The present invention refers to a fabric for embroidering made of at least two layers, one of a permanent fabric and the other of a removable fabric structured for embroidering, overlapped or not in an interwoven way (fabric interwoven with small empty spaces among the yarns) and the latter can or cannot have a delimitation, also temporary, as guiding-line(s).

Description

The present invention patent refers to a fabric for embroidering made of two layers, one of permanent fabric and the other of removable fabric with structure for embroidering, aiming at making it easier to embroider on fabrics in general.

It is necessary to use some stratagems to embroider on fabrics whose yarns or filaments are not perpendicularly or transversally interwoven, or whose structure is too closed not allowing its interweaving visualization with the naked eye.

Among the stratagems used to solve these problems, we can mention the use of a guiding-screen (fabric removed yarn by yarn after the embroidery is finished), mark the fabric to be embroidered, or transfer designs through heat transfer process, carbon or perforated paper (a type of manual silk-screen).

Such methods, however, pose some inconveniences. The guiding-screen that is removed yarn by yarn after the embroidery is finished can move the embroidery and, consequently, distort its lines, thus damaging its appearance.

The options of marking the fabric delimiting the areas to be embroidered, or transferring designs by heat, have the inconvenience of being totally indelible, even after several washes and a long time.

The present invention aims at simplifying and making the execution of embroidery or tapestry work easier; it is made of a fabric for embroidery made of two layers, one of permanent fabric and the other of a fabric removed by any liquid, physical and/or chemical process, with embroidering structure (fabric interwoven with small empty spaces among the yarns), making it easier to count stitches, the design's centralization/positioning, enabling embroidery on any kind of plain fabric, reducing the possibility of making mistakes when embroidering and presenting, as a final result, after the embroidery is finished, a better look without strained lines or design marks, because the second layer of the compound fabric is removable.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

It is a compound fabric for embroidering characterized by the fact that it has at least two layers; one first laye formed by any permanent fabric, where the embroidery is carried out, joined to a second fabric layer through yarns or filaments made of a material that is removable in a liquid, physical and/or chemical mean, working as a guide for the embroidery's execution.

The aforesaid layers can or can not be joined by interweaving, processes that are already known by technicians.

According to the meaning herein applied, removable material is understood as the one that can be separable, soluble, or that, under any way, disintegrates when in contact with a liquid mean or with a physical and/or chemical process.

The materials used to form the removable fabric are also known by the technicians.

The aforesaid second layer of removable fabric is, preferably, a fabric with a structure for embroidering, interwoven with small empty spaces among the yarns or filaments, making the interweave very visible in order to make embroidering easier.

Optionally, the aforesaid yarns or filaments of the second layer present a differentiated color in longitudinal and transversal guiding-lines, interspaced among them, in order to make a uniform check. Preferentially, the spacing among the longitudinal/transversal guiding-lines is of 10 stitches. Such uniform 10-stitch check created by the longitudinal/transversal lines makes it easier to embroider, because it is the traditional way used by the editorial market or embroidery support (leaflets, inserts, etc) to present embroidery designs, models, diagrams or patterns.

The compound fabric for embroidering, this invention's object, helped by the second layer of the removable fabric makes it possible to make the desired embroidery; after that, such second layer is removed (separated, dissolved, etc) by a liquid mean, or by a physical and/or chemical process, leaving no traces on the first layer of the permanent fabric.

As the second layer of removable fabric is structured for embroidering, it makes it easier and faster to embroider and it reduces the occurrence of mistakes, regarding the methods of the technique state. It also enables the execution of embroideries on any plain fabric, not requiring marks or heat transfers.

The elimination of the removable fabric occurs due to its chemical constitution that allows its complete removal by the simple action of liquid, physical and/or chemical means, under pre-established temperature and time conditions.

The yarns or filaments that will form the removable fabric are woven

    • according to warp and weft details, preferably forming a structured fabric for embroidering, such as Mock-Leno or others, proper for embroideries.

After the weaving, the resulting screen is then submitted to the appropriate finishing, which provides it with the touch and consistency that shall propitiate an easy embroidering.

This invention presents several advantages. The second layer of the removable fabric with perpendicular and transversal lines makes it easier to delimit the areas and spaces to be embroidered, as well as the positioning and centralization of the designs. As it is made of a removable fabric, it leaves no marks on the fabric after its removal. When the removable fabric, in its preferential form, presents 10-stitch guiding-lines, it makes it easier to use any existing design/pattern or diagram for embroidering supplied by the editorial market (brochures, magazines, inserts, etc). And furthermore, it reduces the possibility of mistakes and, if they occur, they can be easily noticed.

After the embroidery is finished, the user will dip the fabric into water and/or other liquids, or even submit it to physical and/or chemical processes that will eliminate the removable fabric.

The accomplishment process of this patent's object is compatible with current state-of-the-art machines and operational systems. Nevertheless, it can be carried out in older similar manufacturing systems and it can be updated to future operational and manufacturing technologies, whenever necessary.

Schematic figures of a particular accomplishment of the invention, whose dimensions and proportions are not necessarily the actual ones because such figures intend only to didactically present the invention's several aspects, are as follows. The invention's protection range is determined only by the scope of the enclosed claims.

A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The invention shall be described based on the enclosed drawings, in which:

FIG. 1 provides a view of the compound fabric for embroidering (1) with a removable fabric layer (2), guiding-line(s) (4) and the finished embroidery (5), overlapped or not in an interwoven way, to the permanent fabric layer (3) in detail “A”; and,

FIG. 2 provides a view of the fabric (3) with the embroidery (5) after the temporary fabric layer (2) has been removed.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PICTORIAL CONFIGURATION

The following example is about a particular accomplishment of the invention, that is, a compound fabric for embroidering (1) made of two layers; one first layer (3) formed by any permanent fabric where embroidering is intended, joined, in an interwoven way or not, to a second fabric layer (2) made of yarns and filaments of removable material, which guides the embroidery's execution and is dissolved in a liquid mean or by any physical and/or chemical process.

The aforesaid second layer (2) of removable fabric structured for embroidering, as illustrated by FIG. 1, is or is not endowed with guiding-line(s) (4) to make embroidering easier.

After the embroidery (5) is finished, such removable fabric (2) is eliminated through a simple procedure, accessible to any user, leaving no signs or traces of its previous presence in the second layer (3) of the permanent fabric, as illustrated by FIG. 2.

Having finished the embroidery (5), the user, for example, dips the compound fabric (1) into hot water and/or other liquids, at a temperature between 55° C. and 88° C., for approximately 5 to 15 min, what will cause the full dissolution and complete disappearance of such second layer (2) made of removable delimitation yarns or filaments. The result will be the first layer's (3) plain fabric in its final appearance, without any marks, showing the embroidery applied to it, according to FIG. 2.

It is possible to see in FIG. 1 the second layer (2) of removable fabric overlapping the first layer (3) of the permanent fabric, in detail “A”, showing the finished embroidery (5).

Technicians can promptly see, from the description and from the represented drawings, several ways to carry out the invention always within the enclosed claim scope.

Claims

1. A compound fabric for embroidering comprising at least two layers, comprising:

a first layer formed by any permanent fabric,
a second fabric layer made of yams and filaments joined to the first layer, wherein the second fabric layer is removable by the least one of a liquid, a physical process, and a chemical process from the first fabric layer.

2. The compound fabric for embroidering, according to claim 1, wherein the second fabric layer is woven as a structure for embroidering.

3. The compound fabric for embroidering, according to claim 2, wherein the second fabric layer of comprises at least one of a guiding-line having a color different from a color of the first fabric layer.

4. The compound fabric for embroidering, according to claim 1, the liquid comprises water at a temperature of 55° to 88° C.

5. The compound fabric for embroidering, according to claim 1, wherein the compound fabric is immersed in the liquid for approximately 5 minutes to 15 minutes.
