Bedding storage container

A bedding storage container for decoratively displaying bedding when it is not in use is essential for a user who has limited storage space. The present invention allows a user to store colorful bedding, possibly containing various scenes, designs, a person's likeness, or an animal's likeness in a transparent container that can be stored on a shelf, table, or the floor instead of inside a closet or under a bed. The bedding is kept neatly inside the transparent container until the user wants to use the bedding therein. Unlike bedding storage containers available currently with the purchase of some bedding, the container of the present invention is durable and intended to be displayed.

[0006] The invention may also include various decorative bedding. There are, of course, additional features of the invention that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims attached.

[0007] Numerous objects, features and advantages of the present invention will be readily apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art upon a reading of the following detailed description of presently preferred, but nonetheless illustrative, embodiments of the present invention when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. In this respect, before explaining the current embodiment of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of descriptions and should not be regarded as limiting.

[0008] As such, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the conception, upon which this disclosure is based, may readily be utilized as a basis for the designing of other structures, methods and systems for carrying out the several purposes of the present invention. It is important, therefore, that the claims be regarded as including such equivalent constructions insofar as they do not depart from the spirit and scope of the present invention.

[0009] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a new and improved bedding storage container that has all of the advantages of the prior art bedding storage containers and none of the disadvantages.

[0010] It is another object of the present invention to provide a new and improved bedding storage container that may be easily and efficiently manufactured and marketed.

[0011] An even further object of the present invention is to provide a new and improved bedding storage container that has a low cost of manufacture with regard to both materials and labor, and which accordingly is then susceptible of low prices of sale to the consuming public, thereby making such bedding storage container economically available to the buying public.

[0012] Still another object of the present invention is to provide a new bedding storage container that provides in the apparatuses and methods of the prior art some of the advantages thereof, while simultaneously overcoming some of the disadvantages normally associated therewith.

[0013] Even still another object of the present invention is to provide a bedding storage container for displaying bedding in a decorative manner while it is in storage for later use. This allows a user to store colorful bedding, possibly containing various scenes, in a transparent container that can be stored on a shelf, table, or the floor instead of inside a closet or under a bed. The bedding is kept neatly inside the transparent container until the user wants to use the bedding therein. Unlike bedding storage containers available currently with the purchase of some bedding, the container of the present invention is durable and intended to be displayed.

[0014] These together with other objects of the invention, along with the various features of novelty that characterize the invention, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure. For a better understanding of the invention, its operating advantages and the specific objects attained by its uses, reference should be had to the accompanying drawings and descriptive matter in which there are illustrated preferred embodiments of the invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0015] The invention will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

[0016] FIG. 1 is a side view of the preferred embodiment of the bedding storage container constructed in accordance with the principles of the present invention.

[0017] FIG. 2 is a front view of the bedding storage container of the present invention.

[0018] The same reference numerals refer to the same parts throughout the various figures.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0019] Referring now to the drawings, and particularly to FIGS. 1-2, a preferred embodiment of the bedding storage container of the present invention is shown and generally designated by the reference numeral 10.

[0020] In FIG. 1, a new and improved bedding storage container 10 of the present invention for decoratively displaying bedding is illustrated and will be described. More particularly, the, bedding storage container 10 has a rounded unit 12 having an outer flap 14, a fastener 16 which connects the flap 14 to the unit 12, and bedding 18. In FIG. 1, the rounded unit 12 is transparent. The rounded unit 12 can be made of plastic or glass.

[0021] FIG. 2 shows the fastener 16 of the present invention. The fastener 16 can be a snap, Velcro, a hook and eye closure or a tie closure.

[0022] The bedding 18 of the present invention can include sheets, bedspreads, bed ruffles, pillow shams, or duvets. The rounded unit 12 is a size relative to its contents. The bedding 18 can depict scenery, various designs, a person's likeness, an animal's likeness or be various colors. The bedding 18 is operable to be rolled to fit inside the rounded unit while displaying the scenery.

[0023] While a preferred embodiment of the bedding storage container has been described in detail, it should be apparent that modifications and variations thereto are possible, all of which fall within the true spirit and scope of the invention. With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention. For example, any suitable sturdy material such as glass or plastic may be used. And although decoratively displaying bedding have been described, it should be appreciated that the bedding storage container herein described is also suitable for storing clothing. Furthermore, a wide variety of bedding may be used instead of the colorful or scenic bedding described.

[0024] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
