The present invention relates to a cable coiler structure comprising an accommodating box having an accommodating groove with a separator disposed therein; a first hole and a second hole disposed respectively at the corresponsive positions on both side surfaces of the accommodating box; a cover movably coupled on the accommodating groove and having a guide in the inner surface of the cover such that a cable passing through the first hole, the guider, a separator and a second hole in sequence being divided into two sections by rotating the cover with the guider as the axis, in which one section of the cable being accommodated into the space between the separator and the cover through the first hole, and the other section into the space between the separator and the accommodating box through the second hole.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a cable coiler structure, more particularly to a cable coiler structure providing means for coiling cables with rotary movement of the rotary structure in one direction and uncoiling in another direction.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] Regular electronic device generally has a power cable, and such power cable is externally connected to the alternate current supplied by the power company Since we cannot predetermine the location where to put such electronic device and how far is the electronic device from the power socket of the alternate power, therefore such power cord is set to an appropriate length to cope with the practical use. If the distance between the electronic device and the power socket is still to far apart, an extension cord can be used for the connection, but if the distance between the electric device and the power socket is too close, then the length of the power cable will obviously be too long. When such electronic device is put on the floor, one may easily stumble on the cable and hurt oneself. Such electronic device, for example, a computer system being placed on a desk may stumble someone walking by. In addition, most of the data transmissions between the computer system and the peripherals such as printer, monitor, modem, and scanner, etc are through the data line, therefore the computer system also includes many cables connecting to the peripherals besides the power cable, and the cables will tangle together like spaghettis. Therefore if there is a cable coiler structure can properly accommodate all kinds of cables (such as power cord and signal line, etc), then it can save the area occupied by such cables, and also enhances the artistic look of the computer system.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] In view of the aforementioned shortcomings that the power cord of the electronic device may stumble and hurt someone accidentally, and the tangled cables of the parallel cable, signal line, and power cable, etc. give poor appearance. Therefore, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience accumulated from the engagement in the related industry conducted extensive research to resolve the aforementioned shortcomings and invented the cable coiler structure of the present invention.

[0006] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a cable coiler structure, which uses a hollow accommodating box comprising: a mobile cover; a first hole and a second hole disposed at the corresponsive positions on the inner sides of the accommodating box; a guider for passing the cable through the guider disposed on inner surface of the cover; and a separator coupled to the guider such that when the cover is rotated, the cable will be coiled into both sides of the separator. In other words, one end of the cable is coiled from the first hole into the accommodating box at the section proximate to the cover, and the other end of the cable is coiled from the other hole into the accommodating box at the section far from the cover.

[0007] To make it easier for our examiner to understand the objective of the invention, its structure, innovative features, and performance, we use a preferred embodiment together with the attached drawings for the detailed description of the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0013] Please refer to FIGS. 1 and 2 for the cable coiler structure of the present invention, comprising: a hollow accommodating box 12; a first hole 122 and a second hole 21 disposed at the corresponsive positions on the inner side of the accommodating box 12; an accommodating groove 120 disposed inside the accommodating box; a separator 13 disposed in the accommodating groove 120, and the accommodating groove 120 having a movable cover 11, a guider 16 disposed on the inner side of the cover 11, and such guider 16 being coupled to the separator 13; when a cable 10 in sequence passes through the first hole 122, the guider 16, the separator 13, and the second hole 121, the turning of the cover 11 will coil the cable 10 into both sides of the separator 13 with the guider 16 as a center In other words, the cable 10 is separated into two sections by the guider 16, of which one section is gradually accommodated into the space between the separator 13 and the cover 11 through the first hole 122, and the other section is gradually accommodated into the space between the separator 13 and the accommodating box 12. Such arrangement allows user to accommodate some of the cable 10 into the accommodating box 12 by rotating the cover 11 if the cable 10 is found to long. It definitely can solve the problem of the prior art that has a too long cable 10.

[0014] Please refer to FIG. 2 for a preferred embodiment of the present, which further comprises a circular rotary disc 14 movably disposed in the accommodating groove 120; a fixing member 15 disposed at the center of the rotary disc 14, such that the fixing member 15 faces an end of the separator 13 at its corresponsive side edge, and a first latching section 150 is respectively extended to the separator 13.

[0015] In the preferred embodiment, the guider 16 comprises a through hole 160 passing through both sides of the guider 16 and facing an end of the separator 13, and a second latching section 161 is disposed at its corresponsive side edge (the exact position is not shown).

[0016] Please refer to FIGS. 2 and 3. In the preferred embodiment, the separator 13 is a flat board having a hole 130 at its center, and the diameter of the hole 130 at least allows the guider 16 and the cable 10 to pass through.

[0017] The guider 16 passes through the hole 130 and uses its second latching section 161 and the first latching section 150 of the rotary disc 14 for the mutual engagement such that the rotary disc 14 is coupled to the cover 11, and after the cable 10 passes through the through hole 160, an end of the cable 10 passes through in the direction between the cover 11 and the separator 13, and the other end passes through in the direction between the accommodating box 12 and the separator 13. Then, the cover 11 is covered onto the accommodating groove 120 of the accommodating box 12, and the cover 11 is movably disposed on the accommodating box 12 for the rotation, and places one end of the cable 10 into the hole 122, and the other end of the cable 10 into another hole 121.

[0018] In the preferred embodiment, since the rotary disc 14 is a movably disposed inside the accommodating box 12 (please refer to FIGS. 2 and 4), the cover 11 is rotated on the accommodating box 12 by fixing the accommodating box 12 in position while rotating the cover 11. On the other hand, keeping the cover 11 in a fixed position while rotating the accommodating box 12 can coil the cable 10 into the accommodating box 12 as the cover 11 rotates. The cable 10 is coiled into both sides of the separator 13 such that one section of the cable 10 is coiled through the hole 122 into the accommodating box 12, and the other section of the cable 10 is coiled through the hole 121 into the accommodating box 12.

By assembling the aforementioned elements and viewing the way of coiling the cable 10, the position of the cable 10 in the accommodating groove 120 is in different height, and thus the depth of the second hole 121 according to the present invention is larger than the first hole 122, and the cable 10 can be coiled more smoothly and easily into the accommodating box 12.

[0020] In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, a through hole 123 with diameter smaller than the rotary disc 14 is disposed in the center of the accommodating box 12, and a disc 17 with diameter larger than the through hole 123 is disposed at the center of the accommodating box 12; a latching member 18 is disposed at the center of the disc 17; the fixing member 15 adjacent to the latching section 150 having another latching member 151 so that after the latching member 18 passes through the through hole 123 into the accommodating box 12, the latching member 18 can be exactly latched with another latching member 151 and the disc 17 can be coupled with the fixing member 15. The main purpose of the aforementioned assembling is to couple the guider 16 and the fixing member in order to movably restrict the cover 11 inside the accommodating box 12 by means of the coupling of the disc 17 and the fixing member 15, and then prevent the cover 11 from falling off from the accommodating box 12.

[0021] In another preferred embodiment, the accommodating box 12 further comprises a restricting section 19, and the through hole 123 is disposed at the center of the restricting section 19, and the restricting section 19 ha a accommodating space on the side far away from the cover 11, such that the disc 17 can be accommodated into the accommodating space

[0022] In summation of the above description, the present invention herein enhances the performance than the conventional structure and further complies with the patent application requirements and is submitted to the Patent and Trademark Office for review and granting of the commensurate patent rights.

[0023] While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of a preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements and procedures, and the scope of the appended claims therefore should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements and procedures.

Claims

1. A cable coiler structure, comprising of:

an accommodating box, further comprising an accommodating groove; a separator disposed in the accommodating groove; a first hole and a second hole disposed respectively at the corresponsive positions on both side surfaces of the accommodating box;
a cover, movably coupled on the accommodating groove, and having a guide in the inner surface of the cover such that a cable passing through the first hole, the guider, a separator, and a second hole in sequence and then dividing the cable into two sections by rotating the cover with the guider as the axis, in which one section of the cable being accommodated into the space between the separator and the cover through the first hole, and the other section into the space between the separator and the accommodating box through the second hole.

2 A cable coiler structure as claimed in claim 1, in which the said accommodating groove further comprising a circular disc, and the circular disc having a fixing member at its center, and the fixing member facing an end of the separator at the corresponding sides, and having a first latching section extended to the separator respectively.

A cable coiler structure as claimed in claim 2, in which the said guider having the through hole on both sides of the guider to let the cable to pass through and facing having an end of the separator at the corresponding sides and having a second corresponsive latching section extended to the first latching section.

4. A cable coiler structure as claimed in claim 1, in which the said separator being a plane board, having a hole at the center of the plane board, and the diameter of the hole at least enabling the guider and the cable to pass through.

5. A cable coiler structure as claimed in claim 1, in which the said second hole having a depth larger than the first hole.

A cable coiler structure as claimed in claim 2, in which the said accommodating box having at its center a through hole with diameter smaller than the rotary disc; and a disc with diameter larger than the disc; and the disc at its center having a first latching member, and a second latching member at the position adjacent to the second latching section on the fixing member such that after the first latching member passing through the through hole into the accommodating box, the first latching member is latched into the second latching member, and the disc is coupled with the fixing member.

7. A cable coiler structure as claimed in claim 6, in which the accommodating box further comprising a restricting section, and the through hole being the center of the restricting section; an accommodating space being disposed on the side of the cover far from the restricting section, such that the disc being accommodated into the accommodating space.
