Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an underpants for men, and more specifically, to an underpants for men having separating structure.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

With the increasing demand of modern people on life quality, the sewing designs of underwear, such as underpants, are also kept improving, for meeting the demand on comfortable requirements to every daily article necessary for use; however, particular to an underpants for men, because of the limitation of a male's special genitals' structure, and the research of nowadays cloth material still leaves an unsolved ventilation problem against hot temperature, the improvement of the sewing design of an underpants for men can hardly satisfy consumers' requirements, and thus has a lot of deficiencies.

The deficiencies of conventional underpants for men mainly lie in the restriction from the cloth material to a male's genitals; four main problems are thus generated from the restriction, which can be worse because of the improper size or sewing of the cloth material thereof: firstly, under the circumstance of a male's genitals accommodated in the narrow space of the front part of the underpants, the penis or scrotum may be easily oppressed because of the restriction force from the positioning function of the underpants or from the elastic belt, which not only makes people uncomfortable because of pain, but also may do harm to the testicle inside the scrotum; secondly, besides the problem of oppressing because of the narrow space, there is also the problem of ventilation and heat dissipating, particular in tropic regions or semi-tropical regions, when the consumer takes activities for a long time, or performs violent movements, the underpants may be over heated, which not only makes the consumer uncomfortable because of the sweat, but also may do harm to the procreate function of the testicle; thirdly, the scrotum and penis may not be actually separated from the abdomen and thigh of the leg if the separating structure of the underpants is not well designed, in such circumstance, the skins of these parts will have friction with each other, in addition, the ventilation and heat dissipating inside the underpants are not so good, therefore skin diseases, such as eczema, are easily engendered on the skins of said parts, which has been a suffering to menfolk; last, inconveniences for toileting may also arise from a not-well-designed underpants because the function of separating and positioning to genitals is generally over strengthened by underpants designers, the underpants have to be pulled out or token off so that a male can urinate, which is very inconvenience, and can not meet people's demand. Consequently, it is hard to design underpants for men taking both structure and function thereof into consideration.

TW Utility Model Patent No. 108803 discloses an improvement design of an underpants for men, which proposes an underpants for men 50 having a scrotum pocket, as shown in FIG. 5, comprising a front part 51 and a back part 52 whose top portions are formed into elastic portions 511, 521, the opening of the lateral edge 52 for the thigh extending through is also elastic; at the same time, the front part 51 joins the bottom of the back part 52 via a transverse sewing thread 54, and the central portion of the back part 52 are lengthways sewn with a vertical sewing thread, a hemispherical scrotum pocket 56 is arranged at a bottom position where the vertical sewing thread 55 intersects the transverse sewing thread 54 on the front part 51. The scrotum pocket 56 defines a upward opening 561, an annular sewing thread 562 is arranged at the periphery of the opening for forming a lateral cloth 57 between the scrotum pocket 56 and the lateral edge 53 of the underpants, so that the scrotum pocket 56 accommodates the scrotum therein.

The above underpants can be worn in a same way as a normal one; however the scrotum will be accommodated in the scrotum pocket 56 wherein the vertical sewing thread 55 of the back part 52 tightly fits on the sunken portion of the hip, and the lateral cloth 57 tightly fits on the skins between the scrotum and the abdomen and thigh of the leg therefore separating the scrotum and the abdomen and thigh of the leg, making the scrotum free of oppressing.

The above improvement design solve the problems of the oppressing and separating of the scrotum, however, other problems like oppressing of the penis, poor ventilation or inconveniences for toileting are still not solved, which still can not meet male consumers' demand.

Consequently, how to provide underpants for men which reliably separates the private parts of a body, has a good ventilation environment, and is convenient for toileting has become a problem to be solved.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The present invention is described in the following with specific embodiments, so that one skilled in the pertinent art can easily understand other advantages and effects of the present invention from the disclosure of the invention. The present invention is also implemented and applied according to other embodiments, and details are modified based on different views and applications without departing from the spirit of the invention.

First Embodiment

A preferred embodiment of the underpants for men of the present invention is as shown in FIG. 1A and FIG. 1B, wherein FIG. 1A is a spread view of the cloth of FIG. 1B, the cloth in the spread view can be sewn to form the isometric view in FIG. 1B. The underpants for men comprises a front part 11 and a back part 12, the front part 11 and the back part 12 can be sewn together to form the underpants to be worn on the private parts of a user. The present embodiment takes the boxer as an example of the figure and configuration of the cloth. The front part 11 defines an opening 13 in an approximately center position thereof for the user's scrotum and penis extending through. The opening 13 is substantially circular, it is positioned against the user's genitals after the user wears the underpants for men 10. At the same time, a hemispherical scrotum pocket 20 is sewn jointly to a lower-half edge of the opening 13, so that the inner hemispherical space of the scrotum pocket 20 communicates with the opening 13 of the front part 11. The opening 13 communicates with external on at the upper-half edge 15 thereof, and communicates with the inner hemispherical space of the scrotum pocket 20 at the lower-half edge because of the coverage of the scrotum pocket 20. Therefore, when a user wears the underpants for men 10, his penis and scrotum can extend through the opening 13 of the front part 11, and the penis further extends outwardly from the upper-half edge 15 of the opening 13, while the scrotum is accommodated in the inner space of the scrotum pocket, thus a separation effect is achieved.

To achieve the special configuration of the scrotum pocket, cloth material, such as Nylon or Polyester, is disposed in a set of molds and heated for a predetermined time, for example, heated for 18 to 20 seconds under 180? environment to achieve the hemispherical configuration. The configuration is not limited to what is described above, an approximate spherical configuration having inner space for accommodating the scrotum can also employed, a user can achieve a special configuration of the scrotum pocket 20 by altering the molds or adjusting the parameters of the fabricating process.

Additionally, as shown in the figure, the scrotum 20 defines a plurality of holes 21. The plurality of holes 21 is compactly and trimly distributed in the whole scrotum pocket 20, so that the scrotum pocket 20 has a mesh surface. The inner space of the scrotum pocket 20 is thus not hermetic, and thus achieving a good ventilation and heat dissipating effect for the scrotum accommodated in the inner space thereof. Consequently, the inner space of the scrotum 20 provides a function of temperature adjusting, which is not easily affected by the environment to be rapidly heated.

The present invention further comprises a cover cloth 30, and the cover cloth 30 is sewn to a center position outside the front part 11 to cover an upper portion of the opening 13 and the scrotum pocket 20. The figure and size of the cover cloth 30 is designed to at least cover the upper-half edge 15 for the user's penis extending through, and at least expose the lower part of the scrotum pocket 20, therefore meeting both requirements of esthetics and ventilation. Consequently, when the user wears the underpants for men 10, his penis extends outwardly through the upper-half edge 15 of the opening, and is accommodated in the space between the cover cloth 30 and the opening 13.

In addition, the space between the cover cloth 30 and the opening 13 is also not a hermetic space because only part of the cover cloth 30 is sewn to the front part 11. As shown in FIG. 1A, only part of the cover cloth 30 is sewn to the upper portion of the front part 11 and lateral edges of the opening 13, that is, sewn to the line segment AB at the upper portion of the front part 11 and the line segments CD, EF at the lateral edges of the opening 13. Such design not only keeps the ventilation of the penis, but also provides convenience for the user to urinate. Because the line segments DE, BC and FA are arranged at the positions where the cover cloth 30 not sewn closed, no complex pulling out operation of the underpants is needed when the user urinates, whereas the penis can be exposed from where the cover cloth 30 not sewn closed at a lower portion or lateral sides (line segments DE, BC, or FA) to urinate, which solve the problem the user faces when he urinates.

Referring to FIG. 1C, the bottom edge of the cover cloth 30 is inwardly bent and sewn to the line segments CD, EF to form an inner pocket 31. The penis can be extended through the upper-half edge 15 of the opening and downwardly enclosed in the inner pocket 31, so that the longer penis can be prevented from extending through the cover cloth 30 because of the coverage of the inner pocket 31.

Referring to FIG. 1D, a short cloth piece 32 is transversely arranged on the inner surface of the cover cloth 30, and the short cloth piece 32 is sewn to where the cover cloth not sewn closed only at lateral sides thereof (line segments BC, FA). A pocket-shaped space having opened top and bottom is formed between the short cloth piece 32 and the cover cloth 13, so that the longer penis is covered in the cover cloth 30 and prevented from extending through the lateral sides where the cover cloth not sewn closed.

The front part 11 of the underpants for men is sewn jointly to the bottom portion of the back part 12 via a transverse sewing thread 16 as the conventional underpants. A vertical sewing thread 17 is sewn in the central portion of the back part 12, so that when the user wears the underpants for men 10, the vertical sewing thread 17 of the back part 12 tightly fits on the sunken portion of the hip. At the same time, as shown in FIG. 1B, the lateral edge 25 of the front part 11 and back part 12 forms opening for accommodating the user's thigh; and the lateral edge 25 and the top portion 26 of the front part 11 and the back part 12 are formed with elastic portion 27, so that the edge of the underpants for men 10 are elastic and convenient for the wearing and taking off.

Consequently, when the user wears the underpants for men of the present invention, the underpants for men 10 are worn in a same way as the conventional underpants, wherein the user's penis and scrotum naturally extends through the opening 13 of the front part 11; the penis further extends through the upper-half edge 15 of the opening and accommodates in the space between the cover cloth 30 and the opening 13; and the scrotum naturally accommodated in the scrotum pocket 20 of the opening 13. Therefore the penis, scrotum and the abdomen and thigh are separated from each other, and the genitals will not be oppressed.

Conclusively, the private parts of the user can be separated and prevented from the skin friction and oppressing via the special design of the scrotum pocket 20 and the cover cloth 30. At the same time, good ventilation and heat dissipating effect can be achieved via the holes in the cover cloth, where it is not sewn closed, and in the scrotum 20. In addition, the cover cloth 30 of the present invention also takes the requirement of convenience for urinating into consideration, so that the cover cloth 30 where it is not sewn closed is employed to facilitate urination.

Second Embodiment

The above embodiment takes the conventional men's boxer as an example; however, the figure of the boxer is not the feature of the present invention, which shall be considered as a limitation to the present invention. A second embodiment of the present invention can be shown in FIG. 2A, 2B, which takes a brief as an example to illustrate, wherein FIG. 2A is a spread view, the cloth in the spread view can be sewn to form the configuration as shown in FIG. 2B.

The features of the second embodiment are similar to those of the first embodiment, which arranges the cover cloth 30 and scrotum pocket 20 in the opening 13 of the front part 11 to achieve the effect of the present invention. The ventilation, separation and free of oppressing effect are more important to a brief than to a boxer, wherein the cloth is closely fits on the skins of the user.

Third Embodiment

The cover cloth 30 and the scrotum pocket 20 are designed to be sewn to the front part 11 in the above two embodiments, that is, sewn to the outside of the underpants; however, which shall not be a limitation to the present invention. For esthetics' sake, as the third embodiment of the present invention shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B, the cover cloth and scrotum pocket can be sewn to the inside of the front part 12, that is, sewn to the inside of the underpants (in the space between the front part 11 and the back part 12), wherein, FIG. 3A is a spread view of FIG. 3B, the cloth in the spread view can be sewn to the configuration as shown in FIG. 3B. Different from FIGS. 1A and 1B, which illustrate the outside of the front part and the back part, the spread view of FIG. 3A and illustrates the inside of the front part and the back part.

The figure and configuration of the present embodiment take a boxer as an example, as the same to the first embodiment. The front part 11 defines a first opening 41 at an approximately center position thereof, the first opening is employed only for the user to urinate, not for accommodating the user's penis and scrotum. The feature of the present embodiment lies in that, the inside of the front part 11 is sewn jointly with an inner cover cloth 45. The inner cover cloth 45 is triangular, which is positioned against the user's genitals for accommodating the user's penis and scrotum. At the same time, the inner cover cloth 45 defines a second opening 46 for the penis and scrotum extending through. The lower-half edge of the second opening 46 is sewn jointly with a hemispherical scrotum pocket as that of the above embodiments. The inner space of the scrotum pocket 40 communicates with the second opening 46 of the inner cover cloth 45, for accommodating the user's scrotum. The scrotum pocket 40 also defines a plurality of holes 42 for forming a mesh surface thereon.

Consequently, when the user wears the underpants for men of the present embodiment, his penis and scrotum are naturally positioned at the second opening 46 of the inner cloth 45; the penis extends through the upper-half edge 47 of the second opening 46 and accommodates between the front part 11 and the second opening 46; and the scrotum naturally accommodated in the scrotum pocket 40 arranged on the second opening 46. Therefore the penis, scrotum and thigh are separated from each other, and the genitals are free of oppressing. In addition, when the user urinates, the penis extending through the upper-half edge 47 of the second opening 46 of the inner cover cloth 45 can further extend through the first opening 41 of the front part to urinate.

The inner cover cloth and scrotum pocket 40 of the present embodiment are arranged inside the underpants, to well positioning the user's genitals, the triangular inner cloth 45 is suspended inside the underpants. As shown in FIG. 3B, the corner 48 of the triangular inner cloth 45 connects to two elastic suspend belts 49, an edge opposing the corner 48 of the inner cloth is firstly sewn to the elastic portion 27 at an upper portion of the front part 11; two positions G, H at an upper portion the back part 12 are further selected according to the experiment results and size requirements; the two elastic belts 49 are sewn to the positions G, H for supporting the inner cloth 45 and the scrotum pocket on the inner cloth inside the underpants. If the positions G, H are appropriately selected, the supporting position will be right against the user's genitals, which results an ideal comfortable feeling.

The suspend belts is only taken as an example to support the inner cloth 45, which shall not be considered as the only embodiment of the present invention, other supporting means can also be employed in the design of the present embodiment, as long as the inner cloth 45 and the scrotum pocket 40 are supported inside the underpants to achieve the effect of the present invention. For example, in the spread view and isometric view shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B (FIG. 4A is a spread view showing the inside of the front part and the back part, as the same FIG. 3A does), the design of the two suspend belts is omitted, instead, the triangular inner cloth 45 is lengthened, so that the corner 48 is sewn to the approximately center position C on the back part 12; under such circumstance, the inner cover cloth 45 and the scrotum 40 can also be supported, wherein the position C on the back part 12 can be selected according to different requirements.

Besides employed in the abovementioned boxer, the design of the inner cloth 45 and scrotum pocket 40 can also be supported inside the brief for men, which will not be detailed hereinafter.

In conclusion, the feature of the present invention lies in the design of the (inner) cover cloth and the scrotum pocket, particular in the configuration of the scrotum pocket and the mesh surface thereof. The design of the (inner) cover cloth and the scrotum can be employed in the outside or inside of the underpants, such as in a boxer or a brief, to achieve the effect of ventilation, separation, free of oppressing and convenience to urinate, therefore solving the problems of conventional underpants for men.

It should be apparent to those skilled in the art that the above description is only illustrative of specific embodiments and examples of the present invention. The present invention should therefore cover various modifications and variations made to the herein-described structure and operations of the present invention, provided they fall within the scope of the present invention as defined in the following appended claims.
