Shooting exercise for simultaneous multiple shooters

A shooting exercise allows multiple shooters to shoot laser beams simultaneously at a target with several receivers with a laser gun. First, each laser gun held by each shooter is tuned to a unique frequency. Second, the shooters simultaneously shoot laser beams at the target. Third, receivers on the target register target hits. Fourth, a hit signal is sent to a host by the receiver when a receiver is struck by a laser beam. Fifth, the host processes the hit signals and produces a result. Then, the results are displayed on a monitor to show the hits of each shooter. Finally, a speaker sends out a sound.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a shooting exercise, and more particularly to a shooting exercise that allows multiple people to shoot simultaneously at a target and counts the hits for each shooter.

[0003] 2. Description of Related Art

[0004] Shooting exercises allow people to practice shooting to improve their skills. Guns that use a laser, called a laser gun, instead of bullets are widely used in shooting exercises as shooting games. In such a game, the shooter aims the laser gun at a target that has a lot of receivers or sensors and squeezes a trigger of the laser gun to emit a laser beam. A laser generator that is mounted in the laser gun produces a laser beam when the trigger is squeezed. If a receiver on the target detects the laser beam, the shooter scores in the shooting game.

[0005] Conventional shooting exercises only allow one shooter at a time to shoot at the target so the hits can be counted easily for each shooter and scores can be registered when one shooter has finished shooting. When all shooters have finished shooting, a final result is displayed, and a winner is selected. This type of exercise is not as interesting as simultaneous, head-to-head competition with an opponent. Shooters who play in turns will not feel as competitive when shooting alone. If each shooter shoots his or her own laser gun at his or her own target, equipment cost is high.

[0006] To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention provides a shooting exercise for simultaneous multiple shooters to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] The main objective of the invention is to provide a shooting exercise that allows several shooters shoot a target at the same time and counts hits for each shooter when the shooting has finished.

[0008] Another objective of the invention is to provide a shooting exercise that is more interesting and fun than the conventional shooting exercise.

[0009] Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0014] With reference to FIGS. 1 to 4, four shooters (not shown) hold four laser guns (30) respectively to shoot a target (10) with several receivers (11) in a shooting exercise in accordance with the present invention. The shooting exercise includes the steps of tuning each laser gun (30) to a unique frequency, shooting the laser guns (30) at the target (10), registering hits by an individual laser guns (30), sending hit signals to a host (20), processing the hit signals, displaying hits and making an audible sound.

[0015] Each laser gun (30) emits a laser beam that is tuned to a unique frequency to distinguish which laser gun (30) hits the target (10). The frequency for each laser gun (30) selecting by inserting a frequency selection card (35) into the laser gun (30), which causes the laser gun (30) to change the frequency of the laser beam produced by the laser gun (30).

[0016] Each shooter simultaneously shoots at the receivers (11) on the target (10).

[0017] When one of the receivers (11) is hit by the laser beam produced by one of the laser guns (30), the receiver (11) registers a hit by the laser gun (30) with the frequency of the laser beam and sends a hit signal to the host (20).

[0018] When the host (20) receives the hit signal, the host (20) processes the hit signal with a logical operation and increments the accumulated hits for the corresponding laser gun (30) and generates a result.

[0019] The host (20) displays the result of the shooting excise for the shooters on a monitor and outputs a sound though a speaker.

[0020] The shooting exercise will be more interesting than a conventional shooting exercise because one or more opponents can shoot at the target (10) with you at the same time. Every shooter who wants to win needs to take a quicker response than others' to shoot. The shooting exercise will be filled with a competitive atmosphere that will increase the interest and fun.

[0021] Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.

Claims

1. A shooting exercise for simultaneous multiple shooters that uses individual laser guns and a common target with laser receivers and the shooting exercise comprising:

A. tuning each laser gun to a unique frequency of a laser beam, where the frequency of the laser beam produced by and emitted from the laser gun;
B. shooting the laser beams from the laser guns simultaneously at the target, where several shooters hold individual laser guns respectively and each shooter shoots simultaneously at the receivers on the target;
C. registering target hits by the laser beams from individual laser guns;
D. sending a hit signal to a host, which identifies the specific laser gun that hit the target;
E. processing the hit signals, where the host processes the hit signals with a logical operation to count hits for each shooter and produces a result; and
F. displaying the results, where the results for each shooter are displayed on a monitor.

2. The shooting exercise for simultaneous multiple shooters as claimed in claim 1, wherein the shooting exercise further comprises the following step after the displaying the results step:

A. sending out a sound, where the sound is sent out through speakers; and
B. showing the cumulative hits, the cumulative hits of each shooter shown on a monitor.
