Description

[0001] This non-provisional application is being claimed the benefits of an earlier provisional application; application No. 60/407,717 filed Sep. 4, 2002.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] 1. Field of Invention

[0003] The present invention relates to a one size fit wear. More specifically, the invention relates to the top and bottom of an article of clothing. The one size fit wear can be enlarged and reduced to fit the individual wearer comfortably and appropriately by opening and closing respectively several fasteners that are attached to the top and bottom of the article of clothing. The invention is ideal for wearers whose article of clothing for the top and bottom is between two sizes and for those who wish to wear them loose and baggy. The tops and bottoms for the invention in question are in the shape and style of a conventional article of clothing.

[0004] 2. Description of the Prior Art

[0005] Current industries have been trying to find a solution to the question of finding a uniform sized apparel clothing. One such idea is illustrated by de la Villefromoy, et al. U.S. Pat. No. 5,033,125 to de la Villefromoy, et. al. suggests a waist adjustment mechanism for a garment that enables the waist size of the garment to be easily and conveniently adjusted to accommodate the extensive range of waist sizes among individuals. Here, the waist adjustment feature consists of a series of opposed fastening elements disposed along the interior surface of the waistband whereby the engagements of selected fasteners of the opposed fastening elements reduces the waist of the garment to the desired size. Although the invention is not limited to the waist, but also to the ankle, the invention emphasizes on the waist for enlarging and reducing the article of clothing in question.

[0006] U.S. Pat. No. 5,163,182 to Fiveash is another invention that challenges this question. Here, the article in question is a jumpsuit with a dropseat panel concealed by a folded pocket panel. For this invention, the primary concern for the jumpsuit is to hold the waistband from falling down into the toilet. Although it does try to overcome the idea of a one size fit, it is not a primary concern for this invention.

[0007] U.S. Pat. No. 5,331,685 to Belgard suggests a unitary garment for enclosing the torso and at least the upper arms and legs of the wearer. Here, the front portion of the unitary garment portion defines a vertical central opening, having an upper and lower ends opening upwardly through the collar portion and terminating downwardly adjacent the crotch portion. It also consists of a horizontal opening extending from the central opening at the mid-height chest level of the front portion of the garment outwardly to points closely adjacent the corresponding aforementioned areas. Although Belgard's invention tries to improve on the uniform sized apparel clothing, it is only limited to jumpsuits and coveralls. Moreover, the fasteners in question are placed in the center of the article of clothing in question with multiple horizontal fasteners and a single vertical fastener. Although the prior arts mentioned above tries to overcome the issues of an all uniform sized apparel clothing, none of the prior arts discloses the: attachments and specification of the current one size fits all invention.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The invention relates to, but is not limited to the top and bottom of an article of clothing. Moreover, the article of clothing can be in the form, but is not limited to pants; sweaters, jackets, pullovers, denim, turtle neck, polo shirts, t-shirts and shorts. A fastener and its receiving end is placed vertically along the side of the top and bottom of the article of clothing, with the percentage length of the fastener ranging from 0.1% to 100%. The invention is ideal for all users who appreciate to wear their clothing loose and somewhat baggy. Furthermore, it allows the individual whose size lie somewhere in between two sizes to wear comfortably without any discomfort.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0025] Referring to FIG. 5, FIG. 6, FIG. 7 and FIG. 8, the preferred embodiment of the present invention is that of a one size fit wear by which it can be enlarged and reduced to fit the wearer comfortably and appropriately by opening and closing respectively a fastener that is attached vertically along the sides of the top and bottom of the article of clothing in question. The mechanism consists of a fastener 45 and its receiving ends 56 and 67 as seen in FIG. 6. As the individual wearer puts on the one size fits all article of clothing, the individual adjusts to the size that most suits him/her by latching the fastener to either end of the receiver, thus positioning himself/herself to its most appropriate size. FIG. 7 and FIG. 8 shows the latching mechanism at work. During this process, the outer most layer of clothing 23 is maintained the same throughout while the inner excess layer 34 extends when the article of clothing is enlarged and reduced.
