Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A conventional plate glass with wire mesh or with piano wire is used for the practical purpose of reinforcement, prevention of damaging and shattering etc. A conventional screen door is used for the purpose of ventilation and is insect-proof. Soft material, such as nylon etc., is adequate for the practical purpose of ventilation and insect proof.

However, a plate glass pane with wire mesh does not allow ventilation, and is subject to breaking and entering. Also, a screen door is weak and unsafe because it is easily broken. It is not a good idea to use only a screen door the purpose of ventilation, even on a hot night etc.

PURPOSE AND THE OUTLINE OF THE INVENTION

In order to solve the problems above, a plate glass with wire mesh should have ventilation-ability and still be safe. A screen door would need to be made of much stronger wire mesh for safety. The purpose of the present invention is to make a safe door or window made of a ventilated plate glass, plastic board or wood board etc., with wire mesh that provides ventilation and is insect proof.

The present invention is characterized by the plate glass etc., with wire mesh to provide ventilation and reinforcement. The two pieces of plate glass etc., which may be substituted plastic board or wood board, has many holes for ventilation. The mesh is part of an electronic sensor circuit used to prevent thieves from tampering with it. The mesh is laminated between the two pieces of plate glass. According to the present invention design, it is safe and comfortable enough to use as a window or a door during sleeping. It has functions which allow ventilation, prevention of crime and insect proof.

DETAILED EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention, as shown in the figures, is for a ventilated plate glass or plastic board etc., with wire mesh to be used for windows and doors. It will allow for ventilation, but still be strong and safe enough with reinforcement, prevention of crimes, and is insect proof.

Following are practical examples.

FIG. 1 is a magnified partial view of ventilated plate glass with wire mesh, as indicated by the number 1. It is turned 45 degree from a viewer. The whole ventilated plate glass with wire mesh is generally used for a window or door though it may be used in other ways.

The shape, size, quantity and location of ventilated holes, indicated by the number 3, can be an individual decision. Also, the wire mesh, number 4, which is inserted between two pieces of plate glass, is made of electrically conductive material such as stainless steel, steel brass or carbon etc. The mesh may be substituted for wire mesh. However, in this example, wire mesh is shown since it allows more light than a punched plate.

The materials for the panel of the door or window may be selected from glass, plastic or wood. Also, the specifications for the wire mesh have to be chosen depending on usage such as reinforcement, prevention of crimes and/or insect proof. In this practical example, a plate glass is selected with wire mesh made of φ0.5 mm stainless steel wire. The mesh is fine enough to prevent passing insects such as mosquitoes from passing through. However, two different kinds of wire mesh can be inserted together between the two pieces of glass depending on the desired use.

FIG. 2 shows the crime-prevention system which uses the electronic sensor circuit, number 5, and the ventilated plate glass with wire mesh, number 1. The lead wire, 6, is connected to the wire mesh, 4, and works as a sensor in order to detect a thief touching a window. Detection may be by external signal sounds such as buzzers and voice, lighting of a lamp and/or a flash for taking a photograph. The signal is sent by the output of the line for external signal, 7.

A detailed explanation for the electronic circuits, 5, of the sensor is omitted because it is not the main subject of the present invention.

FIG. 3 is a side view for the explanation of the manufacturing method of a ventilated plate glass with wire mesh, 1, which is the present invention.

The method to produce a ventilated glass with wire mesh is shown as follows;

First of all burner units, 11, which are located several places in the system, heat the two pieces of plate glass, 2′ and 2″, to keep them in a pliable condition. Secondly, the equipment for making holes, 8′ and 8″, located in parallel, makes many ventilated holes, 3, by punching or suctioning in the two piece of plate glass. Thirdly, the burner units, 11, heat the wire mesh in order to seal it with the two pieces of plate glass while the feeding roller unit, 9, sends them to the next procedure. Fourthly, the pressure roller unit, 10, exerts pressure on the two pieces plate glass and wire mesh in order to seal them. Finally, the ventilated plate glass with wire mesh, 1, is cooled by the cooling fan unit, 12.

The manufacturing method of using plastic boards is almost the same as the one of glass. However, since the pliable temperature of plastic material is lower than that of glass, the procedure of making ventilated holes may be done by suctioning after two pieces of plastic and wire mesh have been joined. Also, for plastic, glue may be used before the pressure (See procedure 4 above).

In addition, screws may be used for lamination in case of using wood materials.

The manufacturing method above for the invention is desirable to be added to the process of the manufacturing of plate glasses or plastic board themselves.

Also, it is possible to join the two pieces of glass or plastic using rivets or screws etc.

Claims

1. A door or window made of ventilated plate glass etc., with wire mesh which provides ventilation and reinforcement. The ventilated plate glass etc., with wire mesh is made of two pieces of material such as glass, plastic or wood etc., which has many ventilated holes, between which is sealed the wire mesh.

2. A door or window made of ventilated plate glass etc., with wire mesh mentioned in claim 1. The mesh is part of an electronic touching sensor circuit etc., which detects thieves when they touch it to prevent them.

3. The manufacturing method of a door or window made of ventilated plate glass etc., with wire mesh mentioned in claim 1. The method is shown as follows;

Heated two pieces of plate glass etc., in a pliable condition are made many same size ventilated holes at relative position on them by the equipment for making holes, and are sealed with heated wire mesh by exerting pressure on them. Then, the ventilated plate glass etc., with wire mesh is produced after cooling.
