Soft bendable cloth doll, male and females
Doll is formed by sewing together cotton/polyester fabric, which is cut out to shape head, body, arms, hands, legs and feet. Then pipe cleaners are formed to shape fingers, hands, arms, legs and feet. The pipe cleaner arms and legs are twisted and fused to plastic rod with hook shape on both ends. Polyester/cotton yarn is sewn on the head shaped fabric. The pipe cleaners that are fingers, hands and arms shaped is placed in hands and arms shaped fabric and stuffed with polyester filler. The legs shaped pipe cleaners is placed in legs shaped fabric and stuffed with polyester filler. fabric is fold and sewn to form pocket and placed on doll. Felt is cut to form eyes, nose and mouth. Fabric is cut to form ears. Stuffed ears are sewn to head. Plastic rod has fabric on one end, and is placed in head. Head is stuffed with filler. The body parts are sewn together.
The present invention relies on several new methods of creating a doll made of fabric that is capable of holding objects and have a pocket in the mid section of it's body that can hold desired objects. As in earlier methods the body is formed by cut out fabric that forms body parts such as head, ears, neck mid section, hands, arms and legs. Pipe cleaners are formed in to the shape of fingers, hand, arms, legs and toes.
In one form of method the pipe cleaners are fused to a plastic rod shaped with a hook on both ends and is placed in to the fingers, hands, arms and legs shaped fabric that has been sewn together. After placing the pipe cleaners in to the fabric, the fabric is stuffed with soft material such as polyester filler.
Other features such as pocket is sewn in to the mid section of body creating a cavity to store desired objects. The ears have studs that have been fused and snap in place, to represent earrings. Yarn is sewn on to represent hair. The eyes, nose, and mouth is felt fabric that has been fused on to face. There is a gold craft cord wrap and fused around finger to represent ring. Dolls come in different nationalities.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates (a) to a method for producing a soft cloth doll that has fingers which is capable of holding objects in it's hands and (b) a method for producing an internal skeleton.
2. The Prior Art
Soft cloth dolls have been made for centuries Many methods have been developed to produce facial and body features.
All construct the basic head and body by filling a similar shape head and body cavity made of cloth, with a soft substance such as down, cloth and/or polyester filler.
3. Body Movements
some cloth dolls has hands that resembles thumb and fingers but, it's fingers are unable to spread. There are cloth dolls that has arms and legs that can swing but, are not bendable. To create movement the doll's interior is made of polyester pipe cleaners twisted and fused to a plastic rod, which no other cloth doll have.
a) The polyester pipe cleaners are twisted and formed to resemble fingers, hands, arms and legs and are placed in to fabric that has been sewn together and stuffed with polyester filler
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Stud on bottom half of one ear is fused and snap. Fingers are separate and bendable on both hands. Gold craft cord is wrap around and fused to one finger. Both arms and legs are bendable. Pocket is sewn and placed in body creating an opening for storing items. There are four toes on each foot which are not bendable.
This invention is a doll that is made of cloth. The doll has hair which is made of yarn. The female doll has long threads of yarn for hair and the male doll has short threads of yarn for hair. Both female and male doll has cotton felt fabric for eyes, nose and mouth Their ears are fill with polyester filler. Male doll has one stud in bottom half of ear to represent earring. Female doll has a stud in both bottom half of ears that represent two earrings. Studs for earrings are to represent jewelry. These cloth dolls have bendable fingers, making them capable of holding items. Arm and legs are bendable also, so that dolls can be position to sit. The doll has bendable parts due to the skeleton interior made from polyester pipe cleaners fused to a plastic rod. The pipe cleaners has the form of fingers, hands, arms and legs, which are placed in to the sewn together fabric. Then the dolls are stuffed with polyester filler and sewn to close. Both male and female dolls have an internal pocket which is located in the mid section of the dolls. Dolls also has toes on their feet. The toes are not bendable. The dolls ankles can bend to make it possible to wear shoes. Both male and female dolls have a gold craft cord wrap around and fused to finger to represent a ring that signify jewelry. After dolls are completed, The yarn hair is styled to resemble a teen. Dolls are dresses in teen type clothing. Dolls have footwear. Dolls have wrist and ankle bracelets and necklace.
