Flat display case that can serve as a seat member
A flat display case that can serve as a seat member includes a lower seat and an upper cover having similar shapes, each of which has a bottom wall, a relatively low front wall, a relatively high rear wall, and two side walls connecting the front and rear walls. Outer walls of the bottom walls of the upper cover and the lower seat are provided with inter-connectable stacking members such that, when the upper cover is disposed on top of the lower seat in an opposite direction, a rectangular case is formed. When the upper cover and the lower seat are disposed back-to-back and oriented in the same direction, projecting posts can engage post holes to enable a display disposed therein to have an inclination.
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a flat display case, more particularly to a flat display case that can be used as a seat member for the display.
[0003] 2. Description of Related Art
[0004] Flat displays are generally employed in information and communications, as well as recreational entertainment, to display images.
[0005] Flat displays are convenient since they are designed to be separated from processing units of personal computers or receiving apparatuses so that they can adapt to different environments and since they are portable and compact. Traveling has become more frequent with the progress of commerce. How to use a flat display conveniently while traveling in a vehicle is a subject that needs to study.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION[0006] Therefore, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a flat display case that can serve as a seat member for the display.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS[0007] The foregoing and other features and advantages of the present invention will be more clearly understood from the following detailed description and the accompanying drawings, in which,
[0008] FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of the present invention;
[0009] FIG. 2 is a schematic view of a lower seat according to the present invention after placement of a display therein;
[0010] FIG. 3 is a schematic view illustrating the case of the present invention in a closed state to facilitate carrying; and
[0011] FIG. 4 is a schematic view showing the case of the present invention in a state that serves as a seat member for the display.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS[0012] As shown in the drawings, a case according to the present invention includes a lower seat 1 and an upper cover 2.
[0013] The lower seat 1 is a frame that has a bottom wall 11, a lower front wall 12 which is relatively low, and a lower rear wall 13 which is relatively high and which is opposite to the lower front wall 12, and two lower side walls 14 having two sides connected to the lower front wall 12 and the lower rear wall 13, and an inclined upper end face. In order to be connected to the upper cover 2, the edge portions of the case can be provided with lower connecting members 15, which are holes and hooks in this embodiment and are not limited thereto. In addition, in order to enable connection with the upper cover 2, the bottom wall 11 can be provided with lower stacking members 16, which can be outwardly projecting posts and sunken recesses that are disposed in a staggered arrangement. That is, if the bottom side of the lower seat 1 is provided with lower projecting posts 161 and sunken recesses to form, when viewed from the bottom side, lower post holes 162. In this embodiment, there are one lower projecting post 161 and a lower post hole 162 in each row, and the lower projecting posts 161 and lower post holes 162 in each column are staggered. In addition, the external and inner diameters of cross sections of the projecting posts 161 and the lower post holes 162 match. Furthermore, in order that the case can be carried using a strap, lower strap holes 17 can be provided for passage of the strap.
[0014] The upper cover 2 is also in the form of a frame and, like the lower seat 1, includes a top wall 21, an upper front wall 22 which is relatively low, an upper rear wall 23 which is relatively high, and two upper side walls 24 that connect the upper front wall 22 and the upper rear wall 23. The upper cover 2 also has edge portions that are provided with upper connecting members 25 for connection to the lower connecting members 15. The upper connecting members 25 can be holes or hooks. In addition, similar to the bottom wall 11, the top wall 21 is provided with upper projecting posts 261 and upper post holes 262 in a staggered arrangement. As a matter of fact, during production, the upper cover 2 and the lower seat 1 can have the same design, i.e., the same can be injection-molded using a single mold. In addition, the upper side walls can be formed with upper strap holes 27.
[0015] With reference FIG. 3, in actual practice, a flat display device can be accommodated in the lower seat 1, and the upper cover 2 is put in place. Since the upper cover 2 and the lower seat 1 are configured to match each other, they form a rectangular case after the upper cover 2 is put in place. Bands can be used to tie the case, and a strap can be provided.
[0016] Referring to FIG. 4, when it is desired to use the display, the lower seat 2 and the upper cover 1 are disposed to be opposite to each other such that the lower projecting posts 161 engage the upper post holes 262 and the upper projecting posts 261 engage the lower post holes 162 to thereby connect the lower seat 2 and the upper cover 1, with the lower rear wall 13 and the upper rear wall 23, which have a greater height or thickness in this case, oriented downwardly so that the display can be received in the lower seat 1. In this way, the display is inclined downwardly and outwardly to provide a preferred viewing angle. As shown in FIG. 4, when the case is fastened to a front seat in a car and the inclination of the front seat is adjusted so that the viewing angle is not satisfactory, the straps can be used to tie to the seat.
[0017] It can be appreciated that the case can be used to receive a flat display device to facilitate storage and carrying and to enable viewing of images displayed on the display device at a preferred angle. At the same time, since the upper cover and the lower seat are frames of the same configuration, mold costs and processing costs can be reduced.
[0018] Although the present invention has been illustrated and described with reference to the preferred embodiment thereof, it should be understood that it is in no way limited to the details of such embodiment but is capable of numerous modifications within the scope of the appended claims.
