Female urinary assistance device

Abstract

A female urinary assistance device being handheld in size and application, and conical in shape. The conical device being comprised of a paper pulp or suitable material is thin walled and stiff in nature. The conical device is open at both ends with a slight concaveness to the edge of the wide end sides and is treated with a chemical to as not transfer moisture when in use. The conical device being hydrodegradeable when immersed in liquid has a sanitary tissue wipe attached at the apex of the crown of one side of the wide end.

Description

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND AND BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] This invention relates generally to personal sanitation products for human beings, and more particularly, pertains to a more sanitary means for female human beings in the facilitation of urination through the use of a hydrodegradeable, hand held open-ended conical device.

[0002] In recent history the typical means of facilitating urination for female human beings has been sitting on a toilet and the use of toilet paper in assisting in personal hygiene. It has been widely known that this means of facilitation though sufficient in accomodation, tends to, by its' very design through repetetive use, be a incubator and transmitter of microbes—not only on the toilet seat but also the toilet paper roll. It is well known to combat the microbial accumulation on the toilet seat and subsequent transmission, by repeated cleansing with chemical disinfectant. It is also well known to provide (in commercial installations) a seat shaped hydrodegradeable tissue for single time use. To combat microbial transmission in public facilities it is well known to house the toilet paper in a metal or plastic container.

[0003] While such remedations have been generally accepted by the public, effectiveness in reducing microbial transmission has been limited, there remains a need for a more effective means of reducing microbial transmission that is reasonable in cost, and easy to use, to assist females in sanitary urination. It is desireable to totally eliminate contact with the toilet seat and toilet paper by allowing a female to stand (while urinating) and be assisted with a one time use hydrodegradeable, hand held, open-ended conical device. It is also desireable to make stated device universal in size and with a contour at the wide end to conform to the female anatomy. Moreover, it is desireable to make the wall of stated conical device thin in profile and constructed to as not transfer moisture through itself in a short period of time. Furthermore, it is desireable to provide stated conical device with an attached sanitary wipe at a portion of the wide end.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The inventive female urinary assistance device advantageously provides a relatively simple, economical means of avoiding contact with the toilet seat and toilet paper—when used. The device is of a hand held size, thin walled and a modified conical shape with aperatures at both ends. The device being of a flushable composition contemplates both an attached sanitary wipe, and an unattached sanitary wipe.

[0005] These and other aspects of the invention are realized in a hand held female urinary assistance device consisting of a modified conical shaped sheet assembly with both ends of the cone being open. The wall of the cone is thin in demension and of a hydrodegradeable composition i/e flexable and compressable upon contact with liquid, although the wall is of the design to as not transfer moisture from the interior surface to the exterior surface in a short period of time. One version contemplates the wall of the cone consisting of a stiff paper or suitable material with a chemical surface treatment applied to the interior of the cone, stated chemical having the property of water resistance and or repelency. Another version contemplates the chemical surfactant being applied to the exterior. Yet another version contemplates the cone wall consisting of multiple plys and of a paper or suitable material with one of the plys containing the afore mentioned chemical properties. All versions contemplate a modified edge at the wide end of the cone that is slightly concave along the sides then increases to a shallow radiused crown at the fore and aft, with the apex of the crown being centered at both positions. In all afore mentioned versions one variation contemplates a hydrodegradeable sanitary tissue wipe attached at the apex of the rear crown of the wide end.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0012] Referring now to the drawings and, in particular all FIGS. except FIG. 4 the female urinary assistance device of the present invention is a hand held universally sized hydrodegradeable conical sheet assembly 10 being comprised of a hard paper, cellulose, protein, or any other suitable material and being treated with a water repellant chemical on the interior surface. The narrow end of the device 11 is open as is the wide end of the device 12. The wide end of the device 12 is contoured with slightly concave sides then rise to a slight radiused crown at the front and back with the apex 14 being centered at both positions. At one of these apexes 14 (rear apex and crown) a sanitary tissue wipe 13 is attached, this element is of a hydrodegradeable composition and is depicted in all FIGS. except FIGS. 5 and 6. FIG. 4 is a contour line drawing viewed from the side of a “in use” setting depicting a woman 18, a toilet 19, and a female urinary assistance device 20 embodying the present invention and described in FIGS. 1-3. FIGS. 5 and 6 are depictions viewed from the side of female urinary assistance devices embodying the present invention and contemplating the use of a separate unattached sanitary wipe. FIGS. 6 and 7 are versions embodying the present invention and containing the predescribed embodiments with the addition of a bend 15 in the cone 10 in the up position in the lower sector, FIG. 7 contains the element of a hydrodegradeable sanitary tissue wipe 13 attached at the apex 14 of rear crown of the wide end 12.

[0013] While the invention has been described with reference to a preferred embodiment, those skilled in the art will appreciate that certain substitutions, omissions, or alterations may be injected, implemented, or instituted without departing from the spirit thereof.

Claims

1. A female urinary assistance device comprising:

a conical shaped handheld assembly with aperatures at both ends:

said female urinary assistance device being formed to be universal in size and application; and

means of use defined as the wide aperature end of the cone manipulated tight to the female users anatomy.

2. The female urinary assistance device of claim 1, wherein said conical shape is open at both ends, and the wide end is slightly concave along the side walls edge then increases to a slight crown at the front and back with the apex of the crown being centered at both positions.

3. The female urinary assistance device of claim 1, wherein the wall of said cone is stiff yet flexible, and thin in nature.

4. The female urinary assistance device of claim 1, wherein the wall of the cone is treated with a chemical, said chemical having the property of water repelency for a short period of time and being applied to either the interior or exterior surface or applied to the center of the wall.

5. The female urinary assistance device of claim 1, where in stated cone wall is hydrodegradeable.

6. The female urinary assistance device of claim 2, wherein a sanitary wipe is attached at the apex of the crown on one side of the wide end.

7. The female urinary assistance device of claim 1, and claim 6, wherein a slight bend exists in the lower sector of the cone.

8. The female urinary assistance device of claim 6, 1, 7, wherein stated sanitary wipe is hydrodegradeable.
