The instant invention relates to that field of devices consisting of disposable towels permeated with a savory flavored liquid solution.

A SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

1. A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention consists partially of a piece of synthetic disposable non-woven one ply paper material typically and indeed ideally six inches in width by seven inches in length, 54 percent of which consists of wood pulp. Such paper material moreover typically and ideally has weight density of 1.50 ounces per square yard of such material. The complete invention consists of such paper material having been soaked with a solution made up of water together with a savory flavored peppermint extract ideally and typically admixed as follows: one teaspoon of such extract per thirty teaspoons of water. A plurality, typically fifty of such pieces of paper material is packaged prior to any such soaking of the same, within a container typically six inches in length, four inches in width and two and a half inches in height and then the whole of the same is so soaked with half a cup of the above-mentioned solution of water combined with peppermint extract to thereafter as disposable wet wipe units be ready for use cleansing horse bits.

2. OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

Horse bits if not regularly cleaned, invariably get caked with saliva and dried feed during use by horses. Horses are reluctant to reach for such dirty bits. There is presently no truly viable way to clean such horse bits. Cleansing such dirty bits with water, sufficiently to induce horses to readily take them invites ultimate damage to the leather of the bridles to which such bits would be attached. However, resort to the instant invention allows for a ready cleansing of such bits that not only leaves them reasonably shiny and clean for the next use but also leaves them embossed with a remnant residue of peppermint flavored extract which residue serves to greatly enhance willingness on the part of such horses to take such clean and shiny bits whereas horses love the flavor of peppermint; and, in the end analysis, enhancement of a horse's willingness to take a bit is a most desirable objective from the vantage points of both stable owners and riding instructors.

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

FIG. 1 shows horse A holding a horse bit B in its mouth. FIG. 2 shows bit B attached to bridle C. FIG. 3 shows a disposable wet wipe unit 1 in apposition to a container of flavored extract solution 2, typically a solution consisting of water together with a peppermint flavored extract 3. Disposable wet wipe unit 1 for the invention is ultimately permeated with extract solution 2 by way of a soaking of a plurality of typically fifty of such units, that are each typically six inches in width and seven inches in length all being held within a container, with such flavored extract solution 2. FIG. 4 illustrates a person D wiping off a bit B with a wet wipe unit 1.

As was earlier noted, a maintaining of a clean, shiny bit B is essential to the facilitation of a horse A's willingness to take such a bit B and then accordingly maximally perform in conformance with the needs and/or wishes of its rider or its handler. There is no question but that horses love the flavor of peppermint. In this regard, utilization of an appropriately sized and weighted wet wipe unit 1 sufficiently soaked with a peppermint extract solution 2 to wipe down a bit B and leave it clean and shiny, will also serve to leave the bit B covered with a peppermint flavored residue with the result being that a horse A will much more eagerly take such a bit B as opposed to taking a bit B that is unclean i.e., caked with aged saliva and feed material or one that is only perfunctorily wiped down with water.

In the foregoing regards, it has been moreover determined that the best of such wipes 1 are those made of non-woven one ply paper material consisting of wood pulp and polyester components. The best of such paper material is that which is made up of 54 percent wood pulp. The outer limits of efficacy of such paper material require that wood pulp make up from 45 percent to 55 percent of such paper material. Paper material made up of less than 45 percent of wood pulp is too flimsy to be of much use in terms of holding a solution 2 comprised of water and a peppermint extract 3 of reasonable strength flavorwise, and paper material made up of more than 55% wood pulp is too coarse and won't sufficiently hold such a solution 2 so as to be effective. Moreover, it has been determined that the ideal weight density of such paper material in respect of the properties of desirable thickness and durability is 1.50 ounces per square yard of material. 1.00 ounces per square yard of such paper material is the flimsiest it can be and still arguably hold up for use. On the other hand, 2.20 ounces per square yard is the upper limit of such weight density. Weight density in excess of 2.20 ounces per square yard operates to render such non-woven one ply paper material as being wholly ineffective for the intended use of wiping down horse bits B. Also, the ideal size of each individual disposable wet wipe 1 made up of such paper material is six inches in width by seven inches in length. This size is ideal for purposes of packaging of such disposable wet wipes 1, fifty per conveniently sized container and for manipulating each by hand in terms of removing each from the container and then wiping down a horse bit B. A size of eight inches in width by eight inches in length is the upper limit of utility consistent with a lack of waste of material. The lowest limit of appropriate size consisting with utility is three inches in width by four inches in length. Any disposable wet wipe unit 1 as would be smaller than three inches in width by four inches in length would simply be too hard to grapple with and wad up. Extract solution 2 is comprised of extract 3 in turn made up of 89 percent ethyl alcohol and 11 percent oil of peppermint mixed with water in the ideal admixture of one teaspoon of such extract 3 per 30 teaspoons of water. The upper limit of strength of this admixture is one teaspoon of extract 3 per 20 teaspoons of water. Anything stronger than this for an admixture tends to make a horse's tongue tingle too much and becomes hence dysfunctional. The lower limit of strength of this admixture is 1 teaspoon of such extract 3 per 50 teaspoons of water. Anything weaker than this won't retain flavor or aroma sufficiently or long enough to appropriately tantalize a horse, as it were.

In practice, ideally, 50 of such disposable wet wipe units 1 all consisting of one ply non-woven paper material, 54% of each of which is wood pulp with each such unit 1 measuring six inches in width by seven inches in length and, each with a weight density of 1.50 ounces per square yard of material are packaged in a container measuring six inches in length, four inches in width and two and a half inches in height and are then soaked within the container with half a cup of extract solution 2 made of water and peppermint extract 3 which extract 3 is made up of 89 percent ethyl alcohol and 11 percent oil of peppermint with the ratio of extract 3 to water in solution 2 being 1 teaspoons of extract 3 to 30 teaspoons of water.

In conclusion, respectfully submitted, the instant invention serving at once to greatly facilitate the cleansing of horse bits B without a concomitant threat of invariable damage to the leathery essence of the bridles C to which such bits B would be attached, as well as to quite notably induce horses to more readily thereafter grab such bits B; is, for such reasons, unquestionably new, useful and indeed unique.

Claims

1. A disposable wet wipe unit for cleansing horse bits, comprising:

a. a disposable piece of one ply non-woven paper material;

b. said piece of paper material consisting partially of a wood pulp material;

c. a solution consisting of water mixed with peppermint flavored extract material, and;

d. a soaking of said piece of paper material with said solution.

2. A disposable wet wipe unit for cleansing horse bits, comprising:

a. a disposable piece of one ply non-woven paper material;

b. said piece of paper material consisting partially of a wood pulp material;

c. said wood pulp material being 54 percent of the whole of said piece of paper material;

d. said piece of paper material having a weight density of 1.50 ounces per square yard thereof;

e. said piece of paper material being six inches in width and seven inches in length;

f. a solution consisting of water mixed with a peppermint flavored extract;

g. said solution consisting of 30 teaspoons of said water mixed with 1 teaspoon of said peppermint flavored extract;

h. said peppermint flavored extract consisting of 89 percent ethyl alcohol and 11 percent oil of peppermint, and;

i. a soaking of said piece of said paper material with said solution.

3. The disposable wet wipe for cleansing horse bits of claim 2 whereby, the percentage of said wood pulp in said piece of paper material varies from 45 percent to 55 percent.

The disposable wet wipe for cleansing horse bits of claim 2 whereby, the percentage of peppermint flavored extract material in said solution varies from 1 teaspoon of said peppermint flavored extract material mixed with 20 teaspoons of said water to 1 teaspoon of said peppermint extract material mixed with 50 teaspoons of said water.

5. The disposable wet wipe for cleansing horse bits of claim 2 whereby said piece of paper material hasp dimensions ranging from 3 inches in width by 4 inches in length to 8 inches in width by 8 inches in length.

6. The disposable wet wipe for cleansing horse bits of claim 2 whereby, said piece of paper material has weight density of from 1.00 ounces per square yard thereof to 2.20 ounces per square yard thereof.
