Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] A conventional rib structure of a four-folded umbrella includes a first rib, a second, a third rib, and a tail rib, wherein the third rib has a U-shape cross-section for connecting with the round tail rib. When the umbrella is opened, the third rib and the tail rib are straight. As the umbrella cover is covered on the frame of the ribs, it is flat but not to be an arched shape with beauty.

[0002] Accordingly, the primary object of the invention is to provide a rib structure of a four-folded umbrella, which has a connector at an outer end of the third rib to engage with the tail rib in secure to provided a four-folded umbrella with a beautiful opened outlook. Now the features and advantages of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS

[0003] FIG. 1 is a plan view showing a rib structure of a four-folded umbrella in opening state according to the present invention.

[0004] FIG. 2 is a top plan view showing the third rib and the tail rib of FIG. 1.

[0005] FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of one embodiment of the rib structure of the present invention.

[0006] FIG. 4 shows a perspective view of another embodiment of the rib structure of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0007] Please refer to FIGS. 1 to 3, the present invention relates to an improvement of a rib structure of a four-folded umbrella, which includes a first rib (1), a second rib (2), a third rib (3), and a tail rib (4) and is connected with a shaft (5). The characteristic of the invention is to provide a connector (6) at the outer end of the third rib (3) and a branch rib (31). The connector (6) has a pair of connecting slice (61) to connect with both sides of a receiver (41) mounted at an inner end of the tail rib (4). When the umbrella is opened, the connector (6) bonds the third rib (3) as well as the branch rib (31) that causes the third rib (3) to be bent archly. Hence, the umbrella with the cover shows a perfect smooth arched shape.

[0008] As shown in FIG. 4, another embodiment of the present invention uses a loop (7) with a connecting piece (71) instead of the connector (6). The loop (7) can bond the third rib (3) and the branch rib (31) for obtaining a same effect.

[0009] Accordingly, the present invention obviously achieves utility and improvement and should be allowed for patent.
