Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] This invention relates generally to the field of locks and restraints, and to be more specific, a whole new field, that needs the locking capabilities designed into the “Alcoloc”.

[0002] There is no existing technology for the invention that we propose. However, history begins with us today. Our product will solve a major problem that has plagued our society since prohibition. Statistical data tells us that children are experimenting with alcohol at the alarming young age of 13 years old. Tougher laws on the purchasing and selling of liquor have not been very effective in keeping it away from our children. Unfortunately, we are our own worst enemy in this struggle, providing an easy source of liquor, to our kids, right in our own homes.

[0003] Since history starts today with our technology, priors are non existent!

[0004] Since there is no existing technology, the deficiency lies in the lack thereof.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The two main objectives of the Alcoloc, are as follows:

[0006] Performing the functions necessary for locking the top of a liquor bottle, which consequently make it's contents inaccessible to our children, roommates, and all other uninvited servers.

[0007] “WE LOCK OUT TEMPTATION, AND LOCK IN PIECE OF MIND”

[0008] To achieve our slogans expectations successfully is our hope. It is our vision, to reduce the level of temptation that accessible quantities of liquor delivers into the impressionable minds of our children. By achieving the first, we deliver the second. Piece of mind comes to those who take every step within their means to protect their loved ones. Were not just selling a mechanical device, we're selling piece of mind as well, and you can't put a price on that.

[0009] Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following descriptions, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, wherein, by way of illustration and example, an embodiment of the present invention is disclosed.

[0010] The Alcoloc was invented to perform a function that has never been purchasable. It is a self adjusting lock that will conform to the radius of almost any bottle. Used in conjunction with the cap cover, a bottles contents become unattainable. In a preferred embodiment the Alcoloc will be used in all homes where children and liquor are cohabitants. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of millions of households across this country where this is true. This is a lethal combination, and the numbers concerning minors and alcohol related traffic deaths are staggering. When considering these facts, with the many millions of homes in desperate need of the Alcoloc, it's easy to see that there are millions of orders, for the Alcoloc, just sitting there waiting to be filled.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0011] The drawings constitute a part of this specification and include exemplary embodiments to the invention, which may be embodied in various forms. It is to be understood that in some instances various aspects of the invention may be shown exaggerated or enlarged to facilitate an understanding of the invention.

[0012] FIGS. A-J are a perspective view of the primary elements and other related components of the invention, “THE ALCOLOC”.

[0013] A) Horizontal openings where the curved feet enter the cap and grab the bottle.

[0014] B) Part 1—The Cap Cover

[0015] C) Part 2—The Male End of Lock

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0022] Detailed descriptions of the preferred embodiment are provided herein. It is to be understood, however, that the present invention may be embodied in various forms. Therefore, specific details disclosed herein are not to be interpreted as limiting, but rather as a basis for the claims and as a representative basis for teaching one skilled in the art to employ the present invention in virtually any appropriately detailed system, structure or manner.

[0023] At first glance, you may see a resemblance of a common padlock. But, this is a lock, that has been designed for the specific purpose locking a liquor bottle. The unit proposed is self adjusting, thanks to a dual spring, dual ratcheting locking mechanism. {Not shown in detail}

[0024] Refer To Last Page For Drawings:

[0025] To use the Alcoloc, you simply place part 1 (FIG. B) on the target bottle, then grab part 2 (Fig. C) and guide the stems (FIG. D) into the receiver shafts in part 3 (FIG. F) grab the combined unit (FIG. J) and guide the curved feet from part 2&3 (FIG. E) through the horizontal openings in part 1 (FIG. A) . Now push parts 2&3 toward each other, while they automatically tighten around the bottle, lock in place under the lip, and secure it's contents. To release just enter combination or key, (to be determined in final phase of development by manufacturer) and pull part 2 away from part 3, and remove from bottle.

[0026] While the invention has been described in connection with a preferred embodiment, it is not intended to limit the scope of the invention to the particular form set forth, but on the contrary, it is intended to cover such alternatives, modifications, and equivalents as may be included within the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
