Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Technical Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a decorative zipper tab construction with an elastic string of high tension, particularly to one comprising an elastic element which, by way of an extrusion of the holding base, can be firmly covered inside of the decorative tab and thereby lasting the life of use of the zipper. In addition, the user may draw the zipper smoothly by simply pulling the decorative tab.

(b) Description of the Prior Art

Conventional zipper tab decorative structure as disclosed in R.O.C. Patent No. 340313 comprises an upper cover, a lower cover, and a strip conjuncted to and in-between said covers. The upper cover has a shape corresponding to that of the lower cover, while corresponding depressions and extrusions are properly distributed on the upper and lower covers. Said prior art is characterized in that: Supersonic welded plastic bars extrude from the center of the three edges of a cover, while a groove is provided at a portion adjacent to the end of each of the two covers for receiving the blunt head of a strip. A plurality of awl-shape pins are provided inside of one cover adjacent to the front end, whereas corresponding cushions are provided on another cover such that the blunt head of the strip, which is cut by way of heat scissors, can be received in the groove in-between the two covers. Said two covers are further processed by supersonic welder to integrally conjunct with each other and be sealed to fasten after being pierced into the zipper tab to form a zipper tab stamped with the trademark.

Although the above-mentioned zipper tab decorative structure can be seamed with the zipper tab and stamped with the trademark for advertisement purposes, said zipper tab decorative structure can be dismantled from the zipper tab after being conjunct therewith. In such a case, when the user inadvertently tear the decorative structure apart from the zipper tab, the zipper tab would never be used again. Accordingly, the utility of the conventional zipper tab decorative structure is very limited.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary object of the invention is to provide a decorative zipper tab construction with an elastic string of high tension which, by way of the extrusion of the holding base, can be firmly covered inside of the decorative tab and thereby lasting the life of use of the zipper.

Another object of the invention is to provide an improved decorative zipper tab construction, which comprises a holding base having an extrusion on the top, an elastic element mounted on the extrusion of the holding base. A locking device is provided at one end of the elastic element for holing both ends of the elastic string and making the string become a closed ring. The locking device mounted on the elastic element can be alternatively fastened by a string, adhesive or pin.

A decorative tab is disposed on the outer of the holding base for covering the holding base the elastic element by way of the extrusion of the holding base. Accordingly, the elastic element can be firmly covered inside of the decorative tab and thereby lasting the life of use of the zipper. In addition, the user may draw the zipper smoothly by simply pulling the decorative tab.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, the present invention is a decorative zipper tab construction with an elastic string of high tension, which comprises a holding base 1, an elastic element 2 and a decorative tab 3. The elastic element 2, by way of the holding base 1, can be filmy covered inside of the decorative tab 3. While the elastic element 2 with high tension can bear the pulling force, the life of use of the zipper tab can be lasted. In addition, the user may draw the zipper smoothly by simply pulling the decorative tab.

An extrusion 11 is provided at the center of the holding base 1 mentioned above.

The elastic element 2 can be an elastic string, and one end thereof is provided with a locking device 21, which has a holder 211 at each side for fastening to one end of the elastic element 2. Stopped at the edge of the locking device 21, the elastic element 2 can be mounted on the extrusion 11 of the holding base 1.

The decorative tab 3 is disposed on the outer of the holding base 1, such that the extrusion 11 of the holding base I and the locking device 21 of the elastic element 2 can be firmly covered in the decorative tab 3. The surface of the decorative tab 3 can be imprinted with scripts or trademark 31 when required. Accordingly to the above mentioned, an improved zipper tab is formed.

Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, the decorative tab 3 is formed after making a mold 4, which has an upper mold 41 and a lower mold 42 respectively having a receiving portion 411, 421. A graphic portion 43 is provided on the inner surface of the upper mold 41, while a sprue 44 passing through to the receiving portion 411, 421 is provided on one end of the mold 4. To cover the extrusion 11 of the holding base 1 and the locking device 21 of the elastic element 2 via the decorative tab 3, the holding base 1 is disposed in the receiving portion 421 of the lower mold 42, and then the locking device 21 of the elastic element 2 is mounted on the extrusion 11 of the holding base 1, such that the elastic element 2 can be stopped at the edge of the locking device 21 and fastened at the extrusion 11. After the upper mold 41 and the lower mold 42 are combined together, an appropriate plastic material is injected through the sprue 44 to the mold. A decorative tab 3 is formed after separating the upper mold 41 from the lower mold 42. Thereby, the extrusion 11 of the holding base 1 and the locking device 21 of the elastic element 2 can be covered inside of the decorative tab 3. In addition, required scripts or trademark 31 can be formed on the surface of the decorative tab 3 via the graphic portion 43.

After the present invention is mounted on a zipper tab (not shown) for use, the user can simply draw the decorative tab 3 to move the elastic element 2, and the zipper tab as well. Meanwhile, as the elastic element 2 is fastened to the extrusion 11 by the edge of the locking device 21, it can be firmly covered inside of the decorative tab 3 without departing from the elastic element 2 due to the pulling force of the user, thereby lasting the life of use of the decorative tab. In addition, the user may draw the zipper smoothly by simply pulling the decorative tab.

As the elastic element 2 covered by the decorative tab 3 can be an elastic string, when pulling the string, the combination portion A will become narrowed. However, due to the provision of the locking device 21 and the extrusion 11 inside of the decorative tab 3, the sting with high tension would not fall out.

Concluded the above, the present invention primarily relates to an elastic string which is combined to a locking device at the end thereof and fastened to an extrusion of a precasted holding base. After secondly injecting plastic material to form a decorative tab 3 to firmly and integrally combine with the holding base, the scripts or trademark can be imprinted on the surface of the decorative tab as desired. The invention may serve the purposes of utility, decoration and advertisement.

The above descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
