Abstract

A sexual intercourse chair is fabricated from bent steel tubing, channeled metal, compression springs, and two uniquely shaped upholstered foam seats (primary and sedentary). The frame is designed for strength and functionality and powder-coated for beauty and durability, and should support approximately five hundred pounds. The primary seat is mounted in plural compression springs and has a back that can incline so that it can accommodate either prone, supine, or sideline positions. The specially designed springs mount the adjustable seat to the metal frame such that the seat can achieve motion in both horizontal and vertical directions. The assisted motion produced by the springs enhances the movement efforts of the participants. The secondary seat provides a comfortable option for a variety of sexual positions.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The present invention generally relates to support structures. More specifically the present invention is drawn to a chair adapted to facilitate and enhance sexual expression and fulfillment.

[0004] 2. DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART

[0005] The act of copulation for procreation is a natural driving force in all forms of animal life. The human animal also participates in sexual intercourse for pleasure. This sexual participation very commonly occurs in the conventional bed.

[0006] The characteristics of the conventional bed are such that the range and variety of positions that a couple may comfortably attain when performing the sexual act is restricted. The restrictions consequently function to decrease the pleasure of the sexual act.

[0007] Many apparatus have been devised to minimize the discomfort and restrictions posed by the bed. One example is disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 6,030,039 (Essler) which shows a chair supporting a person during sexual activity. The chair comprises a single, un-padded toilet seat spring-mounted on a rigid frame. No provisions is made to include footrest or a second seat.

[0008] U.S. Pat. No. 5,875,779 (Furman et al.) shows an arcuately reciprocating sexual fitness machine having male and female seats. The machine relies on elastic bands or cords to counterbalance the seats. The machine does not include footrests.

[0009] U.S. Pat. Nos. 3,711,152 (Sirpak et al.),. 3,971,592 (Farley), 4,571,761 (Perlin), 5,443,532 (Hudak) and 5,538,011 (Craft et al.) all show support structures sadapted to aid conjugal relations. None of the structures incorporate plural seats or footrests.

[0010] U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,940,286 (Nguti), 5,294,176 (Asinovsky) and 6,135,552 (Waguri) disclose support structures suitable for use copulatively by handicapped individuals. The patentees do not contemplate providing spring-biased seats or footrests.

[0011] Obstetric chairs are exemplified in U.S. Pat. Nos. 3,813,091 (Metzger), 3,845,945 (Lawley et al.), 4,221,370 (Redwine) and 4,541,622 (Tabuchi). All of the instant chairs require firm support and do not contemplate spring-biased or plural seats.

[0012] U.S. Pat. No. 3,890,004 (Rail) shows an upholstered support structure adapted to support a person in a meditating position. The structure requires no plural or spring-biased seats.

[0013] None of the above inventions and patents, taken either singly or in combination, is seen to disclose the instant invention as will subsequently be described and claimed.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The instant invention, currently unnamed, is composed of bent steel tubing, compression springs, channeled steel supports and two unique upholstered foam seats (primary and secondary). The frame configuration is designed for strength, beauty and functionality and should support approximately five hundred pounds (more than the weight of two averages-sized adults). The gentle curves of the tubing provide an aesthetically pleasing appearance much like modern art.

[0015] The two seats are fabricated from plywood and foam material and are upholstered with vinyl, leather or other fabric materials, which make for durable, comfortable and low maintenance seating.

[0016] The primary seat is mounted on plural compression springs and can accommodate either prone, supine or sideline positions. It can achieve motion in both horizontal and vertical directions. The assisted motion produced by the springs enhances the movement effort of the participants. The primary seat also is adjustable in such a way that the back can be elevated to produce an incline that can provide a comfortable backrest for certain sexual positions.

[0017] The secondary seat provides a comfortable option for a variety of sexual positions as well, specifically when one participant is positioned at a lower elevation than the other.

[0018] A roll bar allows each participant to achieve a handgrip to assist in whatever motion is produced by the spring-mounted primary seat. It is attached to the legs and offers a stable structure for the participants to push or pull against as needed.

[0019] The footrests are patterned after the footrests on medical examination tables and offer leg support for the participant in the supine position. They are adjustable to accommodate participants of different heights and leg lengths.

[0020] The cross-members are made of channeled steel and serve as both structural supports and as a footrest for more upright positions. Rubberized skid pads are also used to help prevent participants for slipping. The three cross-members range in length from XX to XX.

[0021] Accordingly, it is a principal object of the invention to provide a sexual intercourse chair, which chair will facilitate and enhance sexual fulfillment.

[0022] It is another object of the invention to provide a sexual intercourse chair, which chair allows participants to attain a variety of sexual positions.

[0023] It is a further object of the invention to provide a sexual intercourse chair, which includes primary and secondary seats, which are comfortable and durable.

[0024] Still another object of the invention to provide a sexual intercourse chair, which chair incorporates spring-mounted primary seat having both horizontal and vertical motion, and seat also adjusts for support of different positions.

[0025] It is an object of the invention to provide improved elements and arrangements thereof in an apparatus for the purposes described which are inexpensive, dependable, aesthetically pleasing and fully effective in accomplishing their intended purposes.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0030] Attention is directed to FIGS. 1-3 wherein the sexual intercourse chair is generally indicated at 10. The chair comprises two uniquely shaped leg members 12 having foot portions 12a, which foot portions are adapted to rest on a level surface such as a floor. Leg members 12 are spaced apart a distance of approximately four feet at the forward end, and approximately 26′ at the rear end. The horizontal distance defined between foot portions 12a on each respective leg member is approximately 53′. The vertical distance from the level-resting surface to the highest point of each leg member 12 is approximately 47′. Each leg member has a horizontal support for mounting the cross-members 16, 18 and 20.

[0031] There are three cross-members, which may be attached in any efficient and convenient manner to the horizontal support on the leg member 12. The first cross-member 16, is approximately 42 inches long and located approximately 16′ from the front foot portions. The first cross-member 16 has two of the five compression springs 28 secured to it when fully assembled. The second cross-member 18, is approximately 37 inches long and located 12-½ inches behind the first cross member 16. The second cross-member has one if the 5 compression springs 28 attached to it when fully assembled. The third cross-member 20, is closest to the rear end, and is approximately 30-½ inches long. It is located 17 inches behind the second cross member 18. The third cross-member serves as the attachment point for two of the five compression springs 14.

[0032] The rollbar 28, is an arched section of tubular metal designed to serve as a hand hold, or structure to mount accessories such as restraints for use in conjunction with the sexual intercourse chair. It may be attached in any efficient and convenient manner to the leg members.

[0033] The two footrests 24 are present to assist in achieving or sustaining various positions. Most commonly, a participant may place his/her legs or feet on the footrests. They are adjustable for legs of varied lengths. They are composed of both tubular and channeled metal.

[0034] An adjustable primary seat 26a and 26b, made of wood, foam and upholstery is intended as the main platform of activity. The top portion 26a is can be inclined for a greater variety of positions, and for comfort and support. The bottom portion 26b stays level. The primary seat is mounted to the plurality of compression springs, and therefore allows motion in all directions

[0035] The secondary seat 22 is composed of wood, foam and upholstery as well, and is intended for use in positions where one participant must be at a lower level relative to his/her partner. It can also be used as a means to elevate a partner should additional height be desired.

[0036] Compression springs 14 are approximately 2′ diameter, wound to accommodate a ⅝′ bolt. These are mounted to the frame and the primary seat that assists the participants in achieving multi-directional motion.

[0037] All tubular components are fabricated from 1-¼, 11-gauge metal tubing for strength and functionality. All channeled members are fabricated from ⅛′ metal, also for strength and stability. All metal frame components are powder-coated for beauty and durability. All metal members may be attached in any efficient and convenient manner (welds, bolts, snap-pins, etc.).

[0038] As stated above, the sexual intercourse chair with its spring assisted motion and primary/secondary-seating arrangement will allow participants to assume a wide variety of sexual positions. Even individuals with limited strength and/or mobility will benefit from the use of the instant invention. For example, the chair of the instant invention does not require that the participant in the supine position bear the full weight of the participant in the superior position and the compression spring-mounted seat will ensure that movement is achieved with minimal input of energy from the participants. Other attainable positions are limited only by the imagination of the participants.

[0039] It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the sole embodiment described above, but encompasses any and all embodiments within the scope of the following claims:

Claims

1. A chair for supporting participants during sexual intercourse said chair comprising:

a frame structure fabricated from tubular and channeled metal;

a primary seat, said primary seat being adjustable and positioned on said metal structure;

a second seat, said secondary seat positioned separately vertically below and horizontally spaced from said primary seat;

a plurality of vertically mounted compression springs, said compression springs mounted on said metal structure and supporting said primary seat thereon.

2. A chair as recited in claim 1, wherein said metal structure includes a pair of tubular, spaced apart leg members, channeled metal cross-members, tubular rollbar and adjustable footrests.
