Dust cover with exchangable label emplacement for plug

A dust cover with a receptacle for exchangeably receiving a label is provided. The dust cover has a fixed portion, a flexible portion connecting to the fixed portion, and a moving portion connecting to the flexible portion and having a label emplacement. The flexible portion is bendy and connected between the fixed portion and the moving portion.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is related to a dust cover, and more particularly, to a dust cover having a receptacle for exchangeably receiving a label.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Internet equipments are broadly used in a modem office. The way to equip the internet equipments is usually to dispose the internet cable along the floor so as to make the environment neat and clean. Therefore, the cable socket is usually disposed on the lower part of the cubical wall in the office and near the floor. However, the floor almost always has the dust falling thereon, and the dust is easily to be stirred by foots. Therefore, the socket needs a dust cover to prevent the dust from flowing into the socket and resulting in a disconnection between the socket and the plug. Although the dust does not suddenly block the electrical connection between the socket and plug, it may interfere the transmission therebetween and decrease the quality of the network.

Furthermore, the internet equipments are also broadly used in a hotel room. The socket is usually disposed beside the dressing table or also near the floor. When the house cleaner cleans the room, the cleanser may be spattered into the socket and the metal terminal therein will be etched. Beside, the sockets in the ordinary residence are also disposed near the floor. So, the some problems still exist. Furthermore, a child usually has a curiosity to touch every thing he can touch, so the socket will be the object of his and the socket will be damaged by the child or the child will be hurt by the socket. On the other hand, the socket might become a nesting place of a laying spot for bugs or pests, which might damage the socket as well. For preventing those problems described above, usually a dust cover is disposed on the socket.

Please refer to FIG. 1. FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing a conventional dust cover. The dust cover 1 has a board 10 and two holders 11. The socket 2 has a body 20, two locking aperture 21, and a plugging hole 23. The function of the conventional dust cover 1 is very simple that the board 10 holds on the socket 2 through the connection between the holders 11 and the locking aperture 21. And the board 10 covers the plugging hole 23 and protects the socket 2 away from dust and pest.

However, the dust cover 1 in FIG. 1 still has drawback. That is, while once the dust cover 1 is removed, it is very easy to be lost owing to its small volume. Then it becomes necessary to buy a new dust cover 1.

Please refer to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3. FIGS. 2 and 3 are schematic views of another conventional dust cover. The dust cover 3 has the fixed portion 33, movable portion 30, a plurality of holders 31, and a protruding locker 32 with a incline 32a thereon. The protruding locker 32 is plugged into the slot 25 of the socket 2 and the incline 32a is engaged into the cavity 25a for holding the movable portion 30 covering the plugging hole 23. The biggest difference between the dust cover 3 and the dust cover 1 in FIG. 1 is that in the dust cover 3 of FIG. 3, the movable portion 30 and the fixed portion 33 is separated by the bending slot 35. Because the material at the bending slot 35 is thinner, when the external force applied to the movable portion 30, the dust cover 3 will be bended along the bending slot 35 and creates a bending line 37. Therefore, in FIG. 3, while the movable portion 30 is bended, the plugging hole 23 is uncovered and the connecting portion 40 of the plug 4 is inserted into the plugging hole 23, and the elastic plate 41 slides into the slot 25 for forming a combination between the combining incline 41a and the cavity 25a. Meanwhile, the fixed portion 33 is still fixed to the locking hole 21 of the socket 2. Therefore, there is no need to worry about that the dust cover 3 might be missing. When the plug 4 is pulled out of the socket 2, the movable portion 30 is moved back to cover the plugging hole 23.

Although the conventional dust cover 3 shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 is better in some ways, it still has some drawback needed to be improved. For identifying the socket, a label usually is disposed on the socket. In the past, a label is stuck around the socket. However, the label is unable to be moved together with the socket. Therefore, the most common way to label the socket is to stick the label 39a directly on the surface 39 of the dust cover 30. But it still has a drawback because the label 39a is not easily exchangeable or easily being torn down. Furthermore, the strength of the glue on the label 39a will gradually decrease till the label 39a falls after a period of time.

The above-mentioned disadvantages of the conventional dust cover needs to be resolved. So, it is desired to have a dust cover having a structure with an exchangeable label but without a paster label.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is an object of the present invention to provide a dust cover having a receptacle for exchangeably receiving a label.

According to an aspect to the present invention, a dust cover with a label includes: a fixed portion, a flexible portion connected to the fixed portion, a movable portion connected to the flexible portion, and a receptacle for exchangeably receiving therein the label, in which the receptacle is disposed on one of the fixed portion, the flexible portion and the movable portion.

In accordance with the present invention, the body further includes a fixing aperture for receiving therein a cable tie.

In accordance with the present invention, the receptacle is disposed between the fixed portion and the movable portion.

Preferably, the fixed portion further has a fixing block.

Preferably, the moving portion has a protruding element.

Preferably, the receptacle further comprises a slot.

Preferably, wherein the receptacle further has a stopper.

According to another aspect to the present invention, a dust cover with a label, includes a fixed portion having a first pivotal join portion, and a movable portion having a second pivotal join portion pivotally connected to the first pivotal join portion and having a receptacle for exchangeably receiving therein the label.

Preferably, the fixed portion further has a fixing block.

Preferably, the movable portion has a protruding element.

Preferably, the receptacle further comprises a slot.

Preferably, the receptacle further has a stopper.

According to another aspect to the present invention, a dust cover, includes a receptacle for exchangeably receiving a label therein and a flexible portion for the dust cover to bend therealong.

Preferably, the flexible portion further has a first portion having a fixing block.

Preferably, the flexible portion further has a second portion having a protruding element.

Preferably, the receptacle further includes a slot.

Preferably, the receptacle further has a stopper.

According to yet another aspect to the present invention, a socket having a dust cover with a label includes: a body, and a connecting portion connected to the body, the dust cover is connected to the connecting portion and has a label receptacle for receiving therein the label.

Preferably, the connecting portion is bendable, thereby the dust cover being flexible moved.

Preferably, the connecting portion, the body, and the dust cover are formed integratedly.

Preferably, the connecting portion is a pivotal joining portion.

Preferably, the dust cover further has a protruding element.

Preferably, the receptacle further includes a slot.

Preferably, the receptacle further has a stopper.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The present invention will now be described more specifically with reference to the following embodiments. It is to be noted that the following descriptions of preferred embodiments of the invention are presented herein for purpose of illustration and description only; it is not intended to be exhaustive or to be limited to the precise form disclosed.

The present invention will now be described more specifically with reference to the following embodiments. Please refer to FIG. 4-1 and FIG. 4-2. FIG. 4-1 is a front view and FIG. 4-2 is a back view, showing the dust cover according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The dust cover 5 includes a fixed portion 53 and a movable portion 50. The flexible portion 57 connects the fixed portion 53 with the movable portion 50. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 4-1 and FIG. 4-2, the flexible portion 57 is defined by the recess slot 55 and formed integrally with the fixed portion 53 and the movable portion 50. According to FIG. 4-2, the recess slot 55 is formed and being recess towards three directions, two lateral sides. Because the thickness of the recess slot 55 is relatively much thinner than the thickness of the fixed portion 53 and the movable portion 50, when the external force applied to the movable portion 50, the flexible portion 57 will be bended. Therefore, the plugging hole is uncovered (please refer to FIG. 3). According to the FIG. 4-1, the present invention further has a receptacle 59 for exchangeablely receiving the label therein. Accordingly, the label can be easily replaced by being drawn out from the receptacle 59. And the drawback in the conventional dust cover that the label is easily torn down can be avoided.

Please refer to FIG. 4-2. The fixed portion 53 further has a fixing block 51 for fixing the fixed portion 53 on the socket 2 (FIG. 3). Furthermore, the movable portion 50 has a protruding element 52 for being inserted into the plugging hole 23 (FIG. 3) so as to keep the movable portion 50 firmly covering the plugging hole 23 and avoiding the dust.

Please refer to FIG. 4-1. The receptacle 59 has a insertion slot 54 for the label 59a being inserted therein. Furthermore, for preventing the label 59a from slipping out from the receptacle 59 accidentally, a stopper 56 is disposed corresponding to the opening of the insertion slot 54. Therefore, the label 59a will not fall off from the receptacle 59 by accidental external force.

Please refer to FIG. 4-3 and FIG. 4-4. FIG. 4-3 is a side view fo the dust cover according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. And FIG. 4-4 is a top view of the dust cover according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The fixing block 51 and the protruding element 52 are disposed at the back of the dust cover 5 and the receptacle 59 is disposed in front of the dust cover 5. The flexible portion 57 formed by the recess slot 55 connects the fixed portion 53 with the movable portion 50. One side of the stopper 56, which faces to the receptacle 59, is inclined or an arc for the label 59a easily drawn out by a conscious external force.

Please refer to FIG. 5. FIG. 5 is a schematic view showing the dust cover combined with the socket according to the present invention. The socket 2 has a fixing aperture 21′ for fixed the fixing block 51 of the dust cover 5 therein. Certainly, the fixing block 51 can be as same as the holders 31 of the FIG. 2, and the fixing aperture 21′ also can be as same as the locking hole 21 of the FIG. 2. Furthermore, the fixed portion 53 can be stuck, screwed, or welded by the high frequency welding machine when being fixed engaged with the socket 2.

Please refer to FIG. 6. FIG. 6 is a schematic view showing the dust cover according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention. The fixed portion 53 has a first pivotal join portion 53′, while the movable portion 50 has a second pivotal join portion 55′ pivotally connected to the first pivotal join portion 53′ through a shaft 57′. Therefore, the first pivotal join portion 53′, the second pivotal join portion 55′ and the shaft 57′ have the same functions as the flexible portion 57 described above, and further, the possible breakage near the flexible portion 57 shown in FIG. 5 can be avoided.

Please refer to FIG. 7. FIG. 7 is a schematic view showing the dust cover according to yet another preferred embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 7 shows that a socket 6 having a dust cover 50′ thereon. The dust cover 50′ is formed integrally with the body 60 of the socket 6. The socket 6 has a plugging hole 66 for the plug 4 (FIG. 3) plugged therein so as to form an electrical connection. A slot 64 is disposed in the plugging hole 66 and has a cavity 64a for being engaged with the incline 41a. The dust cover 50′ is connected to the body 60 through the connecting portion 57a. The connecting portion 57a is bendable and the thickness thereof is much thinner than the dust cover 50′. Therefore, when the external force is applied, the dust cover 50′ will move flexibly away from the plugging hole 66. The dust cover 50′ also has the receptacle 59 as shown in FIG. 4-1.

Please refer to FIG. 8. FIG. 8 is a schematic view showing the dust cover according to still another preferred embodiment of the present invention. The socket 7 has a dust cover 50″ directly pivotally connected with the body 70 of the socket 7, but not through the fixed portion 53 as shown in FIG. 6. The body 70 has a pivotal join portion 72 pivotally connected to the shaft 71a of the dust cover 50″. The socket 7 also has the slot 64 and the cavity 64a disposed therein as shown in FIG. 7. The usage of the pivotal join portion 72 is to prevent the possible breakage near the connecting portion 57a. The dust cover 50″ also has the receptacle 59 as shown in FIG. 4-1.

Therefore, it is clear that the receptacle which exchangeablely receives the label therein makes the label exchanging easy and avoid the drawbacks of using the paster label 39a (FIG. 3). And the motion mechanism of the movable portion is achieved by the bendable connecting portion or the pivotal join mechanism. Furthermore, the dust cover is able to be formed integrally with the socket and the process of connecting the socket and the dust cover is spared. Thus the efficacy of the dust cover is increased.

While the invention has been described in terms of what is presently considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention needs not be limited to the disclosed embodiments. On the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the appended claims which are to be accorded with the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar structures.

Claims

1. A dust cover with a label, comprising:

a fixed portion;
a flexible portion connected to said fixed portion;
a movable portion connected to said flexible portion; and
a receptacle for exchangeably receiving therein said label,
wherein said receptacle is disposed on one of said fixed portion, said flexible portion, or said movable portion.

2. The dust cover according to claim 1, wherein said receptacle is disposed between said fixed portion and said movable portion.

3. The dust cover according to claim 1, wherein said fixed portion further has a fixing block.

4. The dust cover according to claim 1, wherein said moving portion has a protruding element.

5. The dust cover according to claim 1, wherein said receptacle further comprises a slot.

6. The dust cover according to claim 1, wherein said receptacle further has a stopper.

7. A dust cover with a label, comprising:

a fixed portion having a first pivotal join portion; and
a movable portion having a second pivotal join portion pivotally connected to said first pivotal join portion and having a receptacle for exchangeably receiving therein said label.

8. The dust cover according to claim 7, wherein said fixed portion further has a fixing block.

9. The dust cover according to claim 7, wherein said movable portion has a protruding element.

10. The dust cover according to claim 7, wherein said receptacle further comprises a slot.

11. The dust cover according to claim 7, wherein said receptacle further has a stopper.

12. A dust cover comprising a receptacle for exchangeably receiving a label therein and a flexible portion for said dust cover to bend therealong.

13. The dust cover according to claim 12, wherein said flexible portion further has a first portion having a fixing block.

14. A socket having a dust cover with a label, comprising:

a body; and
a connecting portion connected to said body,
wherein said dust cover is connected to said connecting portion and has a label receptacle for receiving therein said label.

15. The socket according to the claim 14, wherein said connecting portion is bendable, thereby said dust cover being flexible moved.

16. The socket according to claim 14, wherein said connecting portion, said body, and said dust cover are formed integrally.

17. The socket according to claim 14, wherein said connecting portion is a pivotal joining portion.

18. The socket according to claim 14, wherein said dust cover further has a protruding element.

19. The socket according to claim 14, wherein said receptacle further comprises a slot.

20. The socket according to claim 14, wherein said receptacle further has a stopper.
