BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The invention is designed as an elongated Velcro or other self-hold/self-grip hair roller that would be utilized to quickly and easily create and hold the classic French twist hairstyle with any volume of hair that is medium length or longer.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

[0007] The invention would be manufactured as one long hair roller measuring approximately 5¾ inches in length with a top and bottom opening approximately 1 inch in diameter and a total diameter of approximately 1.375 inches for an average user. A frame of lightweight plastic (or similar material) with an airflow design is covered with Velcro material of split nylon hook pincettes or any other hair self-hold/self-grip material, similar to the composition of hair rollers that are widely available for the setting of hair.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The invention is an elongated version of a soft, flexible, lightweight Velcro or other self-hold/self-grip hair roller, which has a 1 inch inside diameter, in a color that blends with an average woman's hair. The diameter could be modified to accommodate other users, e.g., someone with very long and/or voluminous hair. It is designed in such a way as to create a specific hairstyle, i.e., the French twist, and it remains in the hair in order to maintain the style.

[0009] After the sides of medium length or longer hair are brushed back and gathered, the invention is pressed gently into the end of this hair in order to grab it with its exterior surface. The hair is then twisted/rolled around the invention lengthwise to the scalp while being grabbed by the exterior material to create the classic French twist. The roller is left in place and held with hairpins inserted through the open top and/or bottom.

Claims

1. The roller enables the user to quickly and easily create the classic French twist hairstyle by its design and exterior surface, which prevents slippage of the device when twisting/rolling the hair.

2. The leave-in roller compensates for hair length and/or volume, if necessary, by creating fullness in the twist itself, allowing for more widespread usage.

3. The roller is held in place by the exterior material and hairpins inserted in the top and/or bottom opening.
