Food container having multiple strippable face layers

This food container is disclosed to have a container body and a plurality of strippable thin-film face layers, with the layers arranged in a stack and adhered to the container body. After one service of the food container, the uppermost of the strippable thin-film face layers is removed to reveal a clean inner surface, to be used for the next service.

Description
BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to food containers, and more particularly to such a food container that can be used repeatedly without washing.

Between services, regular food containers such as dishes, bowls, and cups must be cleaned with detergent and clean water and be dried by heating. This is time-consuming, environmentally costly, and unsanitary. Doing dishes is laborsome when trying to do it in a thorough manner, or else it is unsanitary. Also, since much detergent and clean water is used, it is environmentally costly. It is therefore desirable to provide a food container that eliminates the aforesaid problems.

The present invention has been accomplished under the above-mentioned circumstances in view. It is therefore the main objective of the present invention to provide a food container that can be used repeatedly without washing, and is environmentally sound.

To achieve this objective, the present invention provides a food container that is comprised of a container body and a plurality of strippable thin-film face layers.

The films has a bottom wall and a peripheral wall with the peripheral wall extending on the borders of the bottom wall, defining the bottom wall as a holding space. The films are arranged in a stack and adhered to the bottom wall of the container body, covering over the inner and outer surfaces of the peripheral wall. The strippable thin-film face layers' border portions are respectively covering over the outer surface of the peripheral wall of the container body, and are raised one behind another so that the strippable thin-film face layers can conveniently be removed from the container body one after another after each service of the food container. Therefore the food container can be used repeatedly without washing.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

FIG. 1 is a sectional plain view of a food container according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG. 1, a food container of the present invention is shown comprising of a container body 1, and a plurality of strippable thin-film face layers 2˜6. The container body 1 has a bottom wall 11 and a peripheral wall 12. The peripheral wall extends on the border area of the bottom wall 11.

The strippable thin-film face layers 2˜6 are arranged in a stack and adhered to the surface of the bottom wall 11, covering over the inner and outer surfaces of the peripheral wall 11. The strippable thin-film face layers 2˜6 have the respective border portions 21˜61 covering over the outer surface of the peripheral wall 12 of the container body 1, and are raised one behind another. After one service with the food container, the user can remove the uppermost strippable thin-film face layer 2 from the other strippable thin-film face layers 3˜6, and proceed to use the container for the next service. Therefore, the food container can be used repeatedly without washing.

The strippable thin-film face layers 2˜6 can be plastic films or pieces of fabric, and can be waterproof, non-toxic, and/or heat-resistant. The container body 1 can be made having the shape of a dish, bowl, cup, or others of the like, with the defined holding space 7 for holding foods. Furthermore, the strippable thin-film face layers 2˜6 can be of different colors and of different materials.

As indicated above, the invention has the following advantages:

1. The food container can be used repeatedly without washing.

2. The food container is more sanitary, as a new surface unveiled by removing a layer is always cleaner than a surface that has been used and washed.

3. Since the food container can be used repeatedly without washing, less water and less detergent are used in cleaning the containers, making it more environmentally sound.

While only one embodiment of the present invention has been shown and described, it will be understood that various modifications and changes could be made thereunto without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention disclosed.
