Personal device shoulder harness system

A personal device shoulder harness system comprised of one continuous strip of material. Each end of this single continuous strip of material, preferably vegetable tanned leather for it's unique and user friendly qualities, has a hook an/or loop fastening fabric material of a suggested minimum 10% of the strip's length or six inches in length, and as wide as the material used for the harness system, at each end to accommodate adjustments by the wearer. The hook and loop fastening fabric material closures are located to meet at the right front shoulder. This single continuous strip of material crisscrosses over the back of the wearer. There is an adjustment coupling apparatus where the one continuous strip of material crisscrosses over the back to provide adjustment by the wearer. And there will be a d-ring or facsimile apparatus where the user can attach their personal device of choice and, this apparatus will be attached to the one continuous strip of material by a rivet, or facsimile, which could create a permanent location, or an aluminum post with a screw, which could be relocated by the wearer to their liking, or facilitate the changing of the d-ring to an alternative apparatus, or facsimiles of either of any number of available apparatuses. This one continuous strip of material is to be simple and durable in construction, inexpensive to manufacture, and will be efficient and useful to facilitate the wearer with a personal device shoulder harness system to attach their personal device [s] of choice.

[0001] I am claiming the benefits of the benefits of the filing date of provisional application # 60/404990 filed 20 Aug. 2002.

[0002] 1. Field of Invention

[0003] This invention relates to, to name many and most currently relates to newer personal device shoulder harness systems for carrying personal items on the upper torso of the wearer.

[0004] 2. The Description of the Prior Art

[0005] The use of the article carriers, personal carrying devices, shoulder holsters, and harnesses is known in the prior art. More specifically, these devices heretofore devised and utilized are known to consist basically of familiar, expected structural configuration, not withstanding the multiple parts and/or connections, so as to connect two or more pieces together, as exhibited in the myriad of design encompassed by the crowded prior art which have been developed for the fulfillment of countless specific objectives and/or requirements.

[0006] Known prior art includes U.S. Pat No. 3,739,961; U.S. Pat No. 5,120,288; U.S. Pat No. 5,246,153; U.S. Pat No. 5,775,558; U.S. Pat No. 5,816,460; U.S. Pat No. 6,543,661. While all the devices fulfill their respective particular objectives, the affore mentioned patents all have a commonality of multiple pieces and/or connections to accomplish a specific purpose and/or function.

[0007] In these respects, this invention is a personal device shoulder harness system with one continuous strip of material and an apparatus to attach the personal device [s] of the wearer's choice. This departs from the multiple pieces to be bound together and specified vessels to carry predetermined devices by keeping the harness system, simple and durable in construction and fabrication, allowing the individual wearer to attach their personal device of choice, inexpensive to manufacture, for the purpose of mass marketing, and a system that will be efficient and useful in operation.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] In view of the fore going disadvantages inherent in the known types of article carriers, personal carrying devices, shoulder holsters, and harnesses, now present in the prior art, the present invention provides a new personal device shoulder harness system construction wherein the same can be used for carrying personal articles on the upper torso of the wearer.

[0009] The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a new personal device shoulder harness system and method which has many of the advantages of the personal carrying devices, shoulder holsters, and harnesses mentioned heretofore, and many features that result in a new personal device shoulder harness system which is not complex and predetermined in function, while having the simplification and durable construction and inexpensive to manufacture for the purpose of mass marketing, and a system that will be efficient and useful in operation

[0010] To obtain this goal, this present invention is generally a single continuous strip of material to form a harness system in a configuration to be worn over and under the shoulders while crisscrossing over the back. This system will also have a d-ring, or facsimile so the wearer can attain their personal device [s] of choice. An adjustment shall be possible by adjusting the coupling apparatus and/or the ends attached by loop and hook fastening fabric material.

[0011] Before explaining at least one embodiment of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that this invention is not limited to it's application to the details of construction and the arrangements and components set fourth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting.

[0012] As such, those skilled in the art will appreciate that this conception, upon which this discussion is based, may immediately be utilized as a basis for design of other structures, methods, and systems for caring out the many purposes of the present invention. It is important, therefore, that the claims be regarded as including such equivalent construction insofar as they do not depart from the spirit and scope of the present invention.

[0013] Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark office and the general public, and especially the scientist, engineers, and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent and legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application. The abstract is neither intended to define the invention of the application, which is measured by the claims, nor is it intended to be limiting as to the scope of the invention in any way.

[0014] It is therefore an object of the present invention is to provide a new personal device shoulder harness system, which is yielding of low cost of manufacture with regards to both materials and labor, and which accordingly is then susceptible of low prices of sale to the ultimate consumer and wearer, thereby making such personal device shoulder harness system economically available to the ultimate consuming public.

[0015] It is further object of the present invention to provide a new personal device shoulder harness system, which may be easily and efficiently manufactured and marketed.

[0016] Still yet another object of the present inventions to provide a new personal device shoulder harness system, which provides in devices and methods of the prior art some of the advantages thereof, while simultaneously overcoming some of the disadvantages normally associated therewith.

[0017] Still another object of the present invention is to provide a new personal device shoulder harness system for carrying personal item on the upper torso of the wearer.

[0018] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a new personal device shoulder harness system that has an apparatus of a d-ring, or facsimile that is attached to the one continuous strip of material. To allow the wearer to choose the item [s] they wish to keep at their immediate disposal.

[0019] These together with other features of this invention are pointed out with particularly in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure. For better understanding of the invention, it's operating and manufacturing advantages and the specific objects attained by it's uses, reference should be made to the accompaning drawings and descriptive matter in which there are illustrated preferred embodiments of the invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

This apparatus can be a connection by a rivet, or facsimile, as a permanent placement, or an aluminum post with screw, or facsimile, which could be relocated by the wearer to their liking, of facilitate the changing of the d-ring, or facsimile, with an alternative apparatus, or facsimile.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0025] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIG. I through 4 thereof, a new personal device shoulder harness system embodying the principles and concepts of the present inventions and generally designated by the reference FIG. 1 will be described.

[0026] This new personal device shoulder harness system is one continuous strip of material has a d-ring 3, or facsimile apparatus attachment 4 at the closed loop, left front, at a level where the wearer can attach 3 a personal device [s] of choice, so same will hang close to the upper torso so as to not restrict or interfere with normal activities and are readily accessibility to the wearer.

[0027] The coupling means 5, 6 include one from a group of coupling means 5,6. The group of coupling means 5,6 includes hook and loop fastening fabric material, a button snap system, and a buckle-type latching system or other facsimile coupling apparatuses.

[0028] The adjustment coupling apparatus 2 is a square piece, or other shape, of leather, or other suited material that will have friction relative to the one continuous strip of material 1, and said apparatus shall have two sets of parallel slots 8, cut in opposite directions so the one continuous strip of material may pass through these slots 8, in opposite directions.

[0029] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationship for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specifications are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

[0030] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A personal device shoulder harness system for carrying personal item [s] on the upper torso of the wearer, and the device comprising:

Of one continuous strip of material.
Each end of this single continuous strip of material shall have a coupling means including a hook and loop fastening fabric material, a button snap system, and a buckle-type latching system or other facsimile coupling apparatuses.
Said apparatus may be adaptable to also be condusive to adjustments for comfort by the wearer.

2. The personal device shoulder harness system as set fourth in claim 1 further comprising:

a d-ring apparatus, or facsimile, shall be located on the front of the closed loop [left] side, so the wearer may attach their personal item[s] of choice to be worn at or near chest level so as not to interfere with normal activities and still be redially accessible.
Said apparatus shall be attached to the one continuous strip of material with a rivet, or aluminum post with screw, or facsimile.

3. The personal device shoulder harness system as set fourth in claim 2 further comprising of an adjusting coupling apparatus, or facsimile, where the one continuous strip of material crisscrosses over the back of the wearer, and provides adjustment by the wearer for their own personal comfort.
