Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Technical Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to an improved structure of a lid of a toilet bowl, and more particularly, to one that allows safe use by children.

(b) Description of the Prior Art

Usually a seat cover and a lid are provided to a toilet generally available in a bathroom. An opening is provided in the seat cover to allow the user to sit on, while the lid is related to a whole piece that covers up the opening. However, the opening is in a size for adult and it becomes too large for the children to sit with comforts and thus presents the potential risks for a child to accidentally fall in the bowl. Therefore, another makeshift bowl or a stool is provided in the bathroom exclusively for the children. Accordingly, it is hard to maintain the bathroom in clean and the appearance of the bathroom is compromised while in practice it presents problems for the design and use of the bathroom.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide an improved lid of the toilet bowl that also allows a child to sit on comfortably and with safety simply by sitting on the lid. There will be no need for any additional stool or makeshift bowl exclusively for the children to use and the bathroom can be always maintained in clean and neat conditions. To achieve the purpose, an opening is provided at where appropriately on the lid (with the center of the opening preferred at approximately {fraction (2/3)} of the longer distance of the lid to its front when viewed standing in front of the lid). The shape of the opening may be circular in diameter of 19 cm; an oval, in size of 18×20 cm; a rectangular, in size of 19×20 cm; or a square, in size of 20×20 cm.

The foregoing object and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.

Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing a configuration of the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a schematic view showing another configuration of the present invention.

FIG. 3 is a view showing a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 4 is a view showing another preferred embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a lid 10 and a seat cover 20 are provided on a toilet bowl 1 with both of the lid 10 and the seat cover 20 can be lifted up depending on the use and the occasion. A larger opening 21 is defined by the seat cover 20 for an adult to use the toilet bowl by sitting on the seat cover. Another opening 11 in a size smaller than the opening 21 is provided on the lid 10 at where relatively to the opening 21. When a child wants to use the toilet bowl, he or she simply puts down the lid 10 and forthwith sit on the lid 10 without having to lift up the lid 10 and sit on the seat cover 20, thus to prevent the possible risk for a child to fall into the bowl while sitting on the seat cover 20.

Now referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, the opening 11 in the lid may be made in a circular shape in size of 19×19 cm preferred; or in an oval shape, 18×20 cm; or in a rectangular shape, 19×20 cm.

It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.

While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
