Push-up trainer
A push-up trainer is comprised of a base having an underprop, a supporter movably mounted to the underprop of the base, two pressing bars each having an end pivotably mounted to the supporter, and two upholding members respectively detachably mounted to the pressing bars and each having a slidable member contacting against the base.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates generally to exercise apparatuses, and more particularly to a push-up trainer.
2. Description of the Related Art
A conventional push-up trainer 80, as shown in
If the user intends to operate the push-up trainer 80 for push-up exercise, the user will hold the handlebars 88 respectively by the user's hands, let the user's chest lie against the cushion 86, and push and pull the two pressing bars 83 repeatedly to generate leverage; meanwhile, the leverage drives the bearing bars 87 and the cushion 86 for up-down movement to further move the user's body up and down.
However, the conventional push-up trainer 80 is structurally complex, having numerous component parts, and the user is subject to injury incurred by the collapsible guiding member 84. In addition, different users have different arm length or different length of two outstretched arms, and the distance respectively between the two handlebars 88 and between each handlebar 88 and the cushion 86 is fixed, such that the distance fails to be adjustable in accordance with the different users to incur operational inconvenience.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe primary objective of the present invention is to provide a push-up trainer, which is structurally preferably simple and safe.
The secondary objective of the present invention is to provide a push-up trainer, which is adjustable in accordance with arm length of different users to reduce operational inconvenience.
The foregoing objectives of the present invention are attained by the push-up trainer, which is comprised of a base having an underprop, a supporter movably mounted to the underprop of the base, two pressing bars each having an end pivotably connected to the supporter, and two upholding members respectively detachably mounted to the pressing bars and each having a slidable member contacting against the base.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Referring to
The base 12 is normally placed on the floor, including a circular chassis 20, an upright underprop 21 extending upwards from a top center of the chassis 20, two elongated bottom struts 22 formed at two opposite sides of an peripheral edge of the chassis 20, and two lateral struts 24 horizontally perpendicularly formed respectively at distal ends of the two bottom struts 22. Each of the bottom struts 22 is provided with a guide slot 26 recessed downwards from a top side thereof.
The supporter 14 includes a sleeve 28, a cushion 30 mounted on a top side of the sleeve 28, and two pivoting portions 32 respectively mounted at two opposite sides of an outer peripheral edge of a bottom side of the sleeve 28. The sleeve 28 is coaxially fitted to the underprop 21 to be slidable along the underprop 21.
Each of the pressing bars 16 includes an elongated tubular external bar 34 and an internal bar 36 fitted into the external bar 34. Each of the internal bars 36 has an end inserted into the external bar 34 for slidable movement along a long axle of the external bar 34, and the other end extending outwards and provided with a handlebar 38. Each internal bar 36 has three positioning holes 40 axially arranged thereon at an equal interval. The external bar 34 has a pin 42 detachably inserted into one of the positioning holes 40 for manipulating the distance between the handlebar 38 and the external bar 34. The external bar 34 has the other end pivotably mounted to the pivoting portion 32 of the supporter 14 by a pivoting pin 44, such that each pressing bar 16 can be pivotable on the pivoting pin 44. Further, the external bar 34 has a plurality of through holes 46 running therethrough and positioned relatively to the guide slot 26 of the base 12.
Each of the upholding members 18 is U-shaped, including a slidable member 48, which is embodied as a pulley, rotatably provided at_a bottom end thereof, and a locking member 50, which can embodied as a pin or a bolt, detachably inserted through a top end thereof into one of the through holes 46 of the pressing bar 16 to enable the upholding member 18 to be perpendicular to the pressing bar 16. Each of the slidable members 48 extends towards the base 12 to contact against the guide slot 26. When the locking member 50 is fixedly inserted into different positioning holes 46, an angle between each pressing bar 16 and the base 12 can be adjustable.
From the above recitation, when the user does the push-up exercise on the push-up trainer 10, the user has the hands respectively hold the handlebars 38 and the chest lie against the cushion 30. As shown in
In conclusion, the present invention is structurally simple and safe, and adjustable according to different users of different arm length to reduce operational inconvenience.
