Abstract

The necktie is made up of a single piece of material having a front panel area and a knot area and a back portion with the front panel area having given away if forced apart with slight tension from the knot area. The single-piece area displays the knot portion and a back portion to be joined together. A method of constructing a necktie includes cutting a tie from a single-piece of fabric into two-pieces by the neckband portion of the tie. By re-joining the tie into a single-piece with a break in between the neckband of the single-piece tie. Once joined together the necktie become a single tie displaying the knot area and the front portion area of the tie once more.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

This invention relates to new and useful improvements in neckties, and has particular reference to neckties of the snap-on, clip, hooks type that is, neckties in which the neck band portion in divided at the ends.

2. Background of the Invention

Therefore the object of this invention relates to the safety neckwear suitable for use in Locations where safety is required. Another object of this invention is the necessities of Having on neckwear such as neckties can be considered dangerous in many occupations and environments where ties are required to wear as with uniforms or standard Dress Codes. Neckties, mainly, present a safety hazard since they can become entangled into the operating machinery causing the wearer to become choked or strangled. Neckwear worn around the neck of the wearer's betrothed in these inherently dangerous professions may be utilized by an accosted to strangle the wearer. Some ties are unsuitable because there are held in place by hooks, clips, and snaps located on the band of the selected tie. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

This invention is to provide novel means for connecting neckband sections of attachable neckwear. The object of this invention is to provide a type of tie which may be Initially hand-tied by the wearer as he applies it to his neck, in any style that he prefers, in which this process is easily adjusted to his precise neck size but which thereafter may be removed and reapplied without untying or re-tying the knot. Therefore, the object of this invention is to provide a novel type of neckwear suitable for the user in environments where safety is required. By this it is accomplished by dividing the ties intermediated ends into (2) two separate sections which will be in the neck band portion of the tie as a result, providing a secure fastener by using VELCRO, for joining the sections at said divisions. Another object is the providing a piece of VELCRO, fastener device as described above which is adapted for use in converting any ordinary conventional four or six hand necktie for usage in the manver described.

SUMMARY

These and other objects are accomplished with neckwear having a novel connecting Pieces situated in the neckline of the neckwear. The connecting member contains two Sections and joins together the two neckbands to which attached. Both connecting Members are joined together in a releasable engaged manner and are completely separated under tension.

The main advantage for the neckwear of this invention is appropriate for the wearing in Environments where safety is required such as industrial areas. Thereof, said division joined by separable fastener. Neckties are supplied with knots that are pre-tied by the Manufacture and usually said knot of special construction with such construction that they cannot be untied. This type of construction, despite speed and convenience in the application and removal of the tie results gives way to problems and looses its shape. In occupations where pre-tied ties are best suitable for safety purposes in hazard areas. Since this type of detachable pre-tied tie will BREAK-FREE from the neck of the wearer when the front portion of the tie is pulled.

Conventional Ties when entangled into machinery will not pull away from the neck of the wearer, and the wearer may be pulled into dangerous operating equipment. The connecting part is separable under tension; a slight pull on the front panel of the necktie will cause the entire Necktie to become disengaged. This disengagement causes the neckwear to be rapidly removed for the neck with no harm to the wearer, if the neckwear should become caught into operating machinery, the connecting parts will become disengaged and the entire necktie shall be removed.

The neckwear in this invention has similar advantages as the conventional clip-on ties. This necktie need only be tied once and can be worn without untying the knot. Therefore, the attachment and removal can be easier to use because of its design of the connecting parts. (Example, it is readily adjustable in the same manner as the conventional tie and can be worn the exact same way, it also can be worn while the first button is unloosed, while the necktie can also be UN-tighten.)

The neckwear of the invention is impossible tell apart from the conventional tie. Because of the location of the connecting parts in the rear of the necktie, and is placed in the middle of the neckwear's neck after the necktie is properly adjusted to the wear's neck size.

This novel neckwear described herein provides a more positive and secure Attachment to the wearer's neck as many clip-on ties can slip away/apart from its original Position and loose its shape. The uniqueness of this invention is that conventional ties are converted to BREAK-FREE Ties and are suitable for wearing in environments with operating machines. By securing the neckbands of the tie in place, attaching the connecting parts by VELCRO and releasing the neckbands freely and re-joining together by re-connecting the neckbands together without re-tying the tie.

FIG. 1 sets forth an overall view of a necktie, six-in-hand variety of the tie is shown, it is to be understood that this invention is not limited to this particular type of neckwear but extends to all types of neckties included bowties. The tie shown here has a comprising knot. Necktie contains a front portion 15 which is ordinarily noticeable to the observer. In FIG. 1. It is important to note that even though the tie may be pre-tied and remain tied, it is fixed in the same manner as a conventional tie. It functions in all other respects in the same manner as a regular tie except it is positioned about the neck of the user much more quickly than conventional ties and removable merely by pulling on the front portion. Connecting members 20 and 21 is fastened to neckband section in any one of several different ways. The best manner of affixing the connecting member 20 and 21 is not amenable to stitching; several alternative fastening means for attachment are available.

FIG. 2. Shows an embodiment of a fastening means suitable for use in this invention. The ends of the neckband section 20 and 21 is held in position by VELCO male and female portions this functions as a fastening means as well as a connecting member. In operating the sections of the connecting member are engaged merely by forcing male section 20 into female section 21. A final adjustment for comfort of the necktie is made by adjusting the front portion of the tie through a slip knot.

In all the above embodiments, the sections of the connecting member are designed so that they separate from each other when they are under tension. The term “tension” as used herein relates to a force on the connecting member which acts in a direction away from the center of the connecting member. The connecting member is designed so that a predetermined force is necessary to cause separation.

Primary considerations in selecting the force to be utilized in the design of the member are ease of engagement and ease of disengagement. Maximum force of about 45 pounds is more than adequate to cause engagement and disengagement of the sections of the connecting member. Such forces are also much lower than the force necessary to cut off circulation or breathe in the neck area of the wearer, thus eliminating the additional possibility of choking.

1. A neckwear, comprising:

said front panel area has a length of approximately 51 cm;

said knot area has a length of approximately 23 cm; and

said rear portion has a length of approximately 74 cm.

The necktie according to claim 2; wherein said to provide a front panel, re-attachable tie two-neckbands, reconnecting together to make one-band which closely simulate a conventional tie, to provide a re-attachable tie which can be easily be made from existing Conventional tie. Still further the object of this invention is to provide a necktie which is attachable and removable without losing its shape.

The necktie according to claim 2; So far this invention is to provide and attachable neckwear which can be loosen about the neck of the wearer without losing its shape after tied with front-knot.
