece of filter 7 is provided between the rear cover 8 and the grille 11. A stud is attached at the center axis of the rear end of the rear housing, and a nut 10 is screwed down on the stud for locking the rear cover 8 onto the rear housing in axis direction. The filter 7 can be removed for cleaning and /or replacement, when the rear cover is removed. Other structures and applying method of this embodiment are the same as the previous embodiment, and the description of the same is omitted.
