DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-8, a foldable computer table in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a rear support stand 10, a top plate 20 having a first end pivotally mounted on a first end of the rear support stand 10 by two opposite first pivot plates 21 (see FIG. 2), a table plate 22 having a first end pivotally mounted on a mediate portion of the rear support stand 10 by two opposite second pivot plates 23 (see FIG. 3), a front support stand 11 having a first end pivotally mounted on a second end of the table plate 22 by two opposite hinges 12 (see FIG. 7), a bottom plate 24 having a first end pivotally mounted on a second end of the rear support stand 10 by two opposite third pivot plates 25 (see FIG. 5) and a second end pivotally mounted on a second end of the front support stand 11 by two opposite bolts 13 (see FIG. 8), and two support racks 14 (see FIG. 10) each having a first end pivotally mounted on the rear support stand 10 by two opposite pivot bases 15 (see FIG. 6) and a second end mounted between the top plate 20 and the table plate 22. The foldable computer table further comprises two opposite storage baskets 26 each mounted on a respective one of the two support racks 14.

Preferably, the second end of each of the two support racks 14 has a first portion rested on the second end of the top plate 20 and a second portion rested on a mediate portion of the table plate 22.

The foldable computer table further comprises two opposite positioning plates 16 (see FIG. 4) mounted on two sides of the table plate 22, and two threaded fastening knobs 17 (see FIG. 4) each extended through a respective one of the two positioning plates 16 and each screwed into the second end of a respective one of the two support racks 14, so that each of the two support racks 14 is fixed on the table plate 22 by the two fastening knobs 17.

As shown in FIG. 1, at the expanded state of the computer table when in use, each of the two support racks 14 is fixed on the table plate 22 by the two fastening knobs 17, so that each of the two support racks 14 is fixed between the top plate 20 and the table plate 22. Thus, the table plate 22 and the bottom plate 24 are arranged at a horizontal state by limit of the two support racks 14. In addition, the second end of the top plate 20 is rested on and supported by the second end of each of the two support racks 14, so that the top plate 20 is arranged at a horizontal state by support of the two support racks 14.

Referring to FIGS. 9-12 with reference to FIGS. 1-8, at the folded state of the computer table when not in use, the two storage baskets 26 are removed from the two support racks 14 respectively as shown in FIG. 9. Then, each of the two fastening knobs is unscrewed from the second end of the respective support rack 14, so that each of the two support racks 14 is released from the table plate 22 and is pivoted freely. Then, the top plate 20 is pivoted upward relative to the rear support stand 10, and the two support racks 14 are pivoted inward toward the rear support stand 10 as shown in FIG. 10, so that the two support racks 14 are located under the top plate 20. Then, the top plate 20 is pivoted downward relative to the rear support stand 10 to cover the two support racks 14 as shown in FIG. 11, so that the top plate 20 and the two support racks 14 are folded together. Finally, the table plate 22 is pivoted upward relative to the rear support stand 10, so that the front support stand 11 is pivoted with the table plate 22 to move upward and the bottom plate 24 is pivoted with the front support stand 11 to move upward, thereby folding the computer table as shown in FIG. 12.

Accordingly, the foldable computer table is folded when not in use so as to save space of storage. In addition, the foldable computer table is expanded and folded easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating the user operating the computer table. Further, the foldable computer table is folded, thereby facilitating package, transportation and storage of the computer table.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
