Abstract

A fisherman gripping glove system for efficiently gripping a fish without requiring usage of a fishing net. The fisherman gripping glove system includes a glove member having an inner layer, an intermediate layer and an outer layer. A plurality of particulate material is contained within the outer layer for facilitating gripping of a fish. The particulate material is preferably comprised of random and polygonal structures such as chippings from plastic.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to fisherman gloves and more specifically it relates to a fisherman gripping glove system for efficiently gripping a fish without requiring usage of a fishing net.

2. Description of the Related Art

Fisherman gloves have been in use for user. Conventional fisherman gloves are comprised of a rubber inside portion with ribbing for facilitating gripping of a fish. However, after grasping the first fish, the inside portion becomes relatively slippery from the oils released from the fish thereby making it difficult to grasp fish thereafter without washing the glove.

While these devices may be suitable for the particular purpose to which they address, they are not as suitable for efficiently gripping a fish without requiring usage of a fishing net. Conventional fisherman gloves do not provide effective gripping of fish, particularly when used with more than one fish.

In these respects, the fisherman gripping glove system according to the present invention substantially departs from the conventional concepts and designs of the prior art, and in so doing provides an apparatus primarily developed for the purpose of efficiently gripping a fish without requiring usage of a fishing net.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of fisherman gloves now present in the prior art, the present invention provides a new fisherman gripping glove system construction wherein the same can be utilized for efficiently gripping a fish without requiring usage of a fishing net.

The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a new fisherman gripping glove system that has many of the advantages of the fisherman gloves mentioned heretofore and many novel features that result in a new fisherman gripping glove system which is not anticipated, rendered obvious, suggested, or even implied by any of the prior art fisherman gloves, either alone or in any combination thereof.

To attain this, the present invention generally comprises a glove member having an inner layer, an intermediate layer and an outer layer. A plurality of particulate material is contained within the outer layer for facilitating gripping of a fish. The particulate material is preferably comprised of random and polygonal structures such as chippings from plastic.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the invention in order that the detailed description thereof may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the invention that will be described hereinafter and that will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of the description and should not be regarded as limiting.

A primary object of the present invention is to provide a fisherman gripping glove system that will overcome the shortcomings of the prior art devices.

A second object is to provide a fisherman gripping glove system for efficiently gripping a fish without requiring usage of a fishing net.

Another object is to provide a fisherman gripping glove system that may be utilized for extended periods of time while fishing.

An additional object is to provide a fisherman gripping glove system that does not require washing after each usage.

A further object is to provide a fisherman gripping glove system that significantly reduces slippage while grasping a fish.

Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become obvious to the reader and it is intended that these objects and advantages are within the scope of the present invention.

To the accomplishment of the above and related objects, this invention may be embodied in the form illustrated in the accompanying drawings, attention being called to the fact, however, that the drawings are illustrative only, and that changes may be made in the specific construction illustrated and described within the scope of the appended claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

A. Overview

Turning now descriptively to the drawings, in which similar reference characters denote similar elements throughout the several views, FIGS. 1 through 4 illustrate a fisherman gripping glove system 10, which comprises a glove member 20 having an inner layer 22, an intermediate layer 24 and an outer layer 26. A plurality of particulate material 30 is contained within the outer layer 26 for facilitating gripping of a fish. The particulate material 30 is preferably comprised of random and polygonal structures such as chippings from plastic.

B. Glove Member

The glove member 20 preferably has an inner layer 22, an intermediate layer 24 and an outer layer 26. The glove member 20 preferably has five finger portions for receiving the fingers of a user's hand. The glove member 20 may also have an extended wrist portion to cover the wrist of a user.

The glove member 20 may be comprised of various materials. However, the inner layer 22 is preferably comprised of a cloth or similar material for providing comfort to the user. The intermediate layer 24 is a rubber material such as but not limited to latex. The intermediate layer 24 preferably substantially surrounds the inner layer 22 to prevent fluid penetration into the inner layer 22.

The outer layer 26 is also preferably a rubber material similar to the intermediate layer 24. The outer layer 26 preferably substantially surrounds the intermediate layer 24, however it can be appreciated that the outer layer 26 may only cover the palm portion of the intermediate layer 24 if the particulate material 30 is to only be applied to the palm portion.

C. Particulate Material

A plurality of particulate material 30 are contained within at least a portion of the outer layer 26 for facilitating gripping of a fish. The particulate material 30 is positioned within at least the palm portion of the outer layer 26, but the particulate material 30 may extend to the sides and rear portions of the outer layer 26.

The particulate material 30 is preferably comprised of random shaped structures. The particulate material 30 is preferably comprised of polygonal structures with some of the particulate material 30 having pointed ends.

The particulate material 30 is preferably comprised of chippings from a hard material such as plastic. The chippings may be formed utilizing various conventional mechanical devices. The preferred material for usage within the present invention is polyvinyl chloride (PVC). However, various other materials may be utilized within the present invention.

As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed to be within the expertise of those skilled in the art, and all equivalent structural variations and relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A fisherman gripping glove system, comprising:

a glove member having an inner layer, an intermediate layer and an outer layer; and

a plurality of particulate material contained within said outer layer for facilitating gripping of a fish.

2. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 1, wherein said particulate material is preferably comprised of random structures.

3. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 2, wherein said particulate material is preferably comprised of polygonal structures.

4. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 1, wherein said particulate material is preferably comprised of polygonal structures.

5. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 4, wherein said particulate material is comprised of chippings from a hard material

6. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 5, wherein said hard material is comprised of plastic.

7. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 5, wherein said hard material is comprised of polyvinyl chloride.

8. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 1, wherein said inner layer is a cloth material.

9. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 1, wherein said intermediate layer is a rubber material.

10. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 1, wherein said outer layer is a rubber material.

11. A fisherman gripping glove system, comprising:

a glove member having an inner layer, an intermediate layer; and

a plurality of particulate material contained within a palm portion of said outer layer for facilitating gripping of a fish.

12. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 11, wherein said particulate material is preferably comprised of random structures.

13. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 12, wherein said particulate material is preferably comprised of polygonal structures.

14. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 11, wherein said particulate material is preferably comprised of polygonal structures.

15. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 14, wherein said particulate material is comprised of chippings from a hard material

16. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 15, wherein said hard material is comprised of plastic.

17. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 15, wherein said hard material is comprised of polyvinyl chloride.

18. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 11, wherein said inner layer is a cloth material.

19. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 11, wherein said intermediate layer is a rubber material.

20. The fisherman gripping glove system of claim 11, wherein said outer layer is a rubber material.
