Plastic lid for cat food can

Abstract

A plastic lid with removal tab made to fit 3 ounce cat food cans, is a new offering for the pet food purchasing consumer. Various plastic lids are available for various pet food cans, including a plastic lid that fits two sizes of pet food cans. However, this is the first plastic lid to my knowledge, that will fit a 3 ounce cat food can.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0005] Various plastic lids have been produced for consumer use to cover cans of various sizes. These cans, once opened, and having the contents not completely used, can be resealed for storage with these plastic lids. These lids are available for consumers to purchase for the can sizes that include various 6 ounce tuna cans, 11 ounce dog food cans, 14 ounce soup cans and 6 ounce cat food cans.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] This invention offers the consumer a plastic lid that will cover smaller cat food cans, i.e. the 3 ounce Fancy Feast or lams cat food can, that the current plastic lids available will not fit.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0009] This invention of a plastic cat food cover made to fit 3 ounce cans of cat food with removal tab, is being produced by a mold injected process, using a 100 Ton machine, including a 4 cavity molding unit, with LDPE FDA approved plastic material. The manufacturer is Burkett Molding, Inc., located at 21 Hamiliton Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847. The finished size of this plastic cat food cover will be 2.67″ in diameter and 0.45″ in height, See FIG. 1, provided by Burkett Molding, Inc. Lastly, each plastic cat food cover will include the following words molded into to lid top, “Premium Cat Food Cover” and “Hand Wash”, as seen in FIG. 2.

1. What I claim as my invention is a plastic lid with removal tab, made to fit 3 ounce cat food cans.
