Extreme duty commercial/industrial strength space saving variable size wall mounted welded solid steel tool rack/display

This is a tool rack/display which is suitable for industrial, commercial, or homeowner use. It is all welded, solid steel, extremely strong, versatile and safety concious. It is simple in design which allows for ease of production. It conserves space while creating a cleaner, safer, and more organized work area. Mounting is fast and simple on any 16″O.C. stud, cinder block or solid wall. Being that it is wall mounted means more floor space and less obstacles. Not only does this rack save on space, it saves time, money, and potential accidents as well.

Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

[0001] This tool rack/display was born out of different skills, knowledge, and techniques which I had learned throughout my years of employment as either a mechanic, draftsman, welder, or landscaper. I needed a way to organize and “clean up” but was unable to find anything on the market. It was then that I decided to make my own.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF INVENTION

[0002] This solid steel tool rack/display is extremely strong and saves a lot of wall and floor space, creating a much cleaner, safer and more organized work environment. It is wall mounted and holds many tools in an orderly fashion.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF DRAWINGS

[0003] Due to the simplicity of the design, I felt that only one page was necessary. It is the same as the one approved for the provisional patent No. 60/395,238. Only two changes have been made. I added the 16″O.C. dimensions, and instead of having two different diameters of steel, I switched to a consistent square stock which made it stronger and made production even easier.

[0004] Both front and side views are shown which reveal the aspects of it's construction. It has opposing 90° angles with 135° turn down angles on either end. Hole locations of the mounting plates are 16″O.C. allowing this rack to be mounted on stud, cinder block, or solid walls. “U”shaped brackets welded to the frame hold tools securely in place

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0005] This is an extremely heavy duty, solid steel,mig-welded tool rack/display to be used in the place of business or by the homeowner. It is of variable size with the “standard” size holding approximately twenty-eight to thirty-five lawn, garden, and construction tools using a minimal amount of wall space in a most orderly and safe fashion. Size is varied simply by changing the number of 90° bends during production. This rack or display is very functional, space conservative, safety concious, and exceptionally strong. Using the mounting plates located and welded 16″O.C. at the top of each angle of the frame, it can be mounted or fixed to almost any type of wall; stud, cinder block, solid etc. The main frame is bent at precise measurements for proper mounting plate alignment which is crucial in many applications. These bends are opposing 90° angles with 135° angles on each end. It is made of heavy gauge solid steel with mounting plates made from thick steel bushings. The “u”shaped brackets are also made of solid steel the same gauge as the frame. The “u”shaped design allows for tools to be hung on the inside, around or, on top of it. These are welded inside the angles of the frame with the open ends positioned higher than the closed, preventing tools from sliding off. The staggered height obtained by the opposing 90° bends allows for maximum usage of wall space in the smallest area possible while making it more stable as well.

[0006] Some types of tools to be held on this rack are both “hard” garden and leaf rakes, spade, edging, scoop, snow and other shovels, pitch forks, hoes, roofing mutts, brooms, hand saws, picks and levels. Just to list a few.

Claims

1. I claim that this tool rack being very strong, versatile, safety concious, and space conservative is helpful to its user in many ways. Whether the user is an employee, an employer or a homeowner. By hanging tools in an organized fashion, one creates a safer and cleaner work environment. It becomes much safer because less floor space is used. Tools are no longer obstacles to stumble upon. The space once occupied by unorganized tools is left clean and open reducing potential accidents. Also, by being more organized the user saves time which is definitely helpful. Especially to an employer.
