Fence module

A fence module includes fence module units each having a first pair of extensions, a second pair of extensions opposite to the first pair of extensions, and a third pair of extensions adapted to extend into a surface to stand the fence module unit upright. Each of the first pair of extensions has a through hole and each of the second pair of extensions has a cone-headed projection to correspond to one of the through holes of the first pair of extensions of an adjacent fence module unit so that connection of the cone-headed projection and the corresponding through hole is able to assemble a fence that is able to adapt to terrain.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a fence module, and more particularly to a fence module having multiple units each having a first pair of extensions, a second pair of extensions opposite to the first pair of extensions and a third pair of extensions. Each of the first pair of extensions has a through hole and each of the second pair of extensions has a cone-headed projection to correspond to one of the through holes of the first pair of extensions of an adjacent unit so that connection of the cone-headed projection and the corresponding through hole is able to assemble a fence that is able to adapt to the terrain and obstacles.

[0003] 2. Description of Related Art

[0004] Conventionally, there are two ways to mount a fence on the ground: one is to dig a ditch first and then the fence is secured in the ditch by dirt which was dug out to form the ditch; the other one is to insert the fence directly in the ground. It seems that the latter is more convenient than the first one. However, no matter the user is using the first method or the second method to mount the fence, the fence is rigid and has little ability to go around an obstacle on the ground. Moreover, these fences are easily disconnected from one another after an earthquake.

[0005] To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide an improved fence module to mitigate and obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an improved fence module having multiple units each having a first pair of extensions, a second pair of extensions opposite to the first pair of extensions and a third pair of extensions. Each of the first pair of extensions has a through hole and each of the second pair of extensions has a cone-headed projection to correspond to one of the through holes of the first pair of extensions of an adjacent unit so that connection of the cone-headed projection and the corresponding through hole is able to assemble a fence that is able to adapt to the terrain and obstacles.

[0007] Another objective of the present invention is that the center of the cone-headed projection has a slit defined in it so that the two halves of the cone-headed projection are able to move toward each other to easily extend through the corresponding through hole.

[0008] Still another objective of the present invention is that the through hole is circular in shape so that after assembly of the fence, the fence has great ability to go around the obstacle on the ground.

[0009] Another objective of the present invention is that the third pair of extensions is able to allow the user to extend the fence module unit into the ground directly without further work.

[0010] Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0015] With reference to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, a fence module in accordance with the present invention includes multiple fence module units (10) interconnected with one another. Each of the fence module units (10) has a first pair of extensions (11), a second pair of extensions (13) opposite to the first pair of extensions (11) and a third pair of extensions (15) adapted to extend into a surface of the ground. Each of the first pair of extensions (11) has a through hole (111) and each of the second pair of extensions has a cone-headed projection (131) to correspond to one of the through holes (111) of the first pair of extensions (11) of an adjacent fence module unit (10) so that connection of the cone-headed projection (131) and the corresponding through hole (111) is able to assemble a fence that is able to adapt to the terrain and obstacles.

[0016] Referring to FIG. 3, it is noted that the cone-headed projection (131) has a slit (132) defined in a center of the cone-headed projection (131) to separate the cone-headed projection (131) into two halves. A maximum diameter of the cone-headed projection (131) is nominally larger than the diameter of the through hole (111). Furthermore, a countersunk hole (112) is defined to communicate with the through hole (111) of each one of the first pair of extensions (11) and the countersunk hole (112) has a diameter greater than the maximum diameter of the cone-headed projection (131). When the cone-headed projection (131) is inserted into the corresponding through hole (111), the two halves of cone-headed projection (131) are forced to move toward each other due to the interference fit between the through hole (111) and the cone-headed projection (131). After the cone-headed projection (131) passes through the through hole (111), the two halves spring away from each other and rest in the countersunk hole (112) by abutting a bottom face defining the countersunk hole (112). After the cone-headed projection (131) extends through the corresponding through hole (111) and rests in the countersunk hole (112), connection between two adjacent fence module units (10) is secured. Therefore, even if there is an earthquake, the connection between any two adjacent fence module units (10) remains.

[0017] The third pair of extensions (15) has sharp free end so that the user is able to mount the fence module unit (10) into the ground directly without any further work.

[0018] Furthermore, a handle-like holding portion (17) is provided on top of each of the fence module units (10) and is opposite to the third pair of extensions (15). The user is able to hold the holding portion (17) easily and thus carry the fence module unit (10) around without any difficulty.

[0019] With this fence module unit (10), the user is able to freely adjust the length of the fence according to requirement such that cost is greatly reduced in comparison to conventional fences. Further, due to the connection between the cone-headed projection (131) and the through hole (111), each fence module unit (10) is able to rotate to any direction as required. The user is able to practically employ this fence module unit to any kind of terrain.

[0020] With reference to FIG. 4, when the terrain changes, the user is able to use the specialized connection between any two adjacent fence module units (10) to adapt to different terrain.

[0026] It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.

Claims

1. A fence module comprising:

fence module units each having
a first pair of extensions;
a second pair of extensions opposite to the first pair of extensions; and
a third pair of extensions adapted to extend into a surface to stand the fence module unit upright,
wherein each of the first pair of extensions has a through hole and each of the second pair of extensions has a cone-headed projection to correspond to one of the through holes of the first pair of extensions of an adjacent fence module unit so that connection of the cone-headed projection and the corresponding through hole is able to assemble a fence that is able to adapt to terrain.

2. The fence module as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cone-headed projection has a slit defined in a center of the cone-headed projection so that two halves of the cone-headed projection are able to move toward each other by an external force when extending through the corresponding through hole.

The fence module as claimed in claim 2 further comprising a countersunk hole defined to correspond to the through hole of each of the first pair of extensions such that after the two halves of the cone-headed projection pass through the corresponding through hole, the two halves of the cone-headed projection spring away from each other and then abut a bottom face defining the countersunk hole after extension of the cone-headed projection into the corresponding through hole.

4. The fence module as claimed in claim 3, wherein a holding portion is formed on top of the fence module unit and is opposite to the third pair of extensions to enable the fence module unit to be easily transported.
