Blowing device for removing wooden powder

A blowing device includes a casing having an circular wall located eccentrically in the casing. A rotor is rotatably received in the circular wall and a plurality of blades retractably extend from the rotor and contact an inner periphery of the circular wall. A first inlet is defined through the casing and an outlet is defined through the circular wall. A second inlet is defined through the circular wall. A fitting extends through the casing and is engaged with the outlet. When the rotor is rotated in the circular wall, a plurality of partitions are defined by the blades in the circular wall and is sent out from the fitting to blow the wood powder or debris.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a blowing device that has a circular eccentric wall and a rotor is rotatably received therein. A plurality of retractable blades extend from the rotor and contact the inner side of the eccentric wall so as to suck air from outside and blow air through the device.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] A conventional blowing device cooperated with cutting tool generally includes a bladder which can be deformed or pressed by a proper device which is connected with the cutting tool. The bladder can be filled with air when the cutting tool performs a first stroke and flatted when the cutting tool moves a second stroke. An opening or a hose is connected to the bladder so that the air can be pushed out from the bladder when the bladder is flatted so as to remove the debris or wood powder generated from the cutting process. Nevertheless, the bladder is inflated and flatted frequently when the cutting tool is operated and the material reaches its critical point quickly and will be broken soon. Besides, the volume of the air blown out from the bladder cannot be consistent and the unstable blowing cannot meet the needs of the users.

[0003] The present invention intends to provide a blowing device that provides constant air blow.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a blowing device which comprises a casing having an circular wall which is located eccentrically in the casing with ribs connected between an inner periphery of the casing and the circular wall. A rotor driven by a motor is rotatably received in the circular wall and a plurality of blades retractably extend from the rotor and contact an inner periphery of the circular wall. A first inlet is defined through the casing and a second inlet is defined through the circular wall. The air is sucked from the two inlets and lows out from an outlet defined through the circular wall.

[0005] The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0009] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the blowing device of the present invention comprises a casing 20 which is connected to a motor 10 and the shaft 11 of the motor 10 extends through a hole 241 defined through an end 24 of the casing 20. A circular wall 22 is located eccentrically in the casing 20 with ribs 23 connected between an inner periphery of the casing 20 and the circular wall 22. A first inlet 211 is defined through the casing 20 and connected to an inlet assembly 50 which includes an inlet valve 51 in which an air filter 52 is received. The inlet valve 51 has an inlet 511 for allowing air entering in the inlet valve 51.

[0010] An outlet 261 defined through the circular wall 22 and an outlet assembly 60 is engaged with the casing 20. The outlet assembly 60 includes a fitting 61 which extends through the casing 20 and is engaged with the outlet 261 by a tube 26. A hose 62 is connected to the fitting 61.

[0011] A rotor 30 is rotatably received in the circular wall 22 and has a ring 31 which is connected to the inner periphery of the circular wall 22 by connection members. Each connection member has a chamber 33 defied therein and a blade 34 has one end thereof retractably received in the chamber 33 and the other end of each of the blades 34 contacts the inner periphery of the circular wall 22. A second inlet 221 is defined through the circular wall 22. A driving shaft 32 is connected to the shaft 11 of the motor 10 and engaged with the ring 31 such that when the shaft 11 of the motor 10 rotates, the rotor 30 rotates. An end plate 40 seals the casing 20.

[0012] As shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, when the rotor 30 rotates, the blades 34 brush the inner periphery of the circular wall 22 and defined several partitions. Air enters into one of the partitions via the two inlets 211, 221 and when the blade 34 pushes the air over the second inlet 221, the air in this partition is compressed and sent out in a form of powerful air flow via the fitting 61 and the user may set the hose 62 to blow the wood debris away efficiently. In this embodiment, there are three consecutive partitions so that when the rotor 30 continues to rotate, the air in the three partitions are compressed and blows out continuously. When one blade 34 moves over the second inlet 221, the following partition sucks the air in because the partition is at a low pressure and this ensures that air can be sucked efficiently.

[0013] While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.

Claims

1. A blowing device comprising:

a casing having an circular wall which is located eccentrically in the casing with ribs connected between an inner periphery of the casing and the circular wall, a first inlet defined through the casing and an outlet defined through the circular wall, a fitting extending through the casing and engaged with the outlet, and
a rotor rotatably received in the circular wall and a plurality of blades retractably extending from the rotor and contacting an inner periphery of the circular wall, a second inlet defined through the circular wall.

2. The blowing device as claimed in claim 1 further comprising an inlet valve engaged with the first inlet and an air filter received in the inlet valve.

3. The blowing device as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a hose connected to the fitting.

4. The blowing device as claimed in claim 1 wherein the circular wall 22 has a ring 31 which is connected to the inner periphery of the circular wall 2 by connection members, each connection member has a chamber 33 defined therein and the blades 34 having an end thereof retractably received in the chambers 33.
