Cover layer for ironing stand

-

A cover layer for ironing stand includes an ironing stand made up of an ironing board, a foldable supporting stand pivotally mounted to the underside of the ironing board thereof, and a protective cover layer wrapped at the upper surface of the ironing board thereon. A securing piece is disposed at a preset lateral edge of the protective cover layer thereon, and an attachment piece is fixed at the upper edge of a bag member to be mutually engaged with the securing piece thereby. Besides, storage pockets are disposed at one side of the bag member for retaining daily-used articles (such as cellular phones, cordless phones, needle/threads, or buttons, etc.) therein. Thus, in the process of ironing clothes, articles like phones or needles/threads are easily reached and quickly retrieved from the storage pockets of the bag member for use without a user getting away from the ironing stand in a hurry to answer a phone call or to obtain the needles/threads if necessary so that the power of an iron can be properly shut down in due time, facilitating the convenience of use and easy assembly of the present invention as well as improving the household safety in daily life.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is related to a cover layer for ironing stand, including an ironing stand made up of an ironing board, a foldable supporting stand pivotally mounted to the underside of the ironing board thereof, and a protective cover layer wrapped at the upper surface of the ironing board thereon wherein a securing piece is disposed at a preset lateral edge of the protective cover layer thereon to be mutually engaged with an attachment piece fixed at the upper edge of a bag member having storage pockets disposed at one side thereon for retaining daily-used articles (such as cellular phones, cordless phones, needle/threads, or buttons, etc.) therein. Thus, in the process of ironing clothes, articles like phones or needles/threads are easily reached and quickly retrieved from the storage pockets of the bag member for use without a user getting away from the ironing stand in a hurry to answer a phone call or to obtain the needles/threads if necessary so that the power of an iron can be properly shut down in due time, facilitating the convenience of use and easy assembly thereof as well as improving the household safety in daily life.

A conventional ironing stand has none of storage bags attached thereto for retaining some daily-used articles like cellular phones, cordless phones, needles/threads, or buttons, etc. therein. In the process of ironing clothes, a user must stop the ironing work suddenly and get away hurriedly to answer a phone call or obtain some needles/threads if necessary, which can easily get the clothes burned or even result in a fire in case the power of the iron is not properly shut down in time due to the negligence of a user. Thus, the conventional ironing stand poses a potential danger to the safety in the household.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

It is, therefore, the primary purpose of the present invention to provide a cover layer for ironing stand wherein a securing piece is disposed at a preset lateral edge of a protective cover layer wrapped at the upper surface of an ironing board to be mutually engaged with an attachment piece fixed at the upper edge of a bag member having storage pockets disposed at one side thereon for retaining daily-used articles (such as cellular phones, cordless phones, needle/threads, or buttons, etc.) therein. Thus, in the process of ironing clothes, articles like phones or needles/threads are easily reached and quickly retrieved from the storage pockets of the bag member for use without a user getting away from the ironing stand in a hurry to answer a phone call or to obtain the needles/threads thereof if necessary so that the power of an iron can be properly shut down in due time, facilitating the convenience of use and safe operation of the present invention in daily life.

It is, therefore, the second purpose of the present invention to provide a cover layer for ironing stand wherein the bag member attached to the protective cover layer of the ironing board via the attachment piece engaged with the securing pieced thereof can also be easily detached from the protective cover layer for cleaning purpose thereof, achieving the flexibility of the present invention in practical use.

It is, therefore, the third purpose of the present invention to provide a cover layer for ironing stand wherein, via the securing piece of the protective cover layer mutually engaged with the attachment piece of the bag member, the ironing stand thereof is also equipped with the function of retaining some daily-used articles via the bag member thereby, facilitating a convenience of use and easy assembly of the present invention to boost the competitive power thereof.
