Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The inventor is a motorcycle enthusiast who lives in South Florida and realized the need for a cover to keep a motorcycle saddle cool and protected from the outdoor elements.

[0002] The Cool Cover is an attractively styled saddle cover to keep the saddle cool when the motorcycle is being parked outside in bright sunlight. This lightweight covering would help keep the temperature of the saddle down, thus making the rider more comfortable and the ride more enjoyable. The product would also help to extend the life of the saddle by preventing damage from moisture and UV rays.

[0003] FIG. 1 is the motorcycle saddle uncovered

[0004] FIG. 2 is the front view of the cover

[0005] FIG. 3 is the left side view of the cover

[0006] FIG. 4 is the right side view of the cover

[0007] FIG. 5 is the rear view of the cover

[0008] The covering would measure approximately 3 to 4 feet long, if one size fits all concept is used. It would be shaped to fit over the entire saddle and passenger backrest if equipped. An elastic or drawstring closure would be included around the lower edge to enable the user to secure the cover snugly over the seat while parked. The Cool Cover would intercept bright sunlight, bird droppings, rain and other sources of potential harm. Upon returning, the owner would simply remove the cover and fold it up for neat storage. The rider could than climb onto the cool, clean saddle for riding. The cover could be made in a variety of different sizes, materials and colors. The cover can also be vented to allow the heated air to escape.

[0009] Producibility Considerations The Cool Cover could be easily produced using conventional and readily available material and manufacturing processes. No new production technology would be required. The cover could be produced of quality nylon that is rot-resistant and resilient. The material could be cut to shape with power shears according to a predetermined pattern and than machine stitched to form the lower edge loop for the drawstring. As an alternative, the cover could also be made of cotton or other material. There are firms that are capable of manufacturing the Cool Cover with the following Standard Industrial Classification and North American Industrial Classification; SIC 3751, SIC 2399, NAICS 336991 and NAICS 314999.
