Concealed base supporting structure of a server cabinet with characteristics of extension, shock proof and tilt proof

A extendable concealed base supporting structure with shock and tilt proof characteristics for a server cabinet comprises a server cabinet, castors and jacking feet. The feature of the present invention is an auxiliary stand disposed on the jacking foot at each corner. When the internet server computer needs reinstallation or maintenance, and has to be pulled out from the container, the concealed auxiliary stands at the server cabinet base can be pulled and extended from sides of the container using the jacking feet as the axis. Moreover, the auxiliary jacking feet under the cross arm of the auxiliary stand is adjustable to provide support from the ground according to the ground condition, which adds extra supporting point to the cabinet, adjusts the center of gravity and keeps the balance of the server cabinet.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1) Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a concealed base supporting structure of a server cabinet with characteristics of extension, shock proof and tilt proof, more particularly a leveling foot. In situations that an internet server computer has to be pulled out from the container, such as reinstallation, maintenance, or adding new equipment, the leveling feet can be extended from the front side of the server cabinet base and provide support from the ground. Hence the center of gravity of the server cabinet is stabilized, balance of the server cabinet is also kept, support is enhanced, and furthermore the effects of shock proof and tilt proof are achieved.

[0003] 2) Description of the Prior Art

[0004] The conventional supporting structure for a server cabinet, as shown in FIG. 5, comprises a server cabinet (a), castors (c) and jacking feet (d).

[0005] The front of the server cabinet (a) herein disposes a container (a2). Castors (c) are disposed on four corners of the base (a1) of the server cabinet (a), wherein, additionally, jacking feet (d) are also installed.

[0006] As mentioned above, after positioning an internet server computer (b) in the container (a2) of the server cabinet (a), the cabinet (a) can be moved to a set location by castors (c), and the jacking feet (d) are adjusted to provide support from the ground. Therefore the base (a1) of the server cabinet (a) are supported, and the server cabinet (a) is anchored, which prevent the damage caused by distortion of castors (c) due to long-term pressure on the same supporting area after the server cabinet (a) being anchored.

[0007] In practice, jacking feet (d) of such industrial server cabinet supporting structure are disposed under the server cabinet (a) thereby providing vertical support from the bottom of the server cabinet (a), which supports the weight of the cabinet (a) and the internet server computer (b). However, when the internet server computer (b) needs reinstallation, maintenance or extra equipments, partial main body of the internet server computer (b) has to be pulled out from the container (a2) of the server cabinet (a) to facilitate inspection and organizing of the internet server computer (b). This action moves the center of gravity of the entire server cabinet (a) forward. The jacking feet (d) under the server cabinet (a) thus unable to support the weight of the server cabinet (a) completely, so the server cabinet (a) loses the balance and subsequently falls down.

[0008] The inventor has years of experience in the development and practice in this industry. In order to solve the problem of the conventional industrial server cabinet supporting structure, the inventor has finally develop a modification for the industrial server supporting structure.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0009] A concealed base supporting structure of a server cabinet with characteristics of extension, shock proof and tilt proof, comprises a server cabinet, castors and jacking feet. A container is disposed in the front of the server cabinet herein. Jacking feet and castors are installed respectively on four corners of the server cabinet base.

[0010] The characteristic of the present invention is that an auxiliary stand is installed on the jacking foot at each corner of the server cabinet base. The auxiliary stand comprises a cross arm, a sleeve and an auxiliary jacking foot. The cross arm thereof is a horizontal appliance located along the front side of the server cabinet base, which has a connection end and external end. The connection end of the cross arm attaches to the front corner of the server cabinet base. a sleeve is inserted into the cross arm herein. The jacking foot passes through the sleeve and a gasket, and then screws to the server cabinet base. An auxiliary jacking foot is disposed on the external end of the cross arm.

[0011] As mentioned above, the internet server computer is installed in the container of the sever cabinet which is moved to a set location by castors. The jacking feet then are adjusted to reach the ground. When the internet server computer requires maintenance, reinstallation or adding extra equipments, partial main body of the internet server computer has to be pulled out from the container. This action moves the center of gravity forward. Meanwhile, the cross arms of the auxiliary stands concealed in the front of the server cabinet base are extended from two side of the cabinet container. The auxiliary jacking feet under the cross arms can be adjusted according to the ground condition to provide support, which balances the server cabinet, stabilizes the center of gravity, enhances support, and therefore has effects of shock and tilt proof.

[0012] Hence, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a modification for the conventional structure. Two auxiliary stands are installed respectively on the jacking feet at the front corners of the server cabinet base and concealed herein. When the internet server computer requires maintenance, reinstallation or adding extra equipments, the concealed auxiliary stands under the cabinet base can be pulled out and extended from the lateral sides of the container before partial main body of the server being pulled out. Moreover, the auxiliary jacking foot can be adjusted according to the ground condition, so it can provide support from the ground thereby adding extra supporting point to the server cabinet, adjusting the center of gravity and keeping balance. Therefore, the present invention has the effects of stabilization, support enhancement, shock proof and tilt proof.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0019] Referring to FIG. 1, the present invention comprises a server cabinet (1), castors (3) and jacking feet (4). A container (12) is disposed in the front of the server cabinet (1), where an internet server computer (2) can be disposed. Jacking feet (4) and castors (3) are disposed on four corners of the base (11) of the server cabinet (1).

[0020] The characteristics of the present invention are that an auxiliary stand (5) is disposed on each jacking foot (4) at front corners of the server cabinet (1) base (11). Both auxiliary stands (5) comprise a gasket (51), a cross arm (52), a sleeve (53), a wing-shaped holding piece (54) and an auxiliary jacking foot (55).

[0021] Said gasket (51) is disposed on a front corner of the server cabinet (1) base (11). The cross arm (52), disposed horizontally along the front side of the server cabinet (1) base (11), comprises a connection end (521) and an external end (522). The connection end (521) thereof locates under the gasket (51) at the front corner of the server cabinet (1) base (11); a sleeve (53) is inserted in the cross arm (52) herein. Thereby a jacking foot (4) is inserted through the sleeve (53) and gasket (51) from under and locked in the server cabinet (1) base (11). An auxiliary jacking foot (55) is inserted through the external end (522) of the cross arm (52), wherein a handle piece (56) is installed. Using the jacking foot (4) as the axis, the handle piece (56) is pulled to rotate the cross arm (52). The distal part of the gasket (51) retains a wing-shaped holding piece (54) in contact with the cross arm (52). The wing-shaped holding piece (54) includes a wide wing (541) and a narrow wing (542). The wide wing (541) is fixed to the inner side of the gasket (51), whereas the narrow wing (542) to the outer side, which restrains the rotation of the cross arm (52) within the range of 90 degrees, as shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3.

[0022] In application, the internet server computer (2) is disposed in the container (12) of the server cabinet (1). The server cabinet (1) is moved to a set location by castors (3), and the jacking feet (4) are adjusted to reach the ground. When the internet server computer (2) needs maintenance, reinstallation, or adding equipments and thus part of its main body has to be pulled out, the cross arms (52) of the auxiliary stands (5) located in the front of the server cabinet (1) base (11) can be pulled by using the jacking foot (4) as the axis, and thereby the auxiliary jacking feet (55) under the cross arms (52) can be adjusted according to the ground condition to provide support from the ground. This adds extra support points to the server cabinet (1). Moreover, it adjusts the center of gravity of the server cabinet (1) and keeps balance, as shown in FIG. 3. Therefore, the present invention has the effects of stabilizing the center of gravity, enhancing support, and prevents the server cabinet (1) from shaking, gliding, and tilting.

Claims

1. A concealed base supporting structure of a server cabinet with characteristics of extension, shock proof, and tilt proof, comprises a server cabinet, castors and jacking feet; a container thereof is disposed in the front of the server cabinet; said castors and jacking feet are disposed respectively on four corners of the server cabinet base, which is characterized that an auxiliary stand is installed on each jacking foot at the front corners of the server cabinet base comprising a cross arm, a sleeve and a auxiliary jacking foot; said cross arm has a connection end and an external end; said connection end is fixed to one side of the front of the cabinet base; a sleeve is inserted through the cross arm herein; said jacking foot penetrates through the sleeve from under and locks to the cabinet base; an auxiliary jacking foot is inserted to the external end of the cross arm from under.

A concealed base supporting structure of a server cabinet with characteristics of extension, shock proof, and tilt proof of claim 1, wherein a wing-shaped holding piece is in contact with to the connection end of the cross arm at each corner of the front of the server cabinet base; said wing-shaped holding piece comprises a narrow wing, Which help to limit the rotation of the cross arm within the range of 90 degrees.

A concealed base supporting structure of a server cabinet with characteristics of extension, shock proof, and tilt proof of claim 1, wherein a handle piece is disposed on the external end of each cross arm; the cross arm can be rotated by pulling the handle piece using the jacking foot as the axis.
