Identification system for a tool

An identification system for tools such as sockets includes an electro-plating section and a dyeing section respectively defined in an outer surface of the tools. The arrangement of the electro-plating section and the dyeing section can be various fashions so as to present different meanings to the users.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to an identification system for a socket and includes a colored section and a coating section on the outer surface of the socket so that the users may identify the socket at the first sight.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] The conventional sockets include two types one of which is used with manual tool such as wrenches and the other type is used with electric tool such as electric driver. In order to let the users to distinguish the different types of the sockets, manufacturers mark words or patterns on the outer surface of the sockets such that the users may check the words or patterns on the sockets to pick the correct ones. However, more and more classifications are developed in various kinds of goods such as spark plugs, bolts or wrenches. This confuses the users and reduces the functions that were originally expected.

[0003] The present invention intends to provide an identification system for sockets or bits and includes at least two sections with different colors or strips so as to make the users to pick the correct ones within a short period of time.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided an identification system for tools and the identification system comprises at least two sections with different colors on an outer surface of the tools. The at least two sections includes an electro-plating section and a dyeing section

[0005] The primary object of the present invention is to provide an identification system for tools wherein the dyeing section and the electro-plating section have different colors and are arranged to be specific patterns so as to be easily identified.

[0006] The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0009] Referring to FIG. 1, the identification system for tools such as sockets 1 of the present invention comprises at least two sections with different colors on an outer surface of the socket 1. The at least two sections includes an electro-plating section 2 and a dyeing section 3. The dyeing section 2 is made to be black in color and the electro-plating section 2 is silver in color. The two sections 2 and 3 provide the users an easy way to distinguish the types of the sockets 1.

[0010] The arrangement of the electro-plating section 2 and the dyeing section 3 can be designed to have specific meanings. As shown in FIG. 2, the dyeing section 3 includes dyeing strips and blank strips. The dyeing strips and the blank strips may be arranged to be longitudinal or horizontal. A pre-set definition is made corresponding to the arrangement of the positions of the electro-plating section 2 and the dyeing section 3 so that the users are able to tell the types and/or sizes of the sockets by the positions of the electro-plating section 2 and the dyeing section 3.

[0011] While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.

Claims

1. An identification system for tools, comprising:

at least two sections with different colors on an outer surface of the tools, the at least two sections including an electro-plating section and a dyeing section.

2. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the dyeing section includes dyeing strips and blank strips.
