Medically used boot body

A medically used boot body for a user to wear on the foot. The boot body includes a boot and a soft pad body combined with the sole section of the boot. The cross-section of the pad body has a profile corresponding to that of the sole section of the boot. The pad body has a predetermined thickness. Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention is related to a medically used boot body, and more particularly to a boot for a medical worker to wear on the foot in surgery. The boot includes a soft pad body combined with the sole section of the boot. When the medical worker wears the boot and stands, the pad body is deformed to buff the force applied to the foot of human body and reduce tiredness of the foot.

[0002] When a medical worker performs a surgery for a patient, he/she often stands beside a surgical table to perform the surgery. In consideration of sanitation and safety, the medical worker can simply wear a pair of sterilized boots during the surgery. In the case of a long surgery, the medical worker will stand for a long time and the feet of the medical worker will support the weight of the medical worker for a long time. As a result, the blood circulation of the feet will become poor and the feet will feel tired, paralytic or even painful. Therefore, the attention of the medical worker to the surgery may be affected.

[0003] Referring to FIG. 4, in order to solve the above problem, a soft pad 82 is placed on the floor beside the surgery table 81 for the medical worker to stand thereon. Referring to FIG. 5, the soft pad 82 generally has a thickness within about 4˜5 cm. When a foot 91 of the medical worker steps on the soft pad 82 (the boot is omitted in FIG. 5), the soft pad 82 is deformed to buff the force exerted onto the foot and thus reduce uncomfortableness of the medical worker's foot during long time of surgery.

[0004] However, the pad body 82 laid on the floor must have a considerable length and width for the medical worker to always stand on the pad body 82 during movement in the surgery. Such a large pad body 82 can be hardly moved in the surgery. The thickness of the pad body 82 is within 4-5 cm so that a common wheeled medical equipment can hardly roll over the pad body 82. Therefore, the medical equipment often cannot be moved to a position near the medical worker. This makes it inconvenient for the medical worker to use the medical equipment in the surgery.

[0005] Furthermore, the pad body 82 is overlaid on the floor so that it is easy to be contaminated. Moreover, the pad body 82 is made of porous foam material and easy to contain bacteria therein. It is uneasy to fully sterilize the pad body 82 so that problems with respect to sanitation and safety will take place. In the case that the big pad body 82 is discarded after used, resource is wasted. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a measure to solve the above problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide a medically used boot body for a user to wear on the foot. The boot body includes a boot and a soft pad body combined with the sole section of the boot. When a medical worker wears the boot and stands, the pad body is deformed to buff the force applied to the foot of human body. With the boot body, the conventionally used big pad laid on the floor beside the surgical table is omissible. Accordingly, there is no obstacle on the floor beside the surgical table, which will obstruct the movement of medical equipment. Therefore, the medical equipment can be moved to a position near the medical worker for ready use.

[0007] It is a further object of the present invention to provide the above medically used boot body in which the cross-section of the pad body has a profile corresponding to that of the sole section of the boot. Therefore, the area of the pad body is greatly reduced to lower cost.

[0008] It is still a further object of the present invention to provide the above medically used boot body in which the pad body is disposed in the receiving space of the boot and connected with the sole section thereof. Therefore, the possibility of contamination of the pad body is minimized and the using life of the pad body is prolonged.

[0009] The present invention can be best understood through the following description and accompanying drawings wherein:

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0010] FIG. 1 is a sectional view of the boot body of the present invention;

[0011] FIG. 2 is a view according to FIG. 1, showing the use of the boot body of the present invention;

[0012] FIG. 3 is a sectional view of a second embodiment of the boot body of the present invention;

[0013] FIG. 4 shows that a conventional soft pad is laid over the floor beside a surgical table; and

[0014] FIG. 5 is a sectional view showing that the conventional soft pad is deformed when a user stands thereon.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0015] Please refer to FIG. 1. According to a first embodiment of the present invention, the medically used boot body includes a boot 1 defining a receiving space 11 for accommodating a user's foot. The receiving space 11 has an opening 12 equipped with a contracting/binding member 13. In this embodiment, the contracting/binding member 13 is an elastic belt for converging the opening 12.

[0016] The boot 1 has a sole section 15 opposite to the opening 12. The sole section 15 is combined with a pad body 2 made of soft foam material. The cross-section of the pad body 2 has a profile corresponding to that of the sole section 15. In this embodiment, the pad body 2 has a bottom face 21 and is disposed in the receiving space 11. The bottom face 21 of the pad body 2 is connected with the sole section 15. The pad body 2 has a predetermined thickness H. When used, the pad body 2 is deformed to buff the force applied to the foot of human body.

[0017] In use, the foot 3 of a medical worker is fitted into the receiving space 11 through the opening 12 of the boot 1. The contracting/binding member 13 will converge the opening 12 to make the periphery of the opening 12 tightly contact with the foot 3. The foot 3 steps on the pad body 2. When the medical worker stands, the pad body 2 is pressurized and deformed to buff the force applied to the foot and reduce uncomfortableness caused by the force.

[0018] The pad body 2 is connected with the sole section 15 of the boot 1. Therefore, no matter where the medical worker moves, the pad body 2 is deformed to buff the force applied to the foot. Accordingly, there is no obstacle on the floor beside the surgical table, which will obstruct the movement of medical equipment. Therefore, the medical equipment can be moved to a position near the medical worker for ready use.

[0019] Furthermore, the pad body 2 is disposed in the receiving space 11 of the boot 1 so that the possibility of contamination of the pad body 2 is minimized and the using life of the pad body 2 is prolonged. Moreover, the cross-section of the pad body 2 has a profile corresponding to that of the sole section 15 of the boot 1 so that the area of the pad body 2 is reduced to lower cost.

[0020] FIG. 3 shows a second embodiment of the present invention, in which the pad body 4 has a top face 41. The sole section 55 of the boot 5 is connected with the top face 41 of the pad body 4 to achieve the same effect as the first embodiment.

[0021] The above embodiments are only used to illustrate the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Many modifications of the above embodiments can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
