A odor removal toilet seat that includes a lid, a seat, an evacuation piping assembly, and an odor removal fan and motor assembly; the lid and seat being hingedly connected together and secured to a toilet bowl; the seat having the hollow evacuation piping system formed therein including a number of vent openings that connect the evacuation piping system with the exterior of the bottom of the seat; the odor removal fan and motor assembly having an intake in connection with the evacuation piping system in a manner to create an airflow into the openings of the evacuation piping system through the evacuation piping and out past and through the odor removal fan and motor system into an area where the odors may be diluted or removed such as a filtering assembly or to the exterior of the building; the odor removal fan and motor assembly being activated by a pressure sensing switch positioned on the seat for detecting the weight of a user on the seat and an additional user positionable on/off switch for allowing a user to turn the odor removal fan and motor system on or off as desired.

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to bathroom accessories and more particularly to an odor removal toilet seat that includes a lid, a seat, an evacuation piping assembly, and an odor removal fan and motor assembly; the lid and seat being hingedly connected together and secured to a toilet bowl; the seat having the hollow evacuation piping system formed therein including a number of vent openings that connect the evacuation piping system with the exterior of the bottom of the seat; the odor removal fan and motor assembly having an intake in connection with the evacuation piping system in a manner to create an airflow into the openings of the evacuation piping system through the evacuation piping and out past and through the odor removal fan and motor system into an area where the odors may be diluted or removed such as a filtering assembly or to the exterior of the building; the odor removal fan and motor assembly being activated by a pressure sensing switch positioned on the seat for detecting the weight of a user on the seat and an additional user positionable on/off switch for allowing a user to turn the odor removal fan and motor system on or off as desired.

BACKGROUND ART

[0002] It is often desirable to remove the odors generated by a user of a toilet bowl. It would be desirable, therefore, to have a odor removing toilet seat system.

GENERAL SUMMARY DISCUSSION OF INVENTION

[0003] It is thus an object of the invention to provide an odor removal toilet seat that includes a lid, a seat, an evacuation piping assembly, and an odor removal fan and motor assembly; the lid and seat being hingedly connected together and secured to a toilet bowl; the seat having the hollow evacuation piping system formed therein including a number of vent openings that connect the evacuation piping system with the exterior of the bottom of the seat; the odor removal fan and motor assembly having an intake in connection with the evacuation piping system in a manner to create an airflow into the openings of the evacuation piping system through the evacuation piping and out past and through the odor removal fan and motor system into an area where the odors may be diluted or removed such as a filtering assembly or to the exterior of the building; the odor removal fan and motor assembly being activated by a pressure sensing switch positioned on the seat for detecting the weight of a user on the seat and an additional user positionable on/off switch for allowing a user to turn the odor removal fan and motor system on or off as desired.

[0004] Accordingly, an odor removal toilet seat is provided. The odor removal toilet seat includes a lid, a seat, an evacuation piping assembly, and an odor removal fan and motor assembly; the lid and seat being hingedly connected together and secured to a toilet bowl; the seat having the hollow evacuation piping system formed therein including a number of vent openings that connect the evacuation piping system with the exterior of the bottom of the seat; the odor removal fan and motor assembly having an intake in connection with the evacuation piping system in a manner to create an airflow into the openings of the evacuation piping system through the evacuation piping and out past and through the odor removal fan and motor system into an area where the odors may be diluted or removed such as a filtering assembly or to the exterior of the building; the odor removal fan and motor assembly being activated by a pressure sensing switch positioned on the seat for detecting the weight of a user on the seat and an additional user positionable on/off switch for allowing a user to turn the odor removal fan and motor system on or off as desired.

EXEMPLARY MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

[0012] FIGS. 1-6 show various aspects of an exemplary embodiment of the odor removal toilet seat of the present invention generally designated 10. Odor removal toilet seat 10 includes a lid, generally designated 12; a seat, generally designated 14; an evacuation piping assembly, generally designated 16; and an odor removal fan and motor assembly, generally designated 18.

[0013] Lid 12 and seat 14 are hingedly connected together along the back edges by a hinge 24 that is secured to a toilet bowl 26. Seat 14 has the hollow evacuation piping assembly 16 formed therein including a number of vent openings 28 that connect the evacuation piping system with the exterior of the bottom of the seat. Odor removal fan and motor assembly 18 has an intake 38 in connection with the evacuation piping system 16 in a manner to create an airflow into the openings 28 of the evacuation piping system 16 through the evacuation piping and out past and through the odor removal fan and motor system 18 and out an exhaust line 40 into an area where the odors may be diluted or removed such as a filtering assembly or to the exterior of the building. Odor removal fan and motor assembly may be activated by a pressure sensing switch 44 positioned on the bottom surface 46 seat 14 for detecting the weight of a user on seat 14 and an additional user positionable two-position on/off switch 50 for allowing a user to turn the odor removal fan and motor system 18 on or off as desired.

[0014] It can be seen from the preceding description that an odor removal toilet seat has been provided.

[0015] It is noted that the embodiment of the odor removal toilet seat described herein in detail for exemplary purposes is of course subject to many different variations in structure, design, application and methodology. Because many varying and different embodiments may be made within the scope of the inventive concept(s) herein taught, and because many modifications may be made in the embodiment herein detailed in accordance with the descriptive requirements of the law, it is to be understood that the details herein are to be interpreted as illustrative and not in a limiting sense.

Claims

1) An odor removal toilet seat comprising:

a lid;
a seat;
an evacuation piping assembly; and
an odor removal fan and motor assembly;
the lid and seat being hingedly connected together and secured to a toilet bowl;
the seat having the hollow evacuation piping system formed therein including a number of vent openings that connect the evacuation piping system with the exterior of the bottom of the seat;
the odor removal fan and motor assembly having an intake in connection with the evacuation piping system in a manner to create an airflow into the openings of the evacuation piping system through the evacuation piping and out past and through the odor removal fan and motor system into an area where the odors may be diluted or removed such as a filtering assembly or to the exterior of the building;
the odor removal fan and motor assembly being activated by a pressure sensing switch positioned on the seat for detecting the weight of a user on the seat and an additional user positionable on/off switch for allowing a user to turn the odor removal fan and motor system on or off as desired.
