Seat for a heat radiator
A seat for a heat radiator includes a frame with opposed first and second sides, and opposed third and fourth sides. A first bar with a slot is laterally formed at an inner wall of the first side. An elastic strip is positioned in the slot and protruded from a bottom of the bar. A hole is uprightly defined through a first corner of the second side. A finger with an opening is formed at a second corner of the second side. A pin is inserted in the hole, and has an aperture diametrically defined through the pin and above the hole. A fastener has an arm with a first end pivotally mounted in the aperture of the pin. A handle is formed at a second end of the arm, and an arcuate part is formed at a middle portion of the arm.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a seat for a heat radiator, and more particularly to a seat which is adaptable to suit various CPUs with different thickness and it is easy for a user to attach or detach the heat radiator.
2. Description of Related Art
For lowering the temperature of a CPU in operation, a heat radiator including a fan is generally provided on the CPU. The heat radiator must be installed on a seat around the CPU.
With reference to
However, the CPUs with various specifications are different in thickness, so the heat radiator (70) can not be secured in the frame (60) by the fastening strips (80) for some CPUs with a special thickness. Furthermore, in the limited space in a computer, it is also inconvenient to attach or detach the fastening strips (80).
Therefore, the invention provides a seat for a heat radiator to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe main objective of the present invention is to provide a seat for a heat radiator which can be adapted to various CPUs with different thickness and is convenient to attach/detach the heat radiator.
Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
With reference to
A hole (20) is uprightly defined through a first corner of a second side (11) opposite to the first side (11). A cylindrical pin (30) is rotatably inserted through the hole (20) and has an aperture (31) diametrically defined through the pin (30) and located above the hole (20).
A fastener (40) has an arm (41) with a first end (not numbered) pivotally inserted in the aperture (31). A handle (43) is formed at a second end of the fastener (40). An arcuate part (42) is formed at a middle portion of the arm (41).
A finger (15) with a C-like opening (16) is formed at a second corner of the second side (11) for positioning the arm (41). Two second bars (17) are respectively formed at third and fourth sides (11) between the first and second sides (11) and at bottom edges of the third and fourth sides (11) for preventing a CPU from being pressed by a heat radiator.
With reference to
According to the present invention, the seat can be adapted to various CPUs with different thickness by compressing the elastic strip. Moreover, it is also very convenient to attach/detach the heat radiator in/from the seat by pivoting the arm.
It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
