Abstract

“Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner”, improves the usefulness of the “Scrusher” boot brush by spraying streams of water at certain angles under the sole of the shoe or boot & into the side brushes of the “Scrusher”. “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner” is to he used outdoors where a standard garden hose is attached to the hose fitting on “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner” assembly. By turning water hose on mud & other debris can easily be cleaned from the soles & sides of boots & shoes, it also keeps the brushes of the “Scrusher” free of mud & dirt, which is not attainable with the “Scrusher” alone. However, it is not limited to being used under the Scrusher. The “Greelymans let Stream Sole Cleaner” may be used under any brush configuration that will fit over it

BACKGROUND FIELD OF INVENTION

[0001] Cleaning of Muddy Boots.

[0002] I have many times looked at the “Scrusher” & other boot brushes but never bought one because they plug up with mud when you try to clean mud off of boots. One day after working outside in the mud, I had an idea of making a tube with water jets in it to mount under the “Scrusher”, with the idea that with the proper angle and jet size, the water would wash the mud out of the sole of the boot as well as keep the brushes of the “Scrusher” clean. I went and bought a “Scrusher” and experimented with different tubes to find the optimum angle, jet size and number of jets needed to make this idea work. After several months of experimentation I found the right combination to make it work the way I had envisioned. The result is what I call the “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner”. It is designed to work in conjunction with the “Scrusher” boot brush model SB-M1, made by Chaseburg Mfg. & modified with rubber splash guards, by Greely Mfg. The “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner”, is to be mounted under the “Scrusher” on a grating, patio, walkway or on a wood deck, providing cleaning of the soles of boots & shoes, it also keeps the brushes of the “Scrusher” free of mud & dirt. However, it is not limited to being used under the Scrusher. The “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner” may be used under any brush configuration that will fit over it.

[0003] The manufacturing of the “Greelymans let Stream Sole Cleaner” jet block is done by machining a piece of aluminum billet, to the specifications of drawings or 3D CAD file of the “Greelymans let Stream Sole Cleaner” jet block. “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner” can also be made from injection molded plastic into a tube style configuration, using the same sizes, angles, heights & location of the jet orifices as seen in drawing #4.

[0004] “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner” assembly, is designed to improve the usefulness & work in conjunction with the “Scrusher” boot cleaner made by Chaseburg Mfg. The “Greelymans let Stream Sole Cleaner” assembly, is to be mounted under the “Scrusher” to a grating, deck, porch or other hard surface, outdoors where a standard garden hose is attached to the hose fitting on “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner” assembly. By turning water hose on, mud & other debris can easily be cleaned from Boots before entering any type of building or vehicle The design of the “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner” jet block provides cleaning of the soles of boots & shoes it also keeps the brushes of the “Scrusher” free of mud & dirt, which is a great improvement to the “Scrusher”.

[0019] Mount “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner” assembly & the “Scrusher” to a grate, deck, porch or other hard surface, attach a standard garden hose to the hose fitting on “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner”. Open water faucet all the way, sweep foot with dirty boot forward & backward in Greelymans “Greelymans Jet Stream Sole Cleaner” turn toe & heel into side brushes until mud is removed & boot is clean. Turn off water faucet when done.
