Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a displaying device, more particularly to a dustproof cover of the connector slot on a displaying device.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] In recent years, the high-tech industry has been making progress in many areas, and the development of displaying devices is also in a fast growing phase. To satisfy all kinds of company needs, the research and development of products tends to have more add-on functions, therefore many connector slots are reserved on the body of the displaying device. Particularly, attaining the face-to-face teleconferencing effect needs to install a camera on the displaying device, and a connector slot is disposed on a predetermined position on the top of the displaying device in order to facilitate the connection of the camera. However, a computer system generally does not come with a camera, and the user needs to buy it as an option, or has to remove and install the camera anytime when the location of the meeting is changed. To prevent the connector inside the connector slot from being contaminated by dust or jammed by miscellaneous articles that will affect the connection of the camera, and keep the overall appearance neat and artistic, the prior-art displaying device uses a dustproof cover to cover the connector slot.

[0005] Refer to FIG. 1 for the dustproof cover used in the prior-art connector slot. A connector slot 101 is disposed at the rear casing 10 of the displaying device which is close to the camera (not shown in the figure); a screw hole 102 is disposed on both ends of the connector slot 101 having a groove hole 103 at the center, with a substantially U-shaped fixing bracket 12 is fixed to the lower periphery of the groove hole 103, and a fixing hole 122 is disposed under the groove hole 103 aligning at the U-shaped fixing bracket 12. The connector 13 is inverted upward and passes through the fixing hole 122, and the flange of the connector 13 is fixed to the lower periphery of the fixing hole 122 by a screw 131. Further, a dustproof cover 11 having a cover body 111 in the corresponding shape of the connector slot 101, and a through hole 112 is disposed at the corresponding screw hole 102 on both sides of the cover body 111, and two screw bolts 113 are passed through the two through holes 112 and secured into the screw hole 102 in order to fix the dustproof cover 11 into the connector slot 101 and cover the slot 103 above the connector 13 for the dustproof effect.

[0006] When the dustproof cover 11 is in use, a screwdriver 14 is used to loosen the screw bolt 113, remove the dustproof cover 11, and then pass the cable (not shown in the figure) of the camera into the groove hole 103 to connect the connector 13. When the dustproof cover is not in use, the sequence will be reversed; removing the cable of the camera, use a screwdriver 14 to fix the dustproof cover 11. However, when the aforementioned prior-art dustproof cover 11 is in use, a screwdriver is required to install or remove the dustproof cover, and it is easy to lose the screw bolt, such that the dustproof cover sinks into the connector slot 101 and its surface levels with the surface of the rear casing. It is not easy to take the dustproof cover out, and thus inconvenient to use.

[0007] FIG. 2 shows another prior-art dustproof cover of connector slot which has a groove hole 201 on the rear casing 20 of the displaying device close to the position of the installed camera (not shown in the figure); a bolt hole 202 on each side of the groove hole 201, and a connector 23 is inverted upward and fixed by a substantial U-shaped bracket 22 as disclosed in the prior art. Please refer to the FIG. 1 for the detailed structure. Since it is not related to the characteristics of the present invention, it will not be describe here. Further, there is a dustproof cover 21, and its cover body 211 has a through hole 212 corresponsive to the bolt hole 202 at both ends of the cover body 211. Two plastic buckles 22 in tapered conical shape pass through the through hole 212 and the bolt hole 202, fix the dustproof cover 21 onto the rear casing 20, and cover the groove hole 201 attaining the anti-dust purpose. When such prior-art dustproof cover is in use, although the screwdriver is not required, sometimes it is not easy to remove the hemispherical head of the plastic buckle from the tight pressing on the surface of the dustproof cover by the fingers. It may need to use a thin plate to hook the plastic buckle, which is definitely a shortcoming on its use. After the plastic buckle has been installed and uninstalled for many times, the plastic buckle is not only damaged easily, but also will be lost very easily. In the meantime, the protrusion of the dustproof cover from the surface of the rear casing of the displaying device makes the overall appearance poor looking.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0018] Referring to the associated drawings, the embodiments of the present invention are now discussed in detail.

[0019] In FIG. 3, the dustproof cover 31 of a connector slot mainly comprises a connector slot 301 at a rear casing 30 of the displaying device; a connector 33 fixed on the fixing bracket 32 below the connector slot 301, and the dustproof cover 31 covers the connector slot 301.

[0020] Wherein the connector slot 301 is disposed downward on the rear casing 30 of the displaying device close to the installation position of the camera (not shown in the figure); a through hole 303 is disposed on both ends of the connector slot 301, having a groove hole 302 at the center; a U-shaped fixing bracket 32 is fixed to both ends of the lateral periphery under the groove hole 302 by screws 321, and the U-shape fixing bracket 32 aligns at a fixing hole 322 under the groove hole 302, and the connector 33 with its socket facing upward and passing through the fixing hole 322 in the inverted position, and the flange of the connector 33 is fixed to the lower periphery of the fixing hole 322 by screws 331.

[0021] The dustproof cover 31 of the present invention as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 comprises a cover body 316 with the shape corresponding to the shape of the connector slot 301 for the engagement, and an elasticbuckle311 is disposed on the through hole 303 at both ends of the corresponding connector slot 301, and the elasticbuckle311 is in the shape of a sheet and is perpendicular to the surface of the cover body 316 of the dustproof cover 31, and being protruded from the upper and lower surfaces of the cover body 316; a skidproof flange 312 is protruded towards the outer periphery of the dustproof cover 31 at the upper end of the elastic buckle 311. The appropriate height protruded from the cover body 316 allows the user to hook by fingers. A fixing hook 313 is disposed in the direction from the lower end of the elasticbuckle311 to the center of the cover body 316, and its lower end is protruded from the lower surface of the dustproof cover 31 such that the fixing hook 313 hooks to the lower outer periphery of the through hole 303 of the connector slot 301 and fixes the dustproof cover 31 into the connector slot 301, and covers the groove hole 302 of the connector slot 301.

[0022] Further, please refer to FIGS. 4 and 5. To integrate each part of the dustproof cover 31 into a single component, the cover body 316 of the dustproof cover 31 has an outer hole 314 at the front side of the elasticbuckle311 and an inner hole 315 at the rear side, such that the skidproof flange 312 of the elasticbuckle311 and the fixing hook 313 can be removed from the mold in the integral formation, and also integrally connects the elasticbuckle311 by the middle section of both sides and the cover body 316. In the meantime, when the elasticbuckle311 is pressed, the fixing hook 313 can be moved easily to facilitate the installation and disassembling. There is no inner hole 314 or outer hole 315 in the design, but it needs larger force to let the cover body 316 deform in this case, such that the fixing hook 313 of the elasticbuckle311 can move and attain the purpose of installation and disassembling.

[0023] When the dustproof cover 31 of the present invention is in use, the user just needs to use two fingers to separately hook the top of two elastic buckles 311 of the dustproof cover 31, and the fingers will not slip away easily due to the skidproof flange 312. The upper ends of the two elastic buckles 311 are pushed towards the center of the dustproof cover 31 such that the lower end of the fixing hook 313 is separated from the periphery of the through hole 303 and moved out from the through hole 303 and let the dustproof cover 31 move away from the connector slot 301 on the rear casing 30 of the displaying device, and pass the cable of the camera (not shown in the figure) through the groove hole 302 of the connector slot 301 and insert into the connector 33 to complete the signal connection. When the connector 33 is not in use, it needs to prevent the dust or miscellaneous articles from falling into the connector slot 301 and contaminating or jamming the socket of the connector 33 that will affect the next connection by reversing the sequence of the aforementioned connection sequence. The connector 33 is removed from the camera cable, and then fingers are used to press the upper end of the two elastic buckles 311 of the dustproof cover 31 toward the center of the dustproof cover 31, and the lower end of the fixing hook 313 moves outward and passes through the through hole 303. It lets the fixing hook 313 to hook into the periphery of the through hole 303 such that the dustproof cover 31 can be fixed to the connector slot 301 on the rear casing 30 of the displaying device, and makes the installation and disassembling easier.

[0024] From the description of the aforementioned embodiment, the dustproof cover of the connector slot of the present invention has a skidproof flange and an elastic buckle protruded from the surface so that the user's finger can hold and press it easily without the need of using tools for the installation and disassembling. The structure is not only an integral one that can reduce the cost, but also can prevent the disassembled parts from being lost. Such arrangement can overcome the shortcomings of the prior art device and attain all objectives and functions of the present invention.
