This invention discloses a massage pillow comprising an external pocket which is a semi-closed pocket having an opening, a latch device disposed at the opening, and a pocket chamber defined therein; an internal pocket which is a semi-closed tubular pocket at one end having a pipe hole connected to the opening of the external pocket and the other end having a pocket opening disposed at an appropriate position, and a pipe chamber defined therein for accommodating a vibrator; and a filler made of soft material passing through the pocket opening along the pipe chamber to be filled inside the pocket chamber, and then the pocket opening being sealed to constitute the massage pillow.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a massage pillow, more particular to a pillow having an external pocket connected to a rectangular internal pocket, and the internal pocket serves as an inlet for filling fillers; after the internal pocket is sealed, the pipe chamber of the internal pocket can accommodate a vibrator for achieving the massage effect.

2. Description of the Related Art

Pillows are common and indispensable to our daily life, and the extensive definition of pillow covers regular pillows, hugging pillows, leaning pillows, neck pillows or even cushions disposed at the back of a seat for supporting our lower back. Pillows generally have the feature of being made by a soft material, so that the pillow will not be too hard or uncomfortable when our body touches the pillow.

The conventional pillow generally provides a comfortable softness by filling soft fillers into an external pocket, and such fillers could be a natural material such as rice husk, bean, coconut cellulose, and cotton, or an artificial material such as polylon and plastic polymer. These fillers could be in a wooly form, a lump form, or a granular form to fit the length, width and height of the pocket. In other words, the position of the filler in the pocket can be changed or varied.

In general, the filler of a conventional pillow is filled from an opening on one side of the pocket. After the filler is filled, the opening of the pocket is sewed directly, and thus the filler in the pillow cannot be taken out. If cleaning and sanitation are taken into consideration, pillows are generally laundered to remove greases or stains after being used for a while. However, the filler inside the pocket of the conventional pillow cannot be taken out, which will definitely affect the laundry effect. Therefore, improvements are made to overcome the foregoing shortcoming by designing a latch device such as a zipper at the opening, so that the filler can be put into or taken out from the pillow, and the pockets can be cleaned separately. However, there is still a shortcoming if the filler is in a granular form. When the latch device is split or burst open accidentally, the granular filler will fall out from the cracked crevices, and will thus make a terrible mess.

In addition, some manufacturers have installed a vibrator into a cushion, so that a driver can turn on the vibrator by the power supply from cigarette lighter socket in the car and eliminate the numbness of the buttocks due to a long-hour drive. However, when such vibrator is installed inside the cushion, it must have an electric wire for the power supply, which is inapplicable for pillows.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing shortcomings, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience on the design and sales of massage products to conduct extensive experiments and tests to overcome the shortcomings on the filler from falling out of the pillow and the installation of power cable of the massager, and finally invented the massage pillow in accordance with the invention.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a massage pillow comprising an external pocket which is a semi-closed pocket having an opening, a latch device disposed at the opening, and a pocket chamber defined therein; an internal pocket which is a semi-closed tubular pocket at one end having a pipe hole connected to the opening of the external pocket and the other end having a pocket opening disposed at an appropriate position, and a pipe chamber defined therein for accommodating a vibrator; and a filler made of soft material passing through the pocket opening along the pipe chamber to be filled inside the pocket chamber, and then the pocket opening being sealed to constitute the massage pillow.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

To make it easier for our examiner to understand the objective of the invention, its structure, innovative features, and performance, we use a preferred embodiment together with the attached drawings for the detailed description of the invention.

Please refer to FIG. 1 for the massage pillow of the present invention, which comprises an external pocket 1, an internal pocket 2, a filler 3, and a vibrator 4.

The external pocket 1 is a semi-closed pocket preferably made by a weave cloth, and includes but not limited to a latch device 12 such as a zipper or an adhesive tape disposed at one side of an opening 11, so that the external pocket 1 can be closed or opened. A pocket chamber 12 is formed inside the internal pocket 1 for accommodating the following components. In addition, the external pocket can be designed with different patterns or characters to stimulate the consumer's purchasing desire.

The internal pocket 2 is a long tubular weave cloth, having one end of a pipe opening 21 being coupled with an opening 11 such that the two are interconnected, and the other side of the pocket is flipped inside out. The internal pocket 2 facilitates filling in the filler 3 into an appropriate position such as a pocket opening 22 proximate to an outer side, so that the filler 3 can pass through the pocket opening 22 along the tubular internal pocket 22 into the pocket chamber 12 to define a pillow. To avoid the filler 3 from coming out from the pocket opening 22, so that the filler 3 can pass through the pocket opening 22 along the tubular internal pocket 22 into the pocket chamber 12 to define a pillow. To avoid the filler 3 from coming out from the pocket opening 22 and being filled up the pipe chamber 23 enclosed by the internal pocket 2, sewing or having another latch device 24 such as a zipper or an adhesive tape to eliminate the possibility of having the filler remained inside the pipe chamber 23.

The filler 3 is sued for filling up the pocket chamber 12 of the external pocket 1, so that the external pocket 1 remains in its shape when it is in use. Therefore, the filler 3 should not be larger than the internal volume of the external pocket 1. For convenience, the filler 3 is preferably in the granular form of polylon or plastic polymer materials or resin cotton in lumps. However, this invention is not limited by the form of the filler 3. In the experiment conducted by the inventor, it shows that it is preferably to have the filler 3 in the granular form.

The vibrator 4, which is a prior art, and is disposed inside the pipe chamber 23 and driven by the bias rotation of a direct current motor to provide the vibration and massage effects. In order to provide a slight vibration and a low noise for comfortable rest, it is preferably to have a small vibrator that adopts a No. 3 dry cell battery.

Please refer to FIGS. 2 and 3. If the massage pillow of this invention is a hugging pillow and needs to have a massage function for such pillow, it only needs to open the latch device 12 of the external pocket 1 and remove the vibrator 4 and switch the vibrator 4 on, and then plug the vibrator 4 into the pipe chamber 23 to have the massage effect for the pillow. Alternatively, since the filler 3 in the external pocket 1 is granular, therefore use a finger to poke inside to find the vibrator 4 disposed inside the pipe chamber 23, and turn on the switch by a hand to get the same vibration and message effects. Further, the internal pocket 2 of the invention is relatively deep, and thus the position of the pocket chamber 12 can be adjusted freely and the depth for burying the vibrator 4 cam be adjusted to have the variation of positions and vibration strength. After the battery is exhausted, it only needs to open the latch device 12 of the external pocket 1 and remove the vibrator 4 for battery change. The present invention is a great invention of the same sort, which does not have any problem with power cables.

While the invention has been described by way of examples and in terms of preferred embodiments, it is to be understood, that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements and procedures, and the scope of the appended claims therefore should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements and procedures.

10. A massage pillow comprising:

a) an external pocket having: i) an interior pocket chamber; ii) an external pocket opening in a peripheral wall; and iii) a external latch device selectively opening and closing the external pocket opening;
b) an internal pocket movable into and out of the external pocket and having: i) an pipe chamber formed in an interior of the internal pocket such that, when the internal pocket is located in the interior of the external pocket, the pipe chamber is movable within the interior pocket chamber; ii) a pipe opening located in a peripheral wall of the internal pocket aligned with and connected to the external pocket opening; and iii) an internal pocket opening located in a peripheral wall of the internal pocket, the interior pocket chamber communicating with the exterior of the external pocket through the internal pocket opening;
c) a filler inserted into the interior pocket chamber; and
d) a vibrator inserted into the pipe chamber and being movable between a plurality of predetermined positions within the filler.

11. The massage pillow according to claim 10, wherein the external pocket and the internal pocket are made of a woven cloth.

12. The massage pillow according to claim 10, wherein the filler is made of a plastic polymer material.

13. The massage pillow according to claim 10, wherein the external latch device is one of a zipper and an adhesive tape.

14. The massage pillow according to claim 10, wherein the internal pocket opening is sewn closed.

15. The massage pillow according to claim 10, further comprising an internal latch device selectively opening and closing the internal pocket opening.

16. The massage pillow according to claim 15, wherein the internal latch device is one of a zipper and an adhesive tape.
