BACKGROUND—FIELD OF INVENTIONThis invention relates directly to Notebook and Laptop computers, specifically to allow users to stand, and walk while typing using two hands.
BACKGROUND—DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ARTOriginally laptop computers were portable and would only be stationary when using a hardwire to surf the net. People would normally sit the laptop on a desk or their own laps. Recently, wireless mobile technology has allowed laptops to break away from the hardwire that once anchored them to phone jacks. Many people have had to walk while holding their laptop with one hand and typing with the other hand. The Laptop becomes unbalanced and drops to the ground.
OBJECTS AND ADVANTAGESAccordingly, several objects and advantages of my invention are:
-
- (a) To provide a stable desk that said user can wear.
- (b) To provide a stable desk that allows said user to stand or walk while using two hands to type.
- (c) To provide a carrying closure that converts into a horizontal workstation desk capable of supporting Laptop and Notebook computers.
- (a) To provide a stable desk that will protect the laptop against drops and hard knocks.
Further objects and advantages of my invention will be apparent from consideration of the drawings and ensuing description.
SUMMARYIn accordance with the present invention The Portable Convertible Workstation Desk is comprised of a horizontal stabilizing surface connected to support belts and retractable chords that connect to locking clamps.

DETAIL DESCRIPTION Description—FIGS. 1, 1A, 2, and 3—Preferred Embodiments A preferred embodiment of the carrying case closure of present invention is illustrated in
A stabilizing strap1 attaching to the said carrying case enclosure 6. The said retractable chords 3, 11 extend from the left and right sides of said desk enclosure. The left and right chords connect to Clamps 4, 5. A hold down strap 7 is attached inside the carrying case enclosure 6. An extending horizontal support surface 8 attaching to the under side of the carrying case enclosure 6. The fold down horizontal support surface 10 attaching the side of the carrying case enclosure 6.
AdvantagesFrom the description above, a number of advantages of my portable convertible workstation desk become evident:
-
- (a) The desk allows maximum mobility allowing the user to walk, sit, and stand, without having to stop typing or surfing the net.
- (b) The said user can run and climb while wearing the said workstation.
- (c) The said workstation converts into a protective carrying case.
The Manner of using the laptop desk is very easy. Simply convert the carrying case into the said portable workstation desk by draping the strap1 over the neck and shoulder. The left and right chords 3, 11 extend from the carrying case. The user wraps the said chords around their waist attaching the right clamp 5 with the left clamp 4. The retract ability of the said right and left chords 3, 11, allows the said portable workstation desk 6 to fit snug against the said user. The said retractable chords 3, 11 extend to allow the said portable workstation desk 6 to be placed on a table while the said user is sitting at the table. The said user opens the folding screen covers to expose the computer screen 12. The said computer is held by screen holding straps 2. The said computer 12 is held in place with a hold down strap 7 attaching to the horizontal surface inside the portable workstation desk 6. The extending horizontal support surface 8 slides from the under body of the said portable workstation desk 6 providing a sturdy surface for a mouse, PDA, and digital phone. The said 6 portable workstation desk has a fold down horizontal support surface 10 to give additional space.
Conclusion, Ramifications, and ScopeThus the reader will see that the portable convertible workstation desk for laptop and computers provides a highly reliable, practical, yet economical device that can be used by persons of almost any age.
While the above description contains many specificities these should not be construed as limitations on the scope of the invention, but rather as an exemplification of one of the preferred embodiments thereof. Many other variations are possible. For example the said workstation converts into a briefcase, backpack, and messenger bag. Waist belts can replace the said chords 3, 11. The said portable convertible workstation can vary in size to custom fit various brands of laptop. It can be made of many, textures, materials, and colors.
Accordingly, the scope of the invention should be determined not by the embodiments illustrated, but by the appended claims and their legal equivalent.
