Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to textile engineering and, more specifically, to a method of making flourishing-colored yarns.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] Conventionally, making a piece of cloth to show a color design includes two methods, i.e., the first method of dying the piece of cloth and the second method of using color yarns to weave the desired piece of cloth. Dying a piece of cloth normally makes the whole piece of cloth to show a particular color (or color gradation). There are two methods of weaving colorful cloths with color yarns. One method is to weave colorful cloths with color yarns each having a single color. The other method is to weave colorful cloths with color yarns each having longitudinal sections of different colors.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] It is the main object of the present invention to provide a flourishing-colored yarn fabrication method, which is practical for making flourishing-colored yarns for weaving cloths having a flourishing color design.

[0006] To achieve this object of the present invention, the flourishing-colored yarn fabrication method comprises the steps of: (a) preparing a plurality of, for example, four tops of different colors; (b) using a carding machine to card the tops of different colors so as to obtain card slivers of different colors; (c) feeding the card slivers into a drawing frame for enabling the card slivers to be drawn into a drawn sliver; (d) using a roving frame to rove the drawn sliver into a roving yarn; and (e) using a spinning frame to spin the roving yarn into a finished flourishing-colored yarn.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

[0007] FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing the flourishing-colored yarn fabrication procedure of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0008] Referring to FIG. 1, a flourishing-colored yarn fabrication method in accordance with the present invention includes the steps of (a) material preparation, (b) carding, (c) drawing, (d) roving, and (e) spinning.

[0009] During step (a) material preparation, multiple, for example, four tops 10a-10d are prepared from natural fibers such as cotton, linen, ramie, silk, wool, angora, mohair, cashmere, etc., or synthetic fibers such as acrylic fibers, polyester fibers, nylon, viscose fibers, etc. The tops 10a-10d have different colors. The color range includes red, purple, coffee, black, orange, yellow, green, blue, dark green, gray, and etc. The color of each top can be the original color of the material of the top itself, or formed by dying. Because the formation of the color of each top is not within the scope of the present invention, no further detailed description is necessary in this regard.

[0010] During step (b) carding, a carding machine 20 is used to card the prepared tops 10a-10d several times (three or four times), so as to remove impurities from the fibers and smoothen the fibers, and to further obtain (four) card slivers 30a-30d of different colors.

[0011] During the step (c) drawing, the card slivers 30a-30d thus obtained are fed into a drawing frame 40, and drawn by the drawing frame 40 into a drawn sliver 50 with uniform diameters of fibers.

[0012] During the step (d) roving, a roving frame 60 is used to process the drawn sliver 50 thus obtained into a roving yarn 70 through a draft action and a twisting action. According to the present preferred embodiment, a 1/38SMM (spinning metric count) yarn of 40% contraction percentage (20% or 8% contraction percentage is acceptable) is simultaneously fed into the roving frame 60, and then twisted with the drawn sliver 50 at 30˜45 T/M (twist per meter), forming a 1/38MM (metric count) yarn, and then twisted with a 1/38SMM yarn with high contraction percentage at twist 75 T/M through a left hand twist (S-twist) into the roving yarn 70, which can then be built into a hank, and then steam-set into a loop yarn at a temperature of 100° C. It is to be understood that the loop yarn processing procedure is optional.

[0013] During the step (e) spinning, a spinning frame 80 is used to spine the roving yarn 70 obtained subject to the aforesaid processing steps into a finished flourishing-colored yarn 90 subject to the desired counts (1/1.5˜1/60SMM). The posterior winging, doubling, twisting procedures are not within the scope of the invention, and therefore no further detailed description is necessary.

[0014] The aforesaid yarn fabrication method is absolutely different from conventional woolen, worsted and fancy yarn fabrication methods. A flourishing-colored yarn 90 made according to the present invention has flourishing colors. Therefore, using flourishing-colored yarns made according to the present invention can weave pieces of cloths having a fine color design. For easy understanding of the product and actual effect of the present invention, two cloth patch samples are attached.
