STATEMENT REGARDING FED SPONSORED R & D

[0002] This invention was not sponsored by any agency.

[0003] None.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0004] This idea came to me after months of watching myself washing the top of a soda can every time I bought one. The idea of protecting the top of the soda can with a piece of plastic film to avoid food poisoning made sense to me; the result is Tab Shield. Tab Shield will be used as a collectible item as well; it is designed to be an advertisement media as well, and could be appealing to collectors of all ages. Tab Shield could be used for other purposes different from those hereby mentioned.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] Tab Shield is just a piece of plastic film with its handle. The plastic film is intended to protect the pushdown tab, by doing so we protect mainly kids from food poisoning, which may be caused by harmful particles attached to the tab. Tab Shield will be used as an advertisement medium, which ultimately may become as a collectible item for kids and adults.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0006] FIG. 1 shows how the Tab Shield will be installed on top of a soda can.

[0007] FIG. 2 shows a soda can with the Tab Shield handle.

[0008] FIG. 3 shows the Tab Shield as a standalone item.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0009] Tab Shield is a thin plastic film in the shape shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 of the attached drawings. Tab Shield will be used to protect a soda can pushdown tab. When moisturized, the soda can pushdown tab has a tendency to retain dust, bacteria, germs, or toxic particles, which may end up being washed into the soda, hence becoming harmful to human beings. The plastic film in the shape shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 of the attached drawings, will be glued to the top cover of the soda can with a non-toxic glue; using U.V (ultraviolet) radiation or other types of radiation. Tab Shield could be peeled off the can by pulling on its handle.

[0010] The external face of the Tab Shield will be used as an advertisement medium.

[0011] The Tab Shield could also be used as a collectible item or as a ticket to attend baseball, basketball, and football or soccer games to name just a few.

Claims

1. What I claim as my invention is: the way Tab Shield will be used as a pushdown tab protective thin plastic film on top of a soda can; the use of Tab Shield as an advertisement medium; the use of Tab Shield as a collectible item. Any derived use of Tab Shield will be covered by this Utility Patent Specification.
