Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a step climber that has a height adjustable post and a seat is connected to the upper section of the post.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] A conventional step climber is a popular exercising device and generally includes a post with a base connected to a lower end thereof and a handle is connected to a top end of the post. Two pedals are pivotally connected to the post so that a user may stand on the two pedals and hold the handle with his/her hands. This is the only way to use the conventional step climber and certain parts of muscles are exercised by using the step climber. In the new trend of design of the exercising devices, more than one purpose is required and the height of the exercising device is also required to be adjustable so that different users can use the exercising device.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a step climber which comprises a base and a post composed of a first section and a second section extends from the base. The second section is retractably received in a top end of the first section and a handle is connected to the second section. A seat is connected to the handle. Two pedals are pivotally connected to an upright section on the base.

[0004] The primary object of the present invention is to provide a step climber that has a seat connected to the handle which can be rotated about the post so that the user may sit on the set to operate the pedals or stand on the pedals as the conventional way.

[0005] The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0006] FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show the step climber of the present invention;

[0007] FIG. 2 is a perspective view to show the step climber of the present invention wherein the post is retracted;

[0008] FIG. 3 is a perspective view to show the step climber of the present invention wherein the seat and the handle are rotated toward outward;

[0009] FIG. 4 is a side view to show the step climber of the present invention as shown in FIG. 2;

[0010] FIG. 5 is a side view to show the step climber of the present invention wherein the user sits on the seat, and

[0011] FIG. 6 is a side view to show the step climber of the present invention wherein the user operates the step climber as a conventional way.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0012] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the step climber of the present invention comprises a base 10 and a post 1 extending from the base 10. Two pedals 11 are pivotally connected to an upright section on the base 10. The post 1 is composed of a first section 20 and a second section 20 which is retractably received in a top end of the first section 20. The first section 20 has a threaded section and the upright section of the base 10 has a threaded hole which receives the threaded section of the first section 20. A handle 50 is rotatably connected to the second section 30 and a seat 40 is connected to the handle 50. A bolt 21 extends through the first section 20 and contacts the second section 30 in the first section 20 so as to fix the second section 30. A display member 60 is received in the seat 40 and a cable 61 extends from the display member 60 and is connected to the base 10 so as to show the information of the use.

[0013] As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, when the length of the post 1 is shortened, the user may sit on the seat 40 and operate the two pedals 11 with his/her two hands holding the handle 50. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 6, when the handle 50 and the seat 40 are rotated toward outward as shown, the post 1 is expanded and the step climber is used as a conventional way as shown.

[0014] While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
